We would have been 2nd gear with the ignition lever set to full retarded as it was so slippy. We were very much "learners" when this vid was taken. The outfit had and still has a standard road going gearbox fitted.

what gear were you in then? looks pretty muddy, I struggle on my ty250 on sections like that nevermind on a sidecar trials bike!!

I know i'm not supposed to laugh at someone else's downfall but i must admit bursting out laughing at the end quote. Brilliant stuff, hope you fixed any damages Ok. :-)

Sammy Miller himself was standing at the bottom of the hill. We were all laughing our heads off while we made "running repairs" while Sammy looked on. Bent bars/mudgards etc. Nothing major, We finished the trial ok.
