This isnt the "Ashbringer" Ashbringer is a legendary 2h sword just like the Corrupted Ashbringer, the only difference is the rarity, and you accualy need the Corrupted ashbringer to do some kind of quest chain i belive to get the Ashbringer that is a legendary weapon (orange letters in the name) and the corrupted ashbringer(epic purple letters like this guy have That is NOT the Ashbringer, but the corrupted one you could get from the old Naxxramas(40 man)

No quest. The Corrupted Ashbringer dropped in Old Naxx ( which was removed in WotLK to be remade for Northrend ). If you got it from Naxx when it was available, you can equip it and enter the SM Cathedral. This will happen.

Yeah the Wotlk prepatch that occurred on October 13'th I believe, or the 5th or 3rd. Either date of 2008. Anyways, Blizzard knew the players were getting impatient so Blizz was nice and added the patch with Wotlk's new features earlier than the release date, thus removing the content from the Xpac disc itself into a patch. I was shocked when I realized I could get a haircut without even owning wotlk :P
