good luck carlostn... volvo put a limitor on the xc70. it was 215kn/h. if you would go 260km/h in the volvo xc70 you wouldn´t talk to me. and the 3.2 litre can only go with 240 without any limitor and the d5 can only go with 220
look at the video subaru vs volvo xc70 and you will know! The offroad for volvo is city offroad!!! However I 'll never change...to me it's volvo for life! At the moment it' s 6th and the 850 2.5 10V on lpg is a dream of a car. Next will be the V70.
The Volvo in that video had a bad AWD system. Subies and Volvos are both good, and if someone offered me a newer Volvo I'd replace (or keep if I could) my 765. Wouldn't mind a new Subaru either....
No, it has the Haldex AWD setup. A true 4WD vehicle would be something like a Jeep or Ford Explorer or truck or similar. Different things. XCs tend to be good offroad, and the XC90 is good as well, especially if you have the I6 or V8
Can someone please explain what the AWD system is doing between 2:40 and 2:50. It looks like all the drive is being directed to the one wheel that has absolutely no traction at all.
The front drivers side wheel is spinning, so traction is sent also to the rear wheels enabling traction on two wheels instead of one i.e. the front passengers side wheel and the rear drivers side wheel.

That Volvo was a 4 wheel drive, not all wheel drive, so it was an unfair contest. I have a 09 XC70, and it is awsome off road.
