When General Schwarzkopf was tying to stop the Israelis joining in the gulf war he told them it was a special forces group, when the israelis asked who it was general Schwarzkopf replied with the SAS. After that the israelis stopped there plans to invade Iraq thus stopping half of the middle east going to war
