im totally skived out by bulk isles in stores too,

i worked at a bulk store and daily i had to get on peoples cases for just reaching into bins with out gloves on to sample the food.

Well the germs that cause colds and flu are viruses so I'm not sure. I think if the had stuff is alcohol based it is good on viruses. But you have to rub it in and let it dry.
