A strange place where dangerous creatures roam the countryside. Where horses are seen galloping amongst grassy hills, where planets and moons shine with the stars at night. Where ice castles stand in the flurries of snow. Where great heroes rise up against the tides of Oblivion to bring about the Morrowind. Where mad princes rule and the Dumner hide in the black wind.
Sorry but the quality isn't the best I've heard... still lovely though.
Thumbs up if you want to join me in my murderous campaign against the elven races - sniping Bosmer, de-smugiffying Altmer and beating the crap out of Dunmer!
ill have to agree with dragoon. the time is all over the place. fanfare type music is usally in 4/4 or 2/4, but i was not able to follow a four beat phrase or two beat( more so four than two). it had a 3/4 or a 6/8 time which is like a waltz. its pretty cool that you able to put it all to gether on a keyboard or what ever you used. but yes the time is not right. sorry :(
@JonasIsdiaNeravar I didn't know which u meant, it was on a transitition sorry. The first one is the Azura shrine, the second is (Im assuming) a shrine for one of the Daedric Lords of the four-corners, the four being the Lords of bad things...
While listening to this I realized something everyone already knows! Morrowind and Oblivion are the same pieces of music! (I don't have Morrowind so don't have a go at me!)
Though I agree with 124thDragoon (It seems more rushed than ingame?), it sounds fantastic. Extremely beautiful, and really good job you've done there!
The Elder Scrolls Games are in my opinion BY FAR the best roleplaying games ever!!! This theme brings back a lot of memories and sends shivers down my spine.
is it just me or is the entire thing rushed? i can play both the Morrowind and Oblivion themes on the Cello but this is in a completely different time, and rushed at that. props for the effort though.
It's just you...I listened to the official theme while recording this to get the tempo right. If you check the link (second from the top) to the right under related videos you see that the Morrowind theme officially is about 1:52. This, once through, is 1:50. That's a pretty darn close tempo if you ask me.
Yeah it sounds more like a Kickdrum on a Drumset...A real timpani would be good. Yamaha keyboards have really nice timpani sounds, and alot of nice ones. I'd consider that next time your keyboard shopping, hehe. Sounds nice though.
Read the title: Morrowind Theme for Morrowind and Oblivion. I just let the watchers know that the pictures that followed Oblivion were from that game, not morrowind...
Yeah...a lot of the drum beats are slightly off. As to the "kick" in the drums and cymbols, there is only so much variation one Roland keyboard can do!
heh, I'd like that as long as they did justice to dark elves. give them their real voices, and their real faces. the dark elves of oblivion were completely different! (although, you can tell how easy it is for a morrowind-born dark elf to tell who's an 'outlander'. just look for the guy who won't shut up about mudcrabs)
This is amazing!!! Love the contrast between the instruments and the thought of doing this all on a keyboard is mind blowing! *pats you on the back* Great job! Love it!
Still my favorite game of all time

An Elder Scrolls novel would be good anytime now (I am hinting that the development team or the storyboard writters make a novel *cough* *cough*)

That was amazing! You put alot of emphasis on the usually quiteish bits, which made it sound better. I would love this as its opening theme :).

I think its a Timpani drum, not a Kickdrum. But nice.
SilverSodaCan 3 years ago
The only option for a drum that I had WAS a timpani on the Roland. It just doesn't sound like the real thing unfortunately...

sirberegond9 3 years ago
Heh...just wanted to repeat it for those who really like it, and wanted to use new images.
CrossroadsofTwilight 3 years ago
Then why do you classify it as Oblivion. If your going to do that, put Oblivion up!

You're pretty perceptive. Yes...that is another reason why I have oblivion stated as well as why I just wanted new pictures.
CrossroadsofTwilight 3 years ago
now that was amazing but a bit of heads up u need to make the drums better timing and put less kick drum and more cymbals but well done!!!
bravo...

JamesRJ6754 3 years ago
Yeah...The drum beat was a toughie to get right. I had to listen and write down which beats that the drums keyed in on.
CrossroadsofTwilight 3 years ago
Piano drum beats are increadibly anoying and well done for actually getting it sounding well, i can be bothered to figure them out.

They should bring out an expansion for Oblivion in which you can go to Morrowind in and it is basically the same game but better graphics.
