They have been putting more of them underground these days; but can't in most areas of S. Florida because the ground water table is only a few feet under the surface. Very few areas are more than 8 ft. above sea level. In this video probably only 4 ft. above sea level.
I get why some places in the US hang traffic lights from wires or on polls across the road, considering that is the EASIEST way to be destroyed by storms!
It is always interesting to me to see clips showing just how vulnerable our modern infrastructure really is to the power of nature. Thanks for posting this!

@abc467 Actually, It is proven that pole installations are MORE hurricane resistant than span wire installs.

Those poles are only held in the ground by soil for the most part, they should have something else for anchorage.
