When you take gun safety courses, not shooting at anything metal is one of the first things they teach you. He was shooting at a steel plate.

Until someone can explain the physics of a bullet doing perfect a 180 degree turn and maintain a good amount of velocity at that range, I'm calling bull shit on this video. If a bullet hit something hard enough to cause it to ricochet, and hit it at an angle that would theoretically send it backward again, it would fragment into itty bitty pieces within a few yards radius, not fly back and hit the shooter. No way in hell this could really happen.

From the looks of it the bullet ricocheted from the iron bouced off the ground then his ear muffs it didnt shoot straight backwards it was probably like flipping around after it richoeted of the iron or something

possibly if it was an APR round due to its solidity but then you would have to take into account the massive amount of energy the bullet would lose on the ricochet, the momentum would be diminished by at least a factor of 3, which is why (if this is real) the bullet didn't completely vaporize his head.
