  • I am a recovered fibromyalgic who left the medical profession to discover the cause and cure for this horrific disease after 15 years of failed treatments. I understand this illness completely from the inside and back out again. Symptoms are often mistaken as a cause and what can help does not cure. Please, do not give up and keep going. See my You Tube video "Curing Chronic Fibromyalgia - Choosing What Works" and my best wishes to you all!!!

  • Awesome. Thank you.

  • thank you for making this.

I'm 23 and I take more pills than my 84 year old grandmother.

I was a proud member of the navy, and now I'm being shunted from department to department because i cannot do what I enlisted to do, and I will be getting an entire year shaved off my contract because the military doesn't want to deal with my condition anymore.

it's so hard for people to understand. I'm sharing every single one of these videos with my friends and family to try to help them understand.

  • TO ALL: I am so glad i found you here. I am happier to hv online spt--doesnt it help? sure does..

I was inj in car crash and have FIbro/Neuro and more. I find that resting in mid day helps me a lot and talking to those who know.

    Blessings, Vee

  • lyrica is not a Pain med per se but has recently been found/used for treatment of Fibro/Neuropathy> I believe Fibro is a form of Neuro-pain. Lyrica is meant to be used in conjunction with other pain meds> I use vicodin too. And Ibu 800. At times, or at most times, I'm still in pain but it does take the edge off for parts of the day.

    best, Vee

  • bttr, : ) blessings, I too am withOUT health insur..but you can get Lyrica and other meds for FREE from the drug company. I found a local clinic in my town that charges sliding scale($15) and help with PT, Counseling and meds. I >Lyrica website and asked for Patient Assistance Programs. it's so easy! I am now waiting for my Lyrica. I TOO HAVE all the pain symtoms you listed. It's horrible! But having spt helps.

Vee, ( let me know if need more help : )

  • To emerald415 your "friends" and family may stand against you, but YOU truly know how you feel. even though he means well, my dad is always telling me its in my head. my friends use to tell me i was a druggie because my doctors had me on so many pills. and even though they knew i never abused them, they never have really accepted it. just remember you are not alone- there are millions of "us" out there- and only we truly know how much we struggle from day to day-cherish your good days / moments!

  • i know i have had fibromyalgia since i was in the 4th grade- now i'm 30- but it wasnt until 3 years ago a Dr. finally said the words i wanted to hear- yes you have fibromyalgia. For so long i couldn't wait for a Dr. to stop doing tests- open his eyes and say those words- we ALL knew my diagnosis. now i'm a bit relieved- but still frustrated hardly anybody knows about this condition. i look normal on the outside, so few people believe me. Wake up. Fibromyalgia is here! start educating yourself!

  • oh sweetie! your story touched my heart(&my 18 yr old daughter's). We too have it, along with other pain conditions(whiplash inj). U know I too was sad when my OWN family didn['t beleive me nor take it serious, but I found friends who supported me and online like this..

I'm glad you finally got your diagnosis. I hope u have a good dr too. BLESSINGS< Vee

  • I was recently diagnosed with this illness and to my amazement some of my friends and family stood against me and told me I was a fake. That it was still all in my head. I knew I'd been right all along. You dont fake this. I still have pain EVERY single day. Some days are better than others. Thanks for the video. People need to know.

    Robin

  • Honey, I know I have been diagnos too! with this and Neuropahty from a whiplash inj(car accid). My family think it's in my head. I know the feeling of aloneness and fear: will this ever end?why? what can I do to feel better? why does my family ignore me? why do I die a social death?

    Emerald, you're a gem : )

  • Its a shame that awareness isnt vast but if they cant see it or its not "cancer" it cant be real....just a shame. Hang in there vee!

    Im pullin for you!

  • Thank you : )

Even cancer I read is being changed over to the chronic category because of live saving technology, but still the person "suffers" and needs that support. I want to be a support to others as you have been to me today.

    GOOD points, Vee

  • I hope it works for you

God Bless and let me know.

    Emerald

  • I had a good day today--fist "good pain day" in a long time! some days I feel like I want to die, really! I KNOW FBM exist!

who diagnosed you? I got several diagnosis: Neuropathy; Fibro; Myofascial Pain Syndrom(similar to FBM).

I will be on Lyrica soon, try that yet?

    Blessings, Vee

  • girl! you always pick great music!!

  • Interesting video! Thanks for the information! Sheila Shaw has been living with chronic illnesses for over 20 years and she teaches how to reclaim your life despite living with a chronic illness. Search for success stories; they are out there! We have to take control of our health and seek websites such as this one! Thank you for such great information!

  • Hi there,
