  • The Scarlet letter was A for adultery stupid lady :P

  • Miss Cox is a fit! Hahahahaha

  • What a great show. Too baby it only lasted two seasons. Much darker than M*A*S*H. R.I.P. Harry Morgan, your work entertained your loyal fans for decades and you will forever be missed.

  • I had never seen this before...what a great spinoff....

  • Alma Coxx? Who volunteered?? Lmao

  • Max Klinger is the perfect example why resourceful people are a must have.

  • tv would be more fun to watch on youtube if it wasnt so pixelated and unclear. :( still enjoyed Christopher/Mulcahy though <3

  • Miss Cox, the female frank burns. God help us.

  • Thanks

  • This must have been taped from an old VCR from your TV, and converted to a DVD-ROM of M*A*S*H....oh wait I have to call my CAP to do my taxes before the IRS calles the FBI and then I will be DOA.... I will let u know what happens ASAP....hehehehe

  • @chicagofrank2010 what is DOA? ive been wondering for soooo long!

  • @funnyclipluvr Dead On Arrival

  • Thank you for the upload, egallity. This was excellent to watch.

  • Thank you for the upload, egallity. This was excellent to watch.

  • Thank you so much for posting this. I haven't seen it since it first aired and had forgotten how much I liked it then. What a treat!

  • does anybody remember what time after mash came on?

  • @gothsoul82 after mash aired on CBS. from september to march on Mondays from 9-9:30. then from april of 84 to june, it was on sundays from 8-8:30. from july-october it was on tuesdays from 8-8:30 then in december it was on tuesdays from 8-8:30. the reason i know this, I have a book called The complete directory to prime time network and cable tv shows from 1946 to present.

  • @TheMashwatcher585 thnx for the info

  • Anyone else think that dress Alma Cox is wearing would look better on Klinger? I don't know why, but it just isn't working for her.

  • They shoulda had a guest appearance from Alan Alda. It was good to see this, thnx for posting.

  • @ForHisNameSake1236 Alda was too important to link himself up to this!

  • Harry Morgan in great book Charlton Heston:An Incredible Life!

  • Harry Morgan in graet book Charlton Heston :An Incredible Life!

  • This show was good but too left-wingish!

  • There was only one problem. Klinger told the judge that he prayed to Allah but it was known from the MASH show that he was an Atheist.

  • @GOOB1966 ;) Du you believe what Klinger says?... Besides he did it once or twice in MASH so why not?

  • It may not has been the best shoot at a spin off, but i love seeing Father. He's so cute!

    Also, closure. Unanswered questioned, answered.

  • I love Father. No matter what he does he'll always be a Honey Bunny!

  • Gorgeous episode! Just wondering, I heard somewhere that on AfterMASH they said Hawkeye and Margaret had gotten married and were living in Crabapple Cove. Do any of you know if this was true, or if so, what episode?? Thankyou!!

  • Excellent. I really enjoyed this - made me smile. I enjoyed MASH but did not realize this show existed. It was good to see what happened to the characters after MASH but I can understand why the show did not make it. I particularly liked Klinger's description to the judge of his problems re-adjusting and Klinger saying that he prayed to Allah and his wife prayed to Buddha (so the the Father could hear again). America could really use that acceptance of diverse religions.

  • Ahead of it's time, it shouldn't have been canceled so early.

  • Father Mulcahy was a great chaplain and a lovely human being! My brother had the

pleasure of meeting William Christopher in person and he is a very nice man with a

level head that didn't let being a celebrity go to his ego.

  • It's a good spinoff, it has it's aughs, butnot the focus of satire like M*A*S*H, Alan Alda should have made quite a few cameos.

  • very good love the series M*A*S*H but this was good but to dam shourt

  • Yes this is not M*A*S*H but created out of M*A*S*H and would have suceeded if not pitted against the `A team`

However if they had a guest apperance of all the M*A*S*H cast throughout the series there would have been closure for many fans.

Now after all this time I`m so glad I was able to see it, really enjoyed it.

  • This was better than I remembered it. Thanks for posting this.

  • I've always wanted to see this thanks for making it available.

  • Alma Cox is Frank Burns in a dress.

  • @snake063 lol.

  • Hmm is the correct comment working?

  • This just seems like more of the old........ Nothing diffrent. That and no hakeye and no bj and not hot lips and all the other people who made up that amazing family. You need all or one. But great to see what happens :) thanks for posting!!

  • this show COULD have worked if we all could have gotten over no Hawkeye.

He WAS only PART of the show!

  • wish this show would have gotten picked up it was realy funny

  • awesome. thanks for posting ^^

  • I never knew this show was on. I loved MASH. I think by the time it came out everyone was tired of the MASH time. I wish they would put this show back on.

  • Thank you for sharing this, im 27 and ive been a MASH fan ever since I can imagine, and I have always wanted to see this show to complete the legacy of the series. Thank you again. -A.R.M.

  • Thank you so much for putting this on. The pilot was great. I love the show mash and i wanted to see this i may be only 25 but the show has been great for me to watch growing up. So i thank you so very much for putting this show on here they need to make it on dvd

  • what was this "record" crap? even back then weren't medical records confidential?

  • I would have enjoyed this show, but it was probably put on too soon after MASH for the die-hard fans to be able to accept it as its own show.

  • First time I saw this episode. I was laughing. Especially at the jokes regarding Klinger's nose. Damn shame it ended before it had a chance to grow wings.

  • " I prayed to Allah SHE prayed to Buddha?"

  • What?

  • Oh I see.

  • what happened to the rest of the series that was on here ? anyone know?

  • This was the pilot episodes for After MASH. Apparently it didn't rate well so it was cancelled.

Shame really, maybe the timing was wrong. I was really getting into it.

  • no i meant that at one time that every episode was on here i was watching them then i couldnt find them on here

  • It was a modest success, rating 15 its first season. Then they decided to pit it against the A-Team and it flopped and was cancelled halfway through the season.

If they had kept it in its original timeslot, it probably would have lasted 3 or 4 years.

  • Thanks for posting this. It's not MASH but it would be the best sitcom on TV today.

  • Definatley fits todays humor style, I dont see how this made it on air back then!

  • @rogerrodd This aired way too soon after the original M*A*S*H ended,I firmly believe.

  • it's abit cheesy but good

  • Anyone have the episode with Gary Burghoff?

  • im glade you put this here

    mash was always my fav...

i can see why this didnt last to long

  • people ompared it too much with Mash, I think it should have had a different name like cheers and frasier so people would not hold too much of the comparison

  • This was better than I thoght it would be.

5/5 Thanks again for the posts!

  • Tory. It was a very good series but it was a little bit short of excellent. No Alan Alda, no Korean War and the mistake of advertising Mulcahy (considered by some to be the show's most dull character) as a central character!

  • I sometimes think it would have been better if they'd just had Potter and Klinger, no Mulcahy. It just smacked of desperation to keep Mulcahy around for no good reason. But I guess if William Christopher wanted to come back, there was no stopping him.

  • I think they just should have emphasized Mulcahy a little less and things may have worked out better. They could have kept Mulcahy on the show though---just not advertised him as one of three leads! Honestly, his part was not that much bigger here than on the last Mash eps of the last few seasons. But he got too big a billing!

  • Mulcahy was always my favourite character on the show. No real reason, he just struck me throughout the whole series of MASH. I rather like that he's shown up on this as well.

  • @egallity this series was about the aftermath of war if you hvent been in a war let me tell you it changes you and has an impact for life

  • @egallity actually when mash ended potter kinger and mulcahy were among the few to vote infavor of continuing the show, basicly they half pitched the idea, but i will admit alan alda would have made the show a bit better

  • @egallity i recon Mulcahy was one of the best characters in the whole series!

  • I liked Mulcahy as a character. He was the kind of character that could change and develop rapidly, you see him as an innocent person, but when Margaret gets hassled, he punched the man. He can hold his own under pressure, and has a good view on people.

  • To me, he was probably entertaining because he didnt fit who he was supposed to be. He's a gambling, boxing priest.

  • I agree with what metorite1209 said and Mulcahy was not a dull character. He was the best and my favorite character on the show.

  • Bestmanme08:

Whathahell, man??? Mulcahy is my GOD. My favorite character, hands down. With his cute little priestiness. I thought it was pretty awesome that he drank, gambled and boxed.

All he needs, for ever and more, is a big fat hug. He DESERVES the stuffing hugged outta him for being the least-dullest, and most adorable character on M*A*S*H. He even passes by Radar as most cute.

Meteorite, you said what I've always been thinking, man!

    Mulcahy Forever<3

  • He was the cutest when he sing a chaplain in the army OMFG I laughed so hard!!! or when he said some men have it ... lol he rules, he deserves that hearing back plus he was the more humane, but eh more mysterious

  • It looks like it was an excellent series, I can't believe it only lasted two seasons.

  • MASH has their commandments off. Honoring parents is 5, murder is 6, and adultery is 7.

Did they get a real amputee to play that role?

    Go Klinger! And yay, Padre!

    Mas, por favor?
