My band does the heel-toe glide march, so I'm not exactly a fan of your marching style, but it did look good. I like what you all did with your horns. You had a few brief phasing problems throughout the band, but they were quickly fix, so good job for that. I like the entry cadence, very fun stuff. That's a huge band compared to mine, though we live in a small town. A few of the lines should remember to guide right. When you're on the other side of the track, the phasing problems are very
the year before this, we had 14 cymbals. We are definitely not loaded. None of our equipment is top quality, and barely scratches good quality. The cymbals are actually pretty darn crappy.
Not necessarily...a competition band would get loaded with money by the district and donors and stuff like that...we aren't a comp band. ie. CLHS in Texas (my sis was in the band there) took ten buses, two large u-hauls, and a repair truck to EVERY game...that's a lot of money almost every week, plus competitions. We don't go to away games, except for finals. The drumline has a semi-large number, but the majority of equip is almost 20yrs old (excellent condition, though none are bad)
u guys dont go to away games? thats lame v__v away games are much more fun than home games to me. my hs band has 270 members. the biggest in our district. but we are a comp band and we have a ton of sponsors. thats why i figured u guys would have a reasonable income.
we are also biggest in the district...actually, for quite some miles around (marching band isn't that big in Michigan), but we aren't a comp band, so no sponsors. Kind of a shame, we could have so much more fun...I would love to go to away games. Games are just so much more fun than anything else...get more for my fours years in :)
Every band I have ever heard of has sensitive plumes, and basically everything including the instruments and the uniform itself is sensitive to rain....
dude i was at that game! awesome! i'm gonna be in this band next year so like in...four months! i'm tryin out for symphonic band in june. my sister was at midland high the last four years she graduated 2007. :D
Actually, no. I looked it up for myself (I've only read the spyder cadence, never heard it) and it does sound similar, but its not quite it. The snares and tenors are definetly different then the actual thing.
What is a cadence??.. Mascot?

this band looks huge, our band is 143 members strong, btw why arent u guys in parade squades of 5 instead of clumps
TaskForceRanger48 3 years ago
Clumps? In this vid we are in rows of 8...
Otherwise we have squads of 4 for drills and stuff.
We have 212 this year...but that's pretty small compared other bands with 300+ in them.
