I agree with some of what you say. BUTT being a coal miners son and a coalminers great grandson from VICCO KY. THIS IS OUR LIFE AND LOOK AT THE KY, ELK, minning feeds our familys and builds for a new future, what good is a mountain >? other than looks. I lived on top of one most of my life and moved away ro buy a level farm
I think I agree with what you're trying to say, but strongly disagree with the language. I get called a tree hugger because of the actions that result from my respect for all existence. If I love the trees and the earth, but not the people destroying it, I am being as closed minded and biased as they are, I feel.
Me and you are a lot alike YouAre, and I am sorry for the language in my above post. But it gets me mad to see our state and mountains being destroyed like this, it really really does. I'll behave and use better language in the future, and please understand: I'm on your side completely!
I really liked your video and your channel. If you need any help getting this video or channel exposed I use a site called tubeviews.(net) It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position. Its nice.
Hey i gotta idea. Why dont we all just stop minin coal ,turn off our tvs, turn off our lights well turn everything electric off stop using toilet paper and cutting down trees. Sounds stupid huh? well thats because it is. The coal that is mined is used to power 80% of America. If you dont like it then move to Canada Where theres plenty of trees.
i dont know about you people but i work for a living and dont have time to do stupid shit like this get a fucking life and a job other than hugging trees fuck all of you
there are things in life worth fighting for alot more important things than this we are the ones that keep the lights on and pump alot of money into the communities around us if you dont like coal cut off the power to your house
If you want to clean the creek get people to stop putting their sewage in it. Thats the # one problem. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. YOu kids mean well but you are way off. Unless you dont use electricty?
Many of us are doing our best to disconnect from dirty energy, but the real solution comes from policy change. Policy and lifestyle change is how we keep the creeks clean, regardless of whether it's the big business or the individual polluting it.
I have lived and worked in the coal fields of Appalachia. The biggest impact on the environment in this region comes from the people who live there. They dump there trash into the hollers and pipe their toilets directly into streams. They have made this area into a sewer that will never recover - even if the coal companies ceased operations. This is the most backwards area of the USA where people aspire to get didabled in order to collect welfare and sue the coal companies.
It's just called the WV Legislature in West Virginia; we do not have a General Assembly. Anyway, West Virginia is run for coal companies only. Any politician who stands up to them gets torn apart. The Democratic Party is just as guilty as the Republicans, but only because the Republicans haven't been in power. If they were in power, things would be far, far worse.
I can't believe the USA is chopping off the tops of our Mountains so fast and so recklessly, just to save a few labor dollars. DEMAND that they re-hire UNION WORKERS to mine the shafts again! We need the work and we need to save our mountains for our children
