I love how you play. It is so very Beautiful. I have my own interests in playing the Lyre, although I do not know where to find one nor do I know any one that has ever played one. Some people that ive discussed the interest, in playing the Lyre, have said "whats that?" So my friend do you think you might be able to point me in the right direction.. Thank you------- Shalom
Glad you like it! A studio quality recording of "Yigdal" arranged for my replica Lyre of the Ancient Hebrews is available for instant download from cdbaby - it is track 22 on my album "King David's Lyre; Echoes of Ancient Israel"...
This amazing "Kinnor Harp" is made by "Mid East ethnic Instruments" for just $240! I have a series of online lyre lessons on Youtube, "LEARN TO PLAY ANCIENT LYRES". This piece can be heard in studio sound quality on my CD "King David's Lyre; Echoes of Ancient Israel", available from cdbaby & Apple iTunes...all the details are on on my Youtube Channel Page.
That is a very pretty tune, and well-harmonized. I gave it (****) only because I thought that most of it (leaving out the ending) wasn't quite as expressive rhythmically as some of your (*****) videos. But it's much close to a 5 than to a 4.

This little bit sounds like "DECK THE HALLS"
Fa la la la la Lal lal lal lal
Pete Seeger composed a song which he called "GOLDEN RIVER"
("Sailing down my golden river, but I was never alone").
He didn´t realize until about two months later that is was very
similar to the well known Christmas song "DECK THE HALLS".

Not to be mean, but are your fingers buzzing against the strings, or does this instrument just sound kind of flat?
