Saw this show at wembley in 1993 and still the best concert `i have seen after all those years, and this song still the greatest live experience of my life,,,,,,,
amazing how every song on the tour sounded a bit different each time, edges solo is unreal i wish they would release something like this into the mainstream charts
"take the money, honey", seems to be directed at Bono himself. Achtung Baby, according to Bill Flanagan, is a loose sort of concept album, where a fella leaves his wife, maybe his family, to seek out the pleasures of night life. by the moment Ultraviolet is played, he has returned to his wife. Acrobat shows him asking himself how he can "talk like this and act like that", and Love Is Blindness seems to say that "the knot is slipping", and maybe the lovers are concealing their new reservations.
JULY!!! Arrgghh the wait is killing me haha. I get to see them in Toronto on September 16th, New York on September 24th and Vancouver October 28th. 2009 is fantastic!
Mind my manners??? Ok all im saying is I love Achtung Baby and I wish they would play the songs from it that they only played during Zoo Tv (ultraviolet, love is blindness, tryin to throw) I am glad they are still around making music. Don't call me selfish cus I luv one of the greatest rock albums of all time!
Every time edge performs this solo it turns out different! but always great and keeps it interesting. And yea Bono and that girl were getting quite comfortable there!
okay, um i know that it's customary for bono to dance with the chick in the song but what's with the last 15 or so seconds?! it's like they just cut it off before they started making out.
I think 'Love is Blindness' is one of those songs people just dont apprechiate, am all for 'bad, bloody sunday and the likes but this has to be my all time fav u2.
I think this song is highly underappreciated. When I hear people talk about the best U2 songs, I never hear them mention this one. It's one of my favorite U2 songs of all time.
U2's best song, have said it for years. Achtung Baby is their best album and every song stands on its own and is brilliant but they actually fit together also. This one was a notch above Acrobat, which was a notch above Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses (which I slayed in karaoke, wow is that one a hard song to sing).
Agree, ACHTUNG Baby is a true Masterpiece and should have been their second album of the year grammy!
a collection of songs, thatwill never be surpassed! in addition to this, it was the greatest u-turn in music history. with the backlash rattle and hum got, this album cam out and showed the world, u2 were the most creative band under pressure ever!
a masterpiece
chords sequesnces and riffs are stillcopyied from this album today by yourngbands...
Brings back so many memories of the Zoo TV tour and all the otheru2 concerts I had the pleasure attending (9 in total). One question, where do I get a pair of those pants?
yes that's true...but also the way they are playing the song is very different than the album version...and then ofcourse you have the fantastic solo by Edge...classic
for The Edge's guitar is an extension of his soul
