you are right tho.. i can go ages with no brakes at all when i stand up and balance with my legs but i just cant be bothered standing up most the time so i just sit down, but just do what ever is easier and comfortable for you if your learning

speed = cool, the more speed the easier to balance... but if i pop a manual.. i dont sit with my ass on seatpost... cause i HAVE to use rearbrake when keep ass on seatpost... try hover ur ass behind rearwheel to keep balance!! this will reduce ur rearbrake work... keep on the good work !!

i have good balance on slow manuals too, riding a unicycle is good for that.. i hardly use rear brakes anyway when i sit down, i only sit down for long manuals.. your arms don't get as sore and its easier
