  • make mac osx for PC users to its a bit of a fail that we can oly use windows 7 and not mac i think mac need to make osx for all that will stop the Hackintosh +make them money+save them money how lazy are the ppl that work at mac tock me like 1 minit

    to work that one out

  • Just go to thepiratebay and download all the OSx86 / Hackintosh software , bootloaders, and ebooks it's easy...

  • cause psystar make all hackintoshes... n00b.

  • @SomeRandomMacGuy No they do not, many companies try and make a Hackintosh or people pirate OS X, to create their own.

  • well in europe it's legal

There's even a company that sells them over europe , apple can't do a thing about it cause it's all legal acoording to the eu.law

Just check out the site ' pearc'

  • I personally think the best thing apple could do, is instead of spending a ton of money to fight it and sue it, maybe create an "OS X Open Edition" which costs a decent bit more (Like, windows price) but is pretty much with the locks already off. That way Apple can at least make their share of the money from OS X. Would make life a lot easier for everyone really. For the most part though, Apple doesn't have much loss to hackintosh anyways, most users whom go Mac are not advanced enough to do it.

  • @LianellEsorrasilome I like the idea, but Apple will never go this route.

  • they sure do still macsrpcs (.) com

  • ITS STILL NOT THE END

  • @NotslonyWar It never will be! lol

  • Jobs knows that developers that want to develop on the app store will have to register their develop machine they've need a real mac for the app store serial key. Apple focus has just shifted away from development computer users - Sure the graphic artist apple fan guys will buy 27" Imac's - that fine but who wanted Imacs in the first place - putting a computer behind a glossy 21" screen is so daft , it's not a touch screen's so what's the point.

  • the real hackintosh lies in the PC enthusiast community. it can't be sued and doesn't even need anyone's approval.

  • @ImperialArmour absolutely correct...there is a huge community of hackentoshers...that simply cant be stopped...all the necessary info is right out there mostly on youtube...it was pretty easy to do...well worth it though...

  • I've been a mac user since the early 90s, and through the msft times, when it was seriously difficult to get on the net etc. Mac was cool. Now Steve Job takes $600 of gear, and sells it for $2500 minimum for a desktop. Basically, I hate Jobs for this. He's making tons of money off of iphones, so can he reward his semi-pro users? No, he has to fuck them. So there ya go. FUCK ITUNES and FUCK STEVE JOBS.

I've bought prob ten of computers, but you can't sell a desktop for $1500? FUCK YOU.

  • @TheRealCritique - Professional developers or IT people have been forgotten - the mini mac is a 299 laptop, minus a screen, keyboard 719 euro. Jobs needs to sell at least a proper small tower/desktop box intel I5,6gb of ram, 1Tg disk, 1gb graphics card for 1000 quid inc vat. Apple like selling imacs with glued on computers to overheat and fail in 13-18th months so you take out their 3 year warranty. This from the company that has vision LOL :-)

  • Well it may be the end os psystar, but not the end of the hackintosh. I mean I'm working on building one right now.

  • @iAppleMUSIC It will never be the end, until no one wants OS X.

  • I feel like you'd have to be a moron to form a company that sells hackintoshes, as apple will surely screw you. That's fair. I will still make hackintoshes :)

  • @TheMWGriffin Good point!!! haha

  • YOU CHEAP FUCK'S. JUST BUY A MAC.

  • @mrblackout2000 But it's you Mac users think it's O.K. to run Windows in Boot-camp, and Parallels ... Mac users are hypocrites ...

  • @maw88ify i'm a pc

    away's have been.

  • @mrblackout2000 Than why are you telling people t buy a Mac ?

I'm a PC as well, but I also run Linux ...

  • all i'm saying is:

when you guys BULID Hackintosh and then start using it.

then all your REALLY DOING IS SUCKING Steve JOBS Dick.

    AM I RIGHT?

its not like i'm a pc fanboy or anything.

its just, thats how you Hackintosh people

    sound like.

  • @mrblackout2000 I do think you know what a Hackintosh is...

A Hackintosh is a PC running the Mac OS and Steve Jobs doesn't like people making Hackintosh PC's so No it not sucking his dick because he would like that... It more like taking his stuff with out paying for it...

  • @mrblackout2000 i want a mac for making music so pc is a very limited option for me but I sure as hell aint gonna go fork out 2000 for a fuckin mac Id rather do some research and build a nice hackiintosh

  • @maw88ify How it's perfectly legal, Microsoft allowed Apple to do this, when they went Intel. You still have to have a purchased Windows OS to be able to do Boot-camp. Apple does not sell OS X to buy alone, only with their computers. Microsoft is a software company that sells only Windows OS. Apple is the opposite a hardware company that bundles OS X with their computers.

  • @toddrecommends Apple did sell OS X in stores by it's self up until just this year .

  • @maw88ify This is correct, I just meant it as you cannot go to Best Buy or any other electronic store and buy OS X, you have to buy directly from Apple.

  • @mrblackout2000 lol, if only they would do this!

  • NO way the guy down the street builds and sells about 15 to 20 per week. wich is not large volume but the quality of his system sis second to none.

  • Not on Apple-labeled hardware in OS Xs EULA is hurting Apple. I think I know why Apple won this case about ©! (Apple says the "hacking" procedures violate the DMCA.) Fair Use asks:

    1. Did they enrich it to give it new meaning?

    2. Non-commercially, Was it used in a comment, educational, or used in a parody?

    3. Is the amount barrowed used small?

    4. Only if all the previous answers are no, then they ask this question: Is the amount barrowed going to hurt the market of the copyright owners?

  • ...? Wow, so if Boeing goes Bankrupt, that ends aviation??? No!

  • Installing osx on PC is so much easier thesedays compare to 2 years ago when I start playing around with it as a hobby, lol . I guess this is just a start of hackintosh, the future is coming!

  • Of course not.

Everything Psystar has ever made, was 100% stolen from the OSx86 community.

It's all free, it's all open-source, and Psystar tried to profit from it.

  • @MikehMike01 Yes fuck Psystar. This will not end hackintosh.

  • The Hackintosh will be around as long as there's someone who wants liberty in their personal computing. While I have not personally installed OSX onto a Windows-based PC, I have every intention of doing so at some point simply for the sake of trying it. Apple can take their EULA and shove it up their west coast, tree-hugging, double-standard asses. At least M$ allows people to install Windows wherever they please as long as they have a license. It's a shame to see the fall of Psystar. RIP.

  • Dammit, it's pronounced "SIGH-star", like psychic or psychopath.

  • @LessthanJake14 sorry, I'll try to not to mispronounce it again!

  • Given what just happened to Psystar ($2.7 million settlement and they still have the Florida case to worry about) I think no company within the US is going to build Hackintosh as Apple now has the DMCA to back up any shut down efforts it wants to use.

  • I LOVE MY HACKINTOSH.Apple did this once in the 90's. They gave other companies the right to produce mac compatible architecture. It seems that reality may spank the CEO. The hardware is bonk and the world knows it (save for the super special 2.200.00 aluminum case we all are paying for).

The OSX software will rule the world. If the CEO would get a clue. Check PLS.

  • people may just install hackintosh on any PC or laptops

they may go and build their own hackintosh , they know it could just save money

  • I hate the Mac hypocrisy. They trumpet the fact that you can run windows on a Mac, and yet when you try and do the reverse they scream foul.

  • @tolbane amen brother. it drives me nuts.

  • Well there probably isn't gong to be another pc that comes with Mac OS X, but at the apple store they'll tell you that it's perfectly fine if you install Mac OS 10 on a computer that's not licenced by apple

  • You realize Macs are normal PCs, right? There is no hardware difference. Mac is only a brand name.

Thats why you can run Windows on intel Macs and OS X on any PC. The only limitation for the latter is driver support. You just need a bootloader to emulate the EFI just like Apple emulates the BIOS ont their PCs.

Psystar&friends were just ripping the tools from the OSX86 community. Its not as if they contributed or anything. So there is no reason why the Hackintosh scene would suffer from this.

  • man i love diggnation

  • same here, how long have you been watching Diggnation for?

  • man for a good 6 months now

it better than AOTS or X-Play to me

  • nice, I have been watching since March of 07, but previously I watch Tech Tv, and The Screen Savers from way back in 2001. I have been a long time fan! lol Glad you found Diggnation, do you watch The Totally Rad Show?

  • Psystar isn't the only company that sells Mac clones. While it's likely that the courts will rule in Apple's favor in the US, other jurisdictions don't consider click-through EULAs to be enforceable. There are other companies like PearC and RussianMac, which are in Germany and Russia respectively. Courts in those countries may not rule in Apple's favor, and it simply means that we will always see Apple clones as long as OS X runs on the Intel platform.

    Just my 2¢

  • umm no, downloading music is illegal, has that stopped music downloading? psystar sucks anyways, those pc's are too damn expensive with crappy hardware... ironically, just like a mac xD

  • where can I find latest news on it>? and please can someoen inform me of when the case is set to end? please reply, thank you so much in advanced.

  • I think its fine to hackintosh. Just not selling it pre-loaded. But there is no support and its illegal selling copies of an OS without the consent of the company, in this case, Apple.

So if anything, its pointless to install Mac OS on hardware that wasn't designed for it. Besides, you lose the sexyness that is Apple. Who wants blocks of nasty looking plastic anyway? If i wanted that I'd get a dell.. sick..

  • There is no way in the world to keep people from hacking their pc into a mac. there will be a new one out in no time. There's WAY to many geeks out there. lol.

  • This will not be the end.

It will only hurt it for a while

    then they will come back.

and there is there is way to many ways

    of getting a hackintosh.

So this will not be the end.

  • I agree! I think this will just be what will see in the future from Apple, needing to take action on these companies!

  • @erillanos This IS the end of the commercial-bought Hackintosh.

The underground scene remains STRONG. and will get only STRONGER.

Information just wants to be free.

  • Nice Video!

  • thanks!
