  • 50 cent was a great rapper but now he got rich and stopped trying

  • You would rather have a Lexus, some justice, a dream or some substance?

A beamer, a necklace or freedom?

  • im really when i tweeted "one thing bout music when it hit, u feel no pain"...they rt Drake SMH!

  • @MicIsMe235 that comes from bob marley btw.

  • Love Dead Prez. The video was just retarded.

  • Sarcasm, tongue in cheek... is clearly beyond some people.

  • FUCK YOU ALL

  • i adore this lovely music with the two handsome gentlemen. very therapeutic

  • Dopeness all day.

  • Who produced the beat?

  • twiznatch you really unhappy with these DP aren't you? the point of my response to crowdpleeza, is that no-one gives a shit about or understands (not necessarily in that order) politics anymore, not that rap was made less political as some sort of conspiracy so that it would appeal to whites. My theory is that all the cynicism you hear is just an excuse for not getting involved, which in turn ends up suiting the powers that be. Maybe this is the conspiracy, going way beyond hip hop.

  • How these cats talk about robbin' pizza delivery guys and suburban families in 'Hell Yeah' and then talk about 'justice' in this video, yeah....'fake ass records' for real.

Justice is fucking justice, no matter how you bastardize the concept. Any fucktard thief who makes himself a predator makes himself fair game. Brigands get the rope, nigga. Hope you didn't have any rap video illusions of being a pirate. Where I come from, there's rope-friendly trees as tall as the day is long. Forests full.

  • @twiznatch um... So you have no idea what its like to live in poverty? To live in the ghetto so to speak? K. That is how it really is in the hood, not this glorified life often portrayed by big time artist & drug dealers. The song was clearly tongue in cheek, but please correct me if i'm wrong. Also depicting a struggle, I lived in the hood, held up and everything else. Being white i can say that i even had it better in the hood. I wear my pants upright and have no misconceptions on who i am.

  • back in 01 tenth grade just turned 16 this shit would hammer on my kenwood tornado 12's lolll those shitty subs were the first ones i ever owned

  • underground punk and hip hop=correct

  • damn 6 people don't have subwoofers hah

  • does anyone know where i can find this song???

  • lol. all these doods be jumpin aroun in the video like crack heads xD

  • DEAD PREZ THESE FAKE ASS MF'S AIN'T READY FOR THE REVOLUTION YALL WAS SPITTING ON THIS SONG!!

  • where do dead prez get their dinner? /watch?v=YQ0gz_BC3bA

  • lol my curser went straight to "back" when i saw soulja boy

  • What are the songs' names at the beginning of the video?

  • About time, I'm sick of mainstream making everyone look bad.

  • Dead Prez 4 Prez. Fight the Power.

  • if u want real freedom, watch 'salvation i believe in christ' video

  • Best Lyrics Ever

  • very nice...bro....uauuuuuuuuuuuuu....

  • Why did political rap decline? I say it declined once it crossed over. Eventually rap groups like P.E and Arrested Development started to get alot of MTV exposure outside of Yo MTV Raps. Back in the 90's once that happened that ment that a rap group had crossed over and their music was no longer viewed as "threatening". This in my opinion caused concious rap in general to loose the appeal it had. Getting mainstream(white) acceptance diluted the appeal of political rap.

  • @CrowdPleeza Glad somebody has something to say other than a) Haters. b) "Internet Missionaries. Nothing against trying to talk digital shit, or digitally converting the heathens, but it seems narcissistic to DETRACT from the matter at hand, said matter being ^ Dead Prez' song above us here. 2 Cents: This song is excellent. I love hearing music that tells the Truth. Thank you to all the artists out here doing things for the right reasons; to lift people out of the trenches... OneLove

  • wasn't conscious rap always appreciated by white audiences? i'm thinking of the roots as one example. it's probably pretty hard to draw the line between obscure intelligent rap and mainstream shallow rap given one thing that's particularly true of rap is that there's quality even in the mainstream. i think the average eminem or ludacris song is pretty conscious. i'm guessing what's happened to political rap is what's happened to political thinking: out of fashion, the death of ideology.

  • @TROGULAR10000 I'm a honky, and I like conscious rap. Conscious, tho. Not pretenders, like DP. WTF... You will never hear an apology from me for being white trash. It's a goddamned badge of HONOR. I respect a number of artists, but these I spurn like plague victims. I've shat out chunks of people more worthy of respect than sideways parasites like this. Stic and M1 aint worth what I shave off mah balls every other year. Anyone aligned to that has less respect from me than a bukkake target. Done.

  • @CrowdPleeza it started to decline once was record labels knew they could feed it down the throats of rappers like 50 cent.. expecially lil wayne.. to forgo their old fans and style of music to create major selling(since 14 year old girls are the onlyones who buy cds anymore) songs like lollipop candy shop ayo technology and hot to love.. i mean the record execs didnt even hide what they did with Drake.. they just said.. here is some shitty poppy music disguised as "rap" now buy it tweens!

  • @dadankness lol AGREED 100 PERCENT but i still believe HIP HOP LIVES atleast with people like us who still remember what it was and what it still is.

  • The intro mix was a diss to wack rappers. Wake up children

  • Red Black and Green+Zapatismo= Freedom

  • What's the name of the remix to this beat. i think its a remix of this, the drum beat is exactly the same as this but that melody that repeats every 4 bars is reversed, it was on the dave chapelle show when he was showin an and1 clip

  • THe Real World Is Bigger Than All These Fake Records.

  • @NYCzkidd1 Real Hip-Hop

  • this is that Real Shit .

  • What they need to do is rerelease this song with a better quality video with the same messages and theme of the video and slang the shit out of this video to music stations again, so rap can have a paradigm shift. Messages are best told through rap.

  • the white house is the rock house, uncle sam is the motha fuckin pusha man.

  • I thought Dead Prez was amazing first time I ever heard them and since!! They are real "soldiers" in time of need... When it comes to saying something that matters these dudes lock sh*t down!! I am white, and I dont hear any racism in this song, only reality. They have worked on collaborations with white rappers out of the northwest. So I am pretty sure they arent racist, I think they are F ing sick of society being spoon fed a bunch of B.S. Empowering all people to stand up and wake up!!

  • @Greenborderkeep well delivered there good to see someone thinking from outside the box.

  • @Greenborderkeep

No doubt, well put. No racism here, just real shit.

  • tune

  • THE BESTTTT

  • @hashbury09 you phne me

  • This is Real Hip Hop.

  • yea im white and im all for what theyre sayin in this song i fuckin love dead prez and fuck mainstream i just hope theyre not putting this stereotype on all white people

  • peace of atown got the right idea...fuck the industry...and for the white person down there...they be callin out black people too...the black mc's who flaunt how much money they got and act divine among the cameras and smoke are just as at fault as the white people who flaunt their wealth

  • Dead Prez aren't racist they're angry at all the crooked racist white people of power in this country that oppress poor people and black people alike and if you can't understand that your ignorant hip hop is a lifestyle and freedom of speech shouldn't be suppressed which is part of the message their trying to get across.

  • i saw the soulja boy and thought i got rick roll'd

  • @mhzx10khzfmam2

For real that intro had me fooled for a second did you notice the youtube tags fake rappers haha

  • DOPE ASS INTRO MK fake ass hiphop now daze!!! its bigger than!!!!

  • @butleracid i never said i hated dead prez man lol they hot, my point wa that drake needs to make up his own shit

  • like the beggining. fake records

  • Why is almost every version of Hip-Hop I find on the internet edited? It pisses me the fuck off.

  • the base on this tune was a killer back in 98 and it still is

this was and will remain a hard, heavy tune

    words fail me

  • Fav all time hip hop song...just too bad that this type of hip hop isn't paid for..most people who listen to this kind of stuff only download it. We make who we make popular and mainstream because it's what we BUY...and that happens because of what is pushed upon us.

  • BEST.HIP-HOP SONG.EVER.Guys like this and Canibus are what hip-hop really is.

  • their realy cool and it's realy the Next level virtual shit . Black eyed peas suck . they will never let the beat drop and it's not even thhe next shit exept Dead prez

  • REAL SHIT!

  • Elementary, Watson....

  • @BooYa316, I personally am no fan of Drake but Ithink any true hip-hop fan would recognise that he was trying to pay homage to Dead Prez, not steal from them. I think Most fans realise early on in their listenings that rappers just starting to veterans of the game on occasion borrow lil chunks of each others rhymes and flows to show appreciation & homage to & for each others style, but that being said I dont thinks Drake's dope enough to even pay homage to Dead Prez.....

  • @Kurty451 i agree, i think that was drake's intentions, but the only people know that he's paying homage is true hip hop heads. some people never even heard of dead prez, so they probably thinking it's drake's lines. haha. i can see how some people might think it's stealin. if u use lines in a song that a lot of people(i.e the "wayne generation") are unfamiliar with, then some people will think that. for example, when jay z used a lot of BIG lines, everybody knew that those were biggie's lines.

  • @MKPr0uctui0nsHipHop

the line where you have question marks goes:

if you a fighter, rider, lighter, flame ignitor, crowd excitor,

or you just wanna get high
