He is a boss but he is a friendly boss fight that is designed to get you acquanted with the Vaccum ability similar to how the first boss battle with Bowser is designed to get you used to Action Commands and attack evasion.

The gameplay doesn't really look that bad. It looks really fun.

But the only problem I have with this game is that it's one of the first games to come out for DSi, and it doesn't really push the DSi to it's limits. :/

I think that every new console realeased needs a launch title that can show what the system is capable of.
