according to 'the rest of the story' tv program lawrence hilton jacobs was trying to mug somebody in the nyc subway and gotten severely beaten up by his potential victim
Everytime I see his face,it pissses me off...thinkin about what happend to him in Coolie High...I know it was just a movie, but he sold the ass kickin' and the dying..thats the one movie that gets to me to this day.
does hollywood realize that this guy is a thespian. such art form. such intelligence, wisdom and a sincere spirit. move over betty white, bring this brotha back quickly. he can radiate a role with conviction. thank you so much for sharing this clip with us. this i will treasure. i saw him once on melrose ave in los angeles and he was so coo with a nod of recognition. thumbs up to the nth degree. your directing skills should be expose so that more people can be aware of your style.
after showing his acting chops as joe jackson, it's a shame we haven't seen that again. it's also a shame that there isn't a part for none of these great actors in current films with african americans in it.
Lawrence Hilton Jacobs is so damn sexy!!! I love his eyes they're so big. His nose is perfect. His lips---whoo-ah! He is fine...definitely one of the best actors I've ever seen. He seems so nice and that's good. My respect goes out to Mr. Jacobs and may God continue to bless him.
@InArtMEdia it was a bit much. keep it simple. if you practicing at home that's for you, but your piece for show should always be clean. But keep learning. I'm in the same boat. I just know what I like and don't like even if I make the same mistakes.
I'm really sorry, but your graphics are distracting and unnecessary. I'm trying to watch this interview and then the picture goes away, then I see his foot? Part of being a good graphic designer is knowing when to stop. Please, less is more.

It was a good interview overall, but it would have been MUCH nicer if we heard him speak on one of my favs - "Cooley High" (1975).

I don't get the whole thing. I understnad what he's talking about but why is the video set up like that?
Khleogirl27 3 years ago
it's just a style, it's just my "auteur theory" simply "reflect director's personal creative vision" unfortunately I actually see the world that way.
