Yes the original piece is called Lux Aeterna by Clint Marshall, for the movie Requiem for a Dream. The piece was re-orchestrated for a trailer for LOTR two towers. And it was called Requiem for a Tower.
Recently uploaded a New Synthesia format which provides individual colors for each note type, separated by octaves, and combined with a scrolling staff all in Spectrum Color.
@idontloveyouabymore9 you're right it is from requiem for a dream. But the remix of the song (which this is not) is much faster, louder, and pretty epic. And it is called requiem for a tower. (check out requiem for a tower by escala.) There just names of different renditions.
This song was never in LOTR. Having watched every official videoclip from it, including extended versions of the movie, i can assure you there's no such thing as "Requiem for a Tower". This is from the soundtrack of "Requiem for a Dream", it's called "Lux Aeterna" and was composed by Clint Mansell. Please thumb this up so everyone stops being an ignorant dumbfuck.
This song was originally called Lux Aeterna which was composed by Clint Mansell for the movie 'Requiem for a Dream'. It was reorchestrated for a trailer for the movie 'Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers', which was named 'Requiem for a Tower'. The song has since been used for a wide variety of trailers and commercials, including 'I Am Legend', 'The Da Vinci Code', and a number of others. This song is also often referred to as 'Requiem for a Dream', despite never being officially named that.
@virtualjp1 Mozart composed a song entitled 'Requiem Mass in D minor'. The 14th movement of it is entitled Lux Aeterna, however Clint Mansell's Lux Aeterna is not related to it in any way other than by name.
first of all the song was never called "requiem for dream" the movie that melody originated from was called requiem for a dream, the song itself is called lux aeterna
The song used in Requiem For A Dream is called "Lux Æterna", by Clint Mansell. Lux Æterna is also Requiem For A Dream's leitmotif. Simone Benyacar, Daniel Nielsen, and Veigar Margeirsson rearranged it and re-orchestrated it with a choir and a full orchestra for the "Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" trailer.

A) This song was in one trailer for Lord of the Rings- the Two Towers one. It's not in the book, or the movie.
B) This is a synthesia file. As such, I expected it to be about like average beginner sheet music for the first minute, then explode into crazy stuff halfway through with no warning.

this guy omg this is requiem for a dream just he has not put all of the keys in it so thats when he puts in the beeps so this is not off of lord of the rings guys its all off of the movie requiem for a dream
Hi everyone! Originally this song appears for the first time on a film called Requiem for a Dream! And it is the main title of the film! And it's called Summer Overture being later on adapted for The Hobbit tailler
Alright you Primitive Screwheads, listen up once again:
1) The idea that Mozart wrote a song called "Summer Overture" that sounds exactly like this is bullshit. In the time it takes you to accuse me of helping Clint Mansell steal this piece, you could have learned that information for yourself on Google.
2) This song is still called "Requiem for a Tower". I know that's hard to accept. And, honestly, I know it's not a very good midi file, too. We all need to learn to live with these truths.
@Bissrok there should be a moron test in the sign up for the people who cant use common sense on you tube. got to love the ones who are like this is not a tutorial, the title never mentions tutorial at all
Uh...... this is requiem for a dream.......

nightelf4 1 year ago
@nightelf4 No, sorry you kinda just failed.
1) You're thinking of "Requiem FOR a Dream" not "Requiem OF a Dream"
2) The Internet calls it Requiem for a Dream because it's from the movie "Requim for a Dream", which causes confusion.

@nazihitler666 IT'S FREAKING CALLED REQUIEM FOR A TOWER FROM LORD OF THE RINGS. LUX AETERNA IS THE SONG NAME FROM THE MOVE REQUIEM FOR A DREAM.
