HA! I have been saying for a long time how over-rated and mediocre Brian Bendis is! It's so nice to have someone agree with me for a change! I mean, ultimate spider-man is definitely a solid book, but new avengers and pretty much anything else he writes is mediocre at best and secret invasion was just pathetic.
You'll see that the opinions stated on the CCW channel tend to run against the grain when it comes to what everyone else thinks. For the record, though, I'm a fan of Bendis, although I'm not happy with what he's been doing lately.

I am a sinner and a bad comic book fan. I admit that I am wrong and will try to do better, no matter how pretty the glossy card stock covers look.lol My sin was buying the main series of Secret Invasion. As a result, my comic book OCD is gone and most of my subs will be Dark Horse. Thank you Marvel.
I had the same problem, smallmaniac. Then I went to an intervention. j/k.
Don;t you find buying all those bags, boards and boxes to be a wee bit expensive? And it's not like the books are going to accrue in value that much, not typically.
I just throw my books in a stack, and loan 'em out if I think someone will enjoy a particular title I'm reading.
argh I made a comment on this video and its disappeared
anyway to sum it up Marvel can bite me if they think I'm going to pay 3.99 for a 22 page comic. Actually over here a $3.99 comic actually costs the equivalent of $7.00. would you pay $7.00 for secret invasion?
I'd rather wait for the trade if I were someone overseas, that's for sure. I had an interesting conversation with the publisher of Top Cow Comics, and he gave me some sound reasoning as to why the price of books has risen like it has. I'm writing a column about it and Jose and I may discuss it next weekend.
Perhaps not. Not if the internet can be used to its fullest potential. Look at Trent Reznor and the way he distributes his music. He releases each of his albums for free on his web site and you can order the 'hard copy' directly from him. He typically sells out using this formula. Maybe indie comics can do the same?
Marvel is now owned by Disney so hopefully they will not be hurting so bad for cash.

Ugh, wrong comment for the wrong person.
We still forgive you for buying SI. I can't criticize because I did the same. Glass houses, ya' know?

With recent developments with Diamond Distributors, it looks like the 4 dollar comic is here to stay.
Sigh.
