not all schools give engraved belts or belts with stripes. also, people often have more than one belt. one thats engraved or watever that looks pretty and just a normal one for training. this kick is meant to be fast and let you gain distance against your opponent. this is not supposed to be a side kick. also, in olympic style sparring, theres no point to keeping your hands up. if you do, they will score body shots on you all day long. just wanted to clear up some misconceptions

@moodyeye2003 Yeah same, in England we have gold writing on our's with a bar depending on what Dan you are, For example 1 dan i 1 gold bar.. 2 is 2 gold bar's e.t.c. However, World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) don't use thing's like engraved writing cause their cheap. =]

Everyone gets the kind you mentioned, but some practitioners get another one with nothing on it that they use for demos and stuff like that. I think that's how it is but I'm not too sure about it. I'm not sure if all schools will allow it but if anyone can correct me on this I'd definitely be interested in knowing for sure.

I think he drops the foot stight down cuz he has a bad balance due to poor technique. Just look at how far out his arms are from the body, and after a executed move he often gets in a very unstable stance.

Btw, use the korean names then u wont confuse techniques. But im just a "internetninja" :)

I am a 3rd degree Kenpo Black Belt....Powerful kicks are great...but I have seen and know people who can take a kick like that and grab your leg After wards....If you don't re-chamber and get your leg out of there you will be taken to the ground....:-/

This is a stepping sidekick.. You didn't turn your hip more, so it looks like a step side kick.. You get more power if you did a Cross-over Side kick and turn your hip and make a back-kick/sidekick.. If your trying to do that combo is better with a right push kick or thrust kick , and left round house kick.. You must of just got your Black belt, it's really shiny..
