And tell me one thing, have you ever seen the title "Golden Retriever attacks and kill baby" in a newspaper or on the TV? NO! Because people aren't interessed to read about that. And scientists found out that in many cases of dog bites, the "victim" called the dog a Pit Bull, though it in reallity weren't. So it maybe that this in reallity was another breed that attacked.
Two of my puppy class client's kids (10 and 7) come to my house with their pup regularly in order for their pup to play with the boys. They LOVE my pit Dex, and he loves them. The first day they met him they both were hugging and loving on him, and he showered them with kisses and love. He's a former bait/fight dog with bad scars, but a good heart. Pits are amazing dogs, and in the right hands...the most loyal and loving dogs around. Awesome movie!

@wtfdoihavetodohere um BAby? well if a pit attaked you it was probably because the dog was abused or was in shock because of dog fights i have a 3 year old niece and a 5 year old pitt and my dog loves her and licks her and protected her when someone broke into our house and my dog grabbed her by her shirt and drug her outside then came back in and helped us with the burgalar and my dog was in over 14 dog fights and was abused by his prevous owner we got him from the shelter and he is the best!
Mehr that's what I think everyone misses. NON-HUMAN AGGRESSIVE! My pit attacks all other dogs just because a drop of dog blood got in her mouth from a dog that attacked her. Had that not happened she would be fine but for some reason now anytime a dog comes near my pits line of sight my dog will try to eat that dog. We just keep her away from all of them.

My neighbors were a great family with a pit bull. The dog was taken care of like it was a member of the family. i knew them for just over 5 years. One day we were outside and the kids were playing in the yard,and the dog decided to maul a 6 year old little girl.She was in the yard with the dog, but not near it.She lost her left eye.
@DanielCO719 Well something was wrong with the dog and they missed it. It happens with any breed. No well-behaved dog of ANY breed attacks all of a sudden for no reason. The dog was either aggravated (unbeknownst to anyone), sick, in pain, felt threatened for some reason, something was up with his brain, etc. Cocker Spaniels, Dalmatians, Labs, etc. also often turn for no APPARENT reason.

Testimony will include people saying "The dog just snapped and went crazy...but he was a good dog." I knew that dog from the day they got him. He was an adorable puppy. Went all that time without so much as a scratch on anyone. But that day in the yard...he just lost it. She is to this day absolutely terrified of dogs.

Warning signs are often confused as something else or are very subtle. People will often think they're playing with the dog but are irritating the dog or making him feel threatened. A dog may be sick but no one can tell. There are so many different possibilities, but none of them are for no reason.
@harikGod yup...i was there when they gave him to the kids. He was a brand new puppy, just a few weeks old. That was why it was so weird that he attacked the little girl. The dog grew up with them. They were all he knew. Then that day he just lost it. I loved that dog too. never had any problems with him myself. The dog had an amazing personality. And don't get me wrong, I'm not against pitbulls at all. I was just sharing my experience and how it changed my outlook on that one breed.

I have to laugh at all the negative responses posted. I train with a specialization in aggression. I own a former bait/fight pit, and I have to say...out of all the dogs I've worked with I feel the safest around pits. I love the breed, and can safely say that they are undeserving of their reputation. The wrong sort of people want these dogs, and give them their bad rap. I love watching people who care for their pits showcasing their true nature. Kudos, and love your video!
I have an american red-nose pitt-bull. He is 5 years old and he is very gentle when it comes to children. I've noticed that he is more gentle around toddlers.

Even more so, dogs that are used to fight are TRAINED to be DOG aggressive, not person aggressive, because they need to be easily handled by humans. @npgiovani gameness is the willingness to take on anything...dog fighters have no clue what they are doing, they breed for the most aggressive, "game" dogs to ensure their dog ends up the winner. Coeffiency of inbreeding percentage runs high among dog fighters, they are known to breed the most aggressive dogs together, whether they be mother and son, etc. they will do anything to ensure their dog ends up the winner.

I have spent everyday of the 23yrs since that happened with a pitbull and will never be without these loyal loving protective guardian angels. I have never had a bite,nip or ever felt anything more than safe! I have 25yrs experience with this breed and know everything there is to know, I would not be so passionate about something I thought would ever ever even maybe would endanger my kids. I would not be alive if not for this breed, when I was 3 and my mother was stil preggers with my sister, a man(a convicted rapist) came in thru a window while we were sleeping,he never made it my mom, Lucy our PITBULL was stabbed 6 times and never stopped fighting, if not for Lucy, my momma never would of woke, had time to get me outta the house and call 911. Police obtained the injured pos and Lucy, despite all help possible died days later from her wounds. She died to save us
I've been around pit bulls for 30 years. Since I was born. I've always had a pitbull. Know how many times I've been bit? ZERO. Know how many times someone has been bit by one of my dogs? ZERO. I have to laugh at all the negative responses posted. I train with a specialization in aggression. I own a former bait/fight pit, and I have to say...out of all the dogs I've worked with I feel the safest around pits. I love the breed, and can safely say that they are undeserving of their reputation. The wrong sort of people want these dogs, and give them their bad rap. I love watching people who care for their pits showcasing their true nature. Kudos, and love your video!

Pit bulls are kind, sweet dogs who only want to be your friend. Even more so, dogs that are used to fight are TRAINED to be DOG aggressive, not person aggressive, because they need to be easily handled by humans. And training, doesn't exactly pass through the gene pool jackass. I say jackass because I loath anyone who thinks that a fighting heritage makes them prone to aggression.

@TheArmydude050290 Many unscrupulous dog fighters are KNOWN for breeding the most aggressive dogs together, to ensure a "winner". Aggression can be inherited in ANY dog breed, not just pitbulls. But I agree that pitbulls are not mean simply because of their breed. It all has to do with how the dog is raised and trained, and how the dog was bred. But I just wanted to point out that aggression can be passed to offspring, just as fear can.

And, to be frank, I've seen back yard dog fight breeders come and go, and I've yet to see a pup that "inherited" the parent's aggression. Now, a higher prey drive is certainly able to be passed on, but, prey drive doesn't directly contribute to aggression.

Coeffiency of inbreeding percentage runs high among dog fighters, they are known to breed the most aggressive dogs together, whether they be mother and son, etc. they will do anything to ensure their dog ends up the winner.

I have spent everyday of the 23yrs since that happened with a pitbull and will never be without these loyal loving protective guardian angels. I have never had a bite,nip or ever felt anything more than safe! I have 25yrs experience with this breed and know everything there is to know, I would not be so passionate about something I thought would ever ever even maybe would endanger my kids. I would not be alive if not for this breed, when I was 3 and my mother was stil preggers with my sister, a man(a convicted rapist) came in thru a window while we were sleeping,he never made it my mom, Lucy our PITBULL was stabbed 6 times and never stopped fighting, if not for Lucy, my momma never would of woke, had time to get me outta the house and call 911. Police obtained the injured pos and Lucy, despite all help possible died days later from her wounds. She died to save us
