Gustavo Dudamel es un talentoso músico que ha conmocionado a mucha gente y por supuesto no todos podrán estar de acuerdo con su estilo de dirección, por eso propongo un experimento doble ciego: enviemosles a varios renombrados críticos varios CDs sin etiquetas con la Obertura Romeo y Julieta dirigida por diversos directores, entre ellos Dudamel, y pidamosles que indiquen cual de ellos corresponde al de Dudamel y que les pareció, tal vez se obtengan resultados sorprendentes.

Romeo and Juliet is a complete failure. By the time the Allegro arrives, the listener is completely comatose along with the conductor. A Tchaikovsky disaster. Completely unforgivable. All of us couch/air conductors could do better... Does the L.A. audience tolerate this erratic behavior with their glorious orchestra? I'm afraid he may not last long in front of a real audience with this kind of erratic behavior. This is a very frustrating CD"

@elcriticon84 So you don't like it. Thanks for sharing. People who disagree with you aren't necessarily less knowledgeable than you. I know we all love our own opinions, but that doesn't make them right for anyone but ourselves. If bad-mouthing L.A. audiences is your idea of criticism of Dudamel you're way off base. Some of you couch conductors are no better than the real-life conductors you so disdain.
