I'm interested to hear what you thought of X-Men First Class Criss? Personally I thought it was the strongest in the franchise so far... Pity about the silly ending, but mostly pretty strong.
did you love astanishing x-men, the joss whedon comic, it rocked so much, the writing was sooo good, and i am a x-men nut, but i love the movies, but i am such a x-men so much, lol and i usually like the cartoons on comics better
Criss i really like your vids and believe you are really cool, but i think you couldnt be more wrong here, i liked the movie cause it gave me exactly what i wanted to see, i wanted o see an action movie, and i cant believe anybody would complain about the dialogues and the storyline ¿are you really telling me that you went to see a movie about a violent man who has knives that comes out of his hands and you were expecting great dialogues and a very interesting storyline?
I mean i heard the same thing from a lot of people but it doesnt make sense, this is like someone saying "i didnt like The Social Network, dont get me wrong it had a great plot and very intersting characters but there wasnt any explosions in it..." it was supossed to be an action movie abou a guy cutting down everything in his path, and it was enterteining, it worked as action movie, it was not a great movie but it wasnt the piece of garbage everyone make it sound it was.
Not recent, but you should check out "Paint Your Wagon" with Clint Eastwood. Or "two Mules for Sister Sara" Clint Eastwood again. If you haven't seen them I loved 'em
Even the sfx sucked. The scene when he was on the motorcycle with the helicopter was terrible. When he did the 180 turn on the bike it looked so awful it was hilarious.
there are some great foreign films out there those are on netflix mongrols (about ghangis khan of course not exactly historically accurate but great) and northface (german film around the time of nazi germany but not about that its about two climbers trying to climb the alps) red cliff and oldboy watch them you wont regret it
even when she says he looks bad, she looks good. seriously one of those girls who could be in solitary cinfinment for half a year and still look like a million bucks.
Wow. You've been very kind. I would have rated it 3/10. A collection of awful cliché. And from the very beginning... He kills his father, then raise his arms to the sky while screaming, with the camera set above. It only got worse then.
What's wrong with X-men? Anyone who unscribes to you for liking x-men is an asshole.
I'm talking comics, action figures, and the 1990's fleer cards. The discussions I use to have with my comic book dealer on the x-men was like talking to a guy who knows everything about weed. Fun times.
The Good, The Bad and the Wierd. Interesting Korean Western.
Thanks for the Wolverine review. I thought the same. Also the 6 feet/2metre tall Hugh Jackman has the wrong height to play the five and a half foot tall Wolverine.
check out the original "Donnie Darko", not the re-made version. I think you guys and gals will find it very complex, thoughtful and the twist at the end is surreal!
What you say at around the 2:00 mark I agree with totally. There's a trend to overpower superheroes in films these days, and Wolverine is hit especially hard. At some point, they stop feeling like they are even about human emotions or issues at all. When all the characters and action are so over the top and cartoonish, there's very little to relate to. When Cyclops chopped in half an entire building with his laser vision, I nearly stopped watching there.
Movie recommendations: you'll love these--->The Commitments, True Romance, The Godfather, Bladerunner, Bullets over Broadway, The Seven Samurai, Lonesome Dove(best western ever), Citizen Kane, The King of Comedy, Maddog and Glory, ...that should keep ya busy.
Just watched the 'Sunshine'-Trailer - and when that guy said 'So when it's a really beautiful day out there - you know we made it'... guess WHO came to mind *roflmao*. No, really. I am.
I agree about the cartoons. I also loved them. The trick is, that what I really liked about them is the human aspect. The idea that it's not that easy being a mutant...
As for the wolverine - it's a nice no-brain action movie - you just shouldn't expect too much of anyting actualy.
movie recommendation.... The man from Earth. One of the best films ever.
My favourite modern Western is 'The Proposition' - a visually stunning film set in the wilds of Australia, with what I believe to be some of the most tense and well written dialogue in cinema history. The acting is superb, it is beautifully quiet at times, with the action acting as punctuation to what is really a very sad song about family and honour, and the cruelty of 'civilising' the wild lands. I think you would love it.
Ah..... I kinda liked the movie...... *what can you do* (still pondering why) I completely understand why you didn't though!! Please don't threat me with more bees xD
movie recommendation: Brick. It's like a film noir set in a modern high school. It's such a good movie. I really hope you watch it; I'd like to hear what you think.
Out of all the movies you named you said Watchmen was ok? Darknight was a great movie but watchmen was amazing!! And the ONLY thing about xmen origins was Hugh Jackman, i cant believe you even gave an ok on the graphics, they were utter crap. I hate the restroom scene his claws were horrible. Play the game, way better story, it was a great.
One of my favorite westerns was "Unforgiven" directed by Clint Eastwood. My favorite movie of all time was a western but I don't think you would consider it a serious western. "Blazing Saddles" Funny movie!
Very interesting to see you doing movie reviews now, Criss. Subscribed immediately. Also interesting that I found a subject in which I don't agree with you entirely XD. I share your feelings about Wolverine... but Watchmen, I would definitively love to hear why you liked it.
Fairly apt review of Wolverine...being an Xmen fan myself I was sorely disappointed. I resigned myself to the movies being a totally different story line, same as the cartoons and Xmen Unlimited. I grew up on the comics and find them to be the best.
About Canada...it may not have been legally a country until 1867, but there were colonists there since the 1600's. A lot of French and English hunters and trappers.
Well, seeing how you're a comic fan and looking for old western style films, check out the 2004 version of The Punisher (not the shitty one that came out recently).
It's probably my favourite Marvel film of all time
@CrissReviews hey now, i like the movie wolverine, and uh i hated the dark knight, i wanted to cry when i saw that movie, i could not wait to get out of the theater when that movie was over, and i love mysterious skin, it is not for kids, it is a really dark and deep drama, not for the main stream crowd...
I'm interested to hear what you thought of X-Men First Class Criss? Personally I thought it was the strongest in the franchise so far... Pity about the silly ending, but mostly pretty strong.
