Criss i really like your vids and believe you are really cool, but i think you couldnt be more wrong here, i liked the movie cause it gave me exactly what i wanted to see, i wanted o see an action movie, and i cant believe anybody would complain about the dialogues and the storyline ¿are you really telling me that you went to see a movie about a violent man who has knives that comes out of his hands and you were expecting great dialogues and a very interesting storyline?

I mean i heard the same thing from a lot of people but it doesnt make sense, this is like someone saying "i didnt like The Social Network, dont get me wrong it had a great plot and very intersting characters but there wasnt any explosions in it..." it was supossed to be an action movie abou a guy cutting down everything in his path, and it was enterteining, it worked as action movie, it was not a great movie but it wasnt the piece of garbage everyone make it sound it was.

Even the sfx sucked. The scene when he was on the motorcycle with the helicopter was terrible. When he did the 180 turn on the bike it looked so awful it was hilarious.

there are some great foreign films out there those are on netflix mongrols (about ghangis khan of course not exactly historically accurate but great) and northface (german film around the time of nazi germany but not about that its about two climbers trying to climb the alps) red cliff and oldboy watch them you wont regret it

check out the original "Donnie Darko", not the re-made version. I think you guys and gals will find it very complex, thoughtful and the twist at the end is surreal!

What you say at around the 2:00 mark I agree with totally. There's a trend to overpower superheroes in films these days, and Wolverine is hit especially hard. At some point, they stop feeling like they are even about human emotions or issues at all. When all the characters and action are so over the top and cartoonish, there's very little to relate to. When Cyclops chopped in half an entire building with his laser vision, I nearly stopped watching there.

I agree about the cartoons. I also loved them. The trick is, that what I really liked about them is the human aspect. The idea that it's not that easy being a mutant...

As for the wolverine - it's a nice no-brain action movie - you just shouldn't expect too much of anyting actualy.

My favourite modern Western is 'The Proposition' - a visually stunning film set in the wilds of Australia, with what I believe to be some of the most tense and well written dialogue in cinema history. The acting is superb, it is beautifully quiet at times, with the action acting as punctuation to what is really a very sad song about family and honour, and the cruelty of 'civilising' the wild lands. I think you would love it.

Oh, and wolverine was awful. Cat. Poo.

One of my favorite westerns was "Unforgiven" directed by Clint Eastwood. My favorite movie of all time was a western but I don't think you would consider it a serious western. "Blazing Saddles" Funny movie!

Fairly apt review of Wolverine...being an Xmen fan myself I was sorely disappointed. I resigned myself to the movies being a totally different story line, same as the cartoons and Xmen Unlimited. I grew up on the comics and find them to be the best.
