Fuck Roll N Roll music?Anyway i dont want to judge your opinion but in case that you dont know New Order as Joy Division were a "Rock N Roll" band...New Order is an awesome band but Rock N Roll music also is great...
One of the best songs of the 80's, period! I listened to this so much I had to buy a replacement cassette twice then finally bought "Substance" on CD so it doesn't happen again (now if only my daughter would give those CDs back)
I can remember this version being played on the radio often, then yrs later Frentel came out w/ it & I was like wth I know that song it sounds familiar lol
@Mresantoss cara certo q nao sou dessa época de dança e tal mas pqp adoro new order depeche mode the cure e por ai vai por q essa mulekada de hj ta tudo perdida!!!
Born in the 80's and regret nothing. Loved Eurovision song contest, Games without frontiers, brazilian soap operas and McGyver. I had it all. One foot on the analogue world, one foot on the digital one.
It would have been awesome to see how Joy Division would have evolved if Ian Curtis didn't kill himself. I wonder if we would have gone in the direction that made New Order mainstream.
you know people need to remeber if any version this song is over 4 minutes long its shep pettibone's remis (although thats almost the official version everyone hears these days)
Amazing, this band have made so many great popsongs and this is perhaps the greatest. The guitarrsound, the lyrics, amazingly brilliant and catchy, but still with a dark, bitter and mature aftertaste.
Ever make it to New Orleans, check out this dive bar a couple of blocks north of Bourbon St called the Gold Mine. Drinks are overpriced, but they play this and similar tracks on the regular...at least before Katrina.
i seem to remember the video for this song consisting of a Nosferatu looking guy chasing a bride and groom around. . . does anyone else remember that or know what video that could be?
I always used to play the 12 inch vinyl of this the second I got out of the shower getting ready to go out, dancing and singing while I got dressed in 86. I also played it many many times in night clubs that year sometimes mixing between two copies to extend it. *sigh* wish I could do a set in a club now
@weirdscience85 This was the 1994 remix of "BLT" for "The Best of New Order". It's a tighter, shorter version intended more for radio play than the original was.
I feel fine and I feel good I'm feeling like I never should Whenever I get this way I just don't know what to say Why can't we be ourselves like we were yesterday I'm not sure what this could mean I don't think you're what you seem I do admit to myself That if I hurt someone else Then I'll never see just what we're meant to be
Happy to say there is Club 1984, Club 321, Clock work Orange, Club addiction and Back to Disco flash back Eighties circuit. There are also small venues that only play eighties in Los Angeles!
@dapithapon it isnt, i remember the part where the lady says " i refuse to reencarnated as a bug or rabbit" then the dude says " you know your a real up person"
@dapithapon you know what im gonna upload the original...im lucky to download it before it was going to be taken off. take a look at my channel when you have the time.
@booradleyhaha your missing out young brother,by the mid '90s there were some night clubs devoted to "eighties" era music for my age generation.By the begining of 2000 years, there were only afew with some young Generation "Y" going. And now in the last 4 years,I really don't know(Night clubs in the county I live in have all closed down by 2006 with no where for under 25 year olds to go except maybe to Holly"Weird").
@booradley haha! You poor bastards!!! First time I heard it when it came out was in a club, 16 years old. Sounded amazing! Been my favourite song ever since.
@onionrovirosa Um~ no, not really. This isn't just some endless trend. The 2000s was total shit. We're in a perpetual extension of the late 90s and it sucks.
@booradleyhaha Yeah I agree. I was born in 1974 and the late 70's and 80's were a great time for music. It was OK in the early 90's but it all went downhill afterwards (with some exceptions along the way).
@booradleyhaha What is impressive that i, that my generation were the 80's, wish for the 70's and the 60's. Albeit that i adore this music. We all want to go a step back. If that doesn't tell us something about the deterioration of the quality of music as the years roll forth, then nothing can....:(
