  • Unfortunately one type of night time wet mess is replaced by another. Gone are the days of wetting the bed, so now I get surprised with the odd wet dream once in a while. I can't win!

  • I have not had an accident in over a year now. Well, in my case they were "almost" accidents that lasted 2 or 3 seconds before I woke up. But still, I had to clean up from them so it is nice to be completely dry from THAT kind of thing.

  • I think that will help people.

    :)

  • one thing that works for a lot of people is to hold it long as you can during the day so your bladder gets used to being full so body wont want to piss during sleep.

  • You are right, the meanness of others makes it ten times as bad. It is bad enough waking up wet and having to clean but for others to find out is so embarrassing and when they make fun and tell others it is so painful.

  • I had that problem till I was between 13-15y/o. I guess I outgrew it. It was embarassing as heck!! To make matters worse, I attended a Catholic boarding school, atarting at age 12y/o........the other kids weren't kindly, lol.

  • nerd

  • lol you watched this shit?... you =

  • i my dream i got to the toilet i wake up strait away then oops

  • I just had that dream last night. I was standing at the toilet and had this tremendously powerful and long pee which felt completely real. I woke up dry, and not even having to go that badly. I was lucky, but I suppose the dream woke me up and I went just in case. But such a dream could have been one of those where I really do leak pee a few seconds, or even burst my whole bladder. There is no logic, only luck, or maybe my body is learning?

  • am not embarrassed about it... I used to piss on the couch until I was 12... I miss that feeling... warm fuzzy feeling...

  • This place should be about giving and getting advice about how to stop wetting the bed. It is a bit insensitive to say that you liked it, which I guess is not quite as bad as making fun of us.

  • oh... my bad... adivce eh? I guess you shouldn't drink too much liquids before sleep and piss before you sleep too... and always remember that people will despise you if the knew, so just try your hardest get rid of this bad habit ASAP... but in the end you're not doing it so people won't despise you, you're doing it so people can't despise you... and if that didn't make any sense, it's because am sleepy

  • Well that is more like it, but bedwetting is not a HABIT. That is like saying nightmares is a habit. It is something unpleasant that happens while sleeping you have no control over.

Not everyone would despise someone for wetting the bed, even though that is our fear. Not sure what you mean about doing it so people can't despise me. Once it happened when I had the house to myself and I do my own laundry, so who was there to know about it to despise me or not?

  • well people will eventually find out if you can't control it. And if they won't despise you, at least they will never look at you the same way...

my mentality is quite different from when am sleepy, but I think I meant that if you control it and put a stop to it, your not allowing anybody to look down upon you, but if you keep doing it, your giving them a way to do so... and the feeling you get when looked down upon seriously sucks

  • I know it sucks but if they find out is your own bad luck. I know I don't want to get caught. So what you are saying about controlling it means you think it is our fault, that we could stop if we wanted to. But at least in my case this is not true or fair. All we can do is choose to wear a diaper during the day or drink less at night, but once asleep we are helpless. I'm not as bad as some who wet nightly. For me it is once every few months, so how can I ever see THAT coming? Not a habit.

  • If nothing else works, diapers help.

  • Diapers help the symptom but not the cause. It just makes cleaning up easier. But if you want to stop wetting in the first place then follow Yarika's advice. In my case an accident happens once every few months, so while a diaper will be a sure embarrassment life-saver when I do wet, it would mean I still have to wear them all the time waiting for that rare accident to happen. Better to waterproof the bed with a plastic cover over the mattress. Your pajamas + sheets will be soaked but not bed.

  • ^_^

  • thanks, helpful video also don't let that astronomer guy get to you, different people have different ideas about some subjects

  • I've tried it all, I'm still wearing diapers nightly

  • it's not really a one night thing. it might take a few weeks for your bladder muscles to develop.

    until then, keep trying.

  • I can't say I am able to practice this tactic so I am wondering how it is working with anyone out there who is trying it.

Something tells me if you try the alarm clock method that will only make you a light sleeper and NOT train your bladder. It is not the weakness of your bladder that makes you wet the bed (unless you wet all the time day and night) but how DEEP you are sleeping. As long as you sleep deep you might wet, and the alarm helps wake you up, but I think your bladder is the same.

  • something tells me your a bone head, or you're just trying to get on my nerves.

  • I am neither. Well I might be dumb and not know it but I know I am not trying to get on your nerves. I'm just trying to make sense of your solution. I respect that you offered your advice to us and am glad that it worked for you, but obviously if your technique was so genius and worked as good as you say it does (without all the questions I think of and post) then it would be a miracle cure, all those medicines and wetness detectors would be a thing of the past and you'd be a millionaire.

  • I think maybe bedwetters are very deep sleepers. So even when they wake up maybe they seem a lot more tired than the rest of us or it takes longer?

  • people are very sleepy when they wake up right before R.E.M sleep. or somewhere in that field.

some people drop so low, they're brains don't function fully.

that's why i mentioned the alarm clock technique cause it keeps you from DEEP SLEEP.

  • Well that would work only if the alarm wakes you up before you go into that stage of deep sleep. If goes off a minute too late, and you are already in deep sleep, that minute is long enough for you to wet your bed and not know it until you wake up. Or have a dream about it and begin to suspect what happened.

But when I made that comment about deep sleep I was answering the question someone had about why you look so sleepy in your video. If your alarm woke you up in time, why are you so sleepy?

  • exactly! that's why i say to adjust the clock(s) to a time when you know you're definitely gonna be out. btw, it's not like the trigger's just gonna pull the second you enter deep sleep; although yes, i admit, it can happen.

and why am i sleepy in the vid? cause i just woke up. and i didn't have the problem at the time so it's nothing to what you first said.

end of discussion, period, Amen, anymore comments about that i will delete.

  • I guess it is worth trying to experiment with different times. But for me I only have an accident a few times a year so unless it gets worse doesn't seem bad enough to do something so drastic. Plus I would worry that if I deny myself that part of sleep it might do things like affect my memory or attention span or development.

Sorry about the sleepy comments. It doesn't matter to me actually that you are in your video. Who cares? I'm just glad you made the video. Thanks!

  • wake up before you film yourself

  • You were brave filming this

  • use protection

  • He already did!

  • can you give me any advice on how to stop wetting the bed?

  • I remember when you had a video like this on your Admick channel. Tips helped me greatly then. :)

  • I hate comments like that. They don't help anyone. They just make you wonder how sad someone must be that to make themselves feel better they have to say things like that, and probably that they themselves also wet the bed and are gay, when that last bit doesn't have anything to do with it!

Sorry, I didn't know if he was making fun of you or me.

  • I was curious to know if you still have been completely dry since you made the video. My problem has almost gone away but because it hardly ever happens it always takes me by surprise when it does. I probably have an accident once every couple months and every time I have no clue. When it is happening it is so similar to a nocturnal emission (wet dream) sensation that I don't know the difference until I wake up. Or maybe because my wet dreams have a peeing sensation... so confusing! Advice?

  • well, i have to admit, i still did have the problem now and then afterwards(not now though). i knew it had to do with the strength of the bladder, so now, its become a habit to stop a few times during peeing. this can over come dreams too sometimes. it makes your mind automatically stop the peeing a little, even when you're asleep , which means you wake up when you're not THAT bad off.

PS: for some reason, (sadly) i don't get wet dreams. LOL

  • And just so you know when you have a wet dream it appears to be a very small accident that would equal in appearance waking up one or two seconds after starting to wet the bed. Maybe since you quit wetting the bed you will start having wet dreams? Mine started when I was 14.

  • what did your mom and dad say

  • You are such a mature young man and so brave to touch on this delicate subject. I'm a grandmother and have recently been having this problem so I found your comments interesting. It truly is a bummer to wake up and discovered you have wet the bed (again). So, any new tips on prevention is a good thing. I'm as proud of you as I would be if you were my own grandson. Keep up the good work.
