  • When talented people suddenly go to shit.

  • I hope he comes to NYC...would love to see him sing and play.....Also it would be nice to see Eric and Alan play together again ...at least a couple of shows and one of course in New York City. Bobbie.

  • cada quien en lo suyo, nunca fue cantante en el grupo ANIMALS, pero se acepta

  • ap got some good fans in the states after o lucky man, but he had fans after he made the album with randy newman songs and hi lilly hi lo and all that. he sold out the great american music hall in 74 or 75 and did a great show. i don't like crowds but might probably go see him if he came back here.

  • is this the Electric Blues Project?

  • Man! Alan is good! I just wish this was done with his organ. I hate that keyboard sound.

  • @diestroduende I was just thinking that, he should have used a B3 or Vox or a normal piano.

  • @RayManzarekGod --Alan is great at the organ --listen to the version he did if this song on organ --in 1966 or so--he played a Hammond X-66--Listen to the BBC files--listen to him on the Vox Continental--He's the reason I took up playing--I was 8 yrs. old --I heard "The House of The Rising Sun" in 1964 --that was it--!!

  • @crazypainter56 House Of The Rising Sun started it all for me! I heard that song, looked it up on Youtube, and then discovered REAL music! I LOVE ALAN! I prefer his work on the Vox, just because I have a 'fetish' for them almost you could say, lol. He's also the reason I took up playing too!

  • Soo good , groovy things hot 60´s very good.

  • omg this vid was from 1998!!!he hadnt aged at all!!!!

  • Woah. In your face Eric Burdon...

  • Eric Burdon has much much better vocals than Alan Price. Alan is good at singing, but he won't ever get as good as Eric.. If you ask me....

  • Alan Price is cool person, and a great Genius!

  • I like alan price too, I once went to Farnworth to see him in a nightclub, in lancashire. hardley anyone in there but me and my dad, alan kept smiling at me because I was in the front row!

    See alanpricefansforum(dot)org(dot )uk for details.

  • @Samsnan3 - I heard he won't get on airplanes. Is that true?

Would like to go to his concert. Love his voice.

  • @GaryNull Hey, it is true, if you look, every Animals show in America had a different organist, but all the other members. I am friends with a personal friend of Eric Burdon and Alan Price, and he said thats why.

  • @RayManzarekGod

I always admired Alan Price.. i remember a very long time ago.. he played with Stan Gets... it seems they never recorded that..

    Regards

    W

  • @Willemientje Hmm.. I will look into it for you!

  • listen.dont talk

  • Well, thanks to YOUTUBE...I now can see the talent displayed by Alan Price post the Animals. Seems like a fabulous performer.

  • I was at a concert this year. It won't be the last. He's the very best singer in the world. And he's not fat...

  • So hear you see how Alan Price sings songs sung by Eric Burdon....

  • cool paul newman is playing guitar

  • he split with the animals as soon as the first real paychecks came in...he was good but dave rowberry is awsome to

  • Great video.

What happen to the Electric Blues Band or whatever it was called? That was a great album.

Does Alan ever come to the U.S. to tour?

  • He's not on tour since years. That's all I know. But Eric Burdon is on tour next...

  • Actually, He is on tour.

Manfred Mann have gone across the country with him.

I saw him in concert in Southport NR. Liverpool.

It was a fantastic night... everybody was on their feet, even though they were all O.A.P's!

  • Shame you can't get back efrem - but keep in touch through the forum as I am sure there will be a review about Alan/Manfreds

  • efrem - Alan is touring with Manfreds again

    October - December 2008.

Check out the tour dates alanpricefansforum(DOT)org(DOT)uk and perhaps you can pop across the pond again :)

  • Oh how I would love to go back. I stayed in Basingstoke that year and if I had the cash I would see them at the Anvil. Having a wife and son and some bills now prevents me from seeing them this fall. Alan and Paul Jones were class acts.

  • Julian

This clip is from Dr Rock Show,TyneTees TV 1998. And Darbyjack - Alan has ALWAYS been a better singer than Eric Burdon!

  • As an American, I had the pleasure to come across the pond in 2000 to see Alan Price with the Manfreds in High Wycombe. What a treat that was.

  • which year was this?

  • Alan is now a better singer than Eric Burdon :o

  • You can't compare them...

  • Don't be ridiculous, of course I can, and I just did. I was comparing voices blah blah.

  • there's something funny going on with his voice in the first song though :-)

  • Great stuff, thanks !

  • Its the first time I have seen this video, goodonyer Samsnan3, I remember the day I Put A Spell On You was released in Aussie, I bolted to the local record shop and bought it.
