  • What song is playing beginning at 3:26 (Blossom and Fresh Prince promo)

  • That second Suave commercial always stays with me, even before seeing it here. What an incredible-looking actress.

  • nostalgia, i love it

  • i recorded the movie the nightman when it aired. i had it till 2007 when i moved, and i had to leave my movies. i wish i still had that movie. if any of you are lucky enough to see it. watch it. it was a fabulouse movie. thanks so much for the upload. it was nice to rember then. thanks again.

  • The nightman 1992 love it.

  • Agh... the days of McDonalds supporting Athletics.

  • I would pay a million dollars for that guy's old Corolla, and then I would destroy it in front of him.

  • I hear the Nightman is defeated by the Dayman.

  • We owned a '92 Dodge Spirit. :D Miss that car. :(

  • Joseph Gordon-Levitt, being a boss at age 11

  • The dad in the Corolla ad is John Doman from The Wire. Oddly enough he looks exactly the same as he did a decade later when the show started.

  • ahh, don lafontaine was the voice of the 90s.

  • Optimus Prime does Murder One Promo!!!!

  • What's that song that sounds like uh huh from the fresh prince blossom promo? Answer only if you REALLY KNOW

  • I'll save enough on my energy bill to "all but pay for the bulbs"? Doesn't that mean I lose money? That's a strange thing to mention in an ad. Or maybe I'm confused. Wait...Suave was/is a men's deodorant? Yeah, definitely confused.

  • lol at 2:50 "in over 1 out of 2 homes"

  • Dang, I haven't heard "By Mennen!" in a decade or more.

  • Joseph Gordon-Levitt looks so cute in the kellogg's pop tarts commercial.

  • thanks for including my local NBC O&O. KNBC use to rock! i watch sometimes, the only show i watch pritty much is minute to win it.

  • Those cars looked nice back then as the ones we see on tv today.

  • the ford tarus wagon reminds me of chevy chase christmas vacation

  • My first car was a 1992 Saturn. It ran very well until I got rid of it in 2004 (though maybe I should have just locked it in a shed).

Granted, I could care less about hairstyling, but to me, the two women in the Suave ad have the exact same-looking hair.

As much as I hate to agree with NBC about the quality of Fresh Prince and Blossom (both of which sucked other than the theme songs), the comedy competition was Evening Shade and Major Dad. Can we just agree that they all sucked?

  • @MeInTX

No, No we can't. We're Americans. We never agree. In the 90's we were just happy about it.

  • on "the powers that be: " what the f-- kind of show was that?

joseph gordon levitt looks so cute!

  • @franzchick66 It was a short-lived sitcom about a US Senator and his eccentric family. Joseph Gordon-Levitt was in it as well (he can be briefly seen holding the teddy bear in the cast shot), playing the precocious son of a pre-Frasier David Hyde Pierce.

  • Analog TV signal, throttle cables, bag vacuums, Dave Thomas.

    Things that worked.

  • Have you driven a Ford lately?

  • @veggievillan No. 1990 was the first year they were sold.

  • Salt n Peppa! ha ha

  • Damn!!! 1:05

  • Environmental talk was all the rage in the early 90s, at least in elementary school classrooms (I turned 9 in '92). :) I remember reading loads of articles on air, water, land pollution, conservation of endangered species, energy conservation, etc. We put on a musical about not polluting the earth around this time. I remember getting endangered species handouts in kindergarten in the late 80s, and it was nothing new then. We've just been stagnant for the last 20+ years. That's all. :(

  • the best part about the 80's & early 90's TV...........NO REALITY SHOWS!!!

  • LOL Suave logo!

  • It's sad that they used to portray gymnastics champions as midgets, they didnt have to mention that Kim Zmeskal was 4'7" and by the time 1992 rolled around she wasn't even that short anymore.

  • If you're under five feet tall...you're short.

  • @suegirl145 ummm, the word 'midget' is not a nice word..

and I'm 4'9 and I'm NOT a dwarf. You have to be diagnosed with dwarfism. Kim is not a dwarf either, she is proportional. You can obviously tell if someone is a dwarf or not. They have distinct features. I heard they have a this thing that says if you are 4'10 and under you are considered a 'midget'. I believe that's bull shit. I mean, I wish I could grow but not because I'm afraid that i'll be considered a 'midget' but because i hate it.

  • JOSEPH GORDON LEVITTTT. hay. poptarts didn't have the icing on it :(

  • it'ssad thing that saturn is going away

  • man i remember friday night videos!!

  • Good thing my Tandy 1000 didn't get a virus

  • @19504x4 yeah my 33 MHz 386 was fine too.

  • That GE ad is just like today's commercials. Everyone's been talking about climate change for about the last 20 years or so but nothing serious has been done to reduce GHG emmisions.

  • HA HA HA!

    Joseph Gordon Levitt.

    (:

  • RIP, Saturn.

  • WTF happened to KFC's skinfree chicken!?!?!?

  • lol Dirt Devil commercial, of course. It wouldn't be the 90's without a Dirt Devil vacume cleaner commercial here and there. xD

  • @Nenie

    lol. That's true.

  • OMG! That's joseph gordon levitt in that pop-tarts commercial!

  • wow, they had energy saving bulbs back then?who knew.

    i still don't use them.they don't last 7 years like they say,people i know have used them.they last 1 or 2.

  • Oh man, I can't stomach any poptart that doesn't have the frosting on it. My favorites are still cinnamon and strawberry. Yum!

  • "The Nightman" looks hot...

  • The "environment" was trendy for a few years in the 90s, and it'll probably pass from favor soon, again.

  • "The Fresh Prince/Blossom Hour": The 90s summed up in just five words!

We had something like the Dirt Devil sweeper, it was fun to use but it didn't pick up a damn thing.

  • no the sweeper didn't pick up shit!!, i remember that.

  • what's up with 1:06!?

  • Yes, you're right, but it wasn't until the 90s where concerns of GHGs became the main cause for concern. What I meant to note by my comment was that I was shocked that GE was talking about less carbon being used, since climate change wasn't thought of as a major concern. Although, they are only using the environment to market their product. Thanks for posting these commercials!

  • *sigh*....I miss sitcoms, damn reality tv......

  • Aww, Saturn back when their heart was in the right place, but styling aside, their cars were awful.

They put an awful lot of emphasis on deodorant ads in the 90's.

I still want one of those Taurus wagons.

I miss the TV days of Fresh Prince and Blossom.

  • The Nightman LOOKS LIKE A STUPID MOVIE

  • Charlie from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia would probably sue the people behind this movie if he had known about it.

  • And I thought Murder One was an ABC show. And as for that Speed Stick commercial..who could ever forget the "By Mennen" jingle.

  • This is off the top of my head, but I think it aired after David Letterman.

  • Wasn't that Peter Cullen doing the Murder One promo?

  • Nah, I think that's Optimus Prime.

    ;)

  • GAWSH, I miss being a kid :(

  • I totally remember the "Have you driven a Ford lately?" jingle, and also the packaging for Pop Tarts. But, If I would've called my mom or dad kiddo, my teeth would've been at school before I made it there lol!

  • lol @ 2:30 "it's been good to my wood"

  • suave sucks.

man its such a terrible product

  • "The Nightman" makes me think of the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia episode.

  • I want to hear about the virus they mentioned in the news promo! Sounds pretty over-exaggerated.

  • I believe it was the Michelangelo virus. Yeah, that was a big deal back then. Have we learned much in 17 years? The furor over Conficker says no.

  • I know EXACTLY what voice you were talking about for that Dirt Devil commercial before it even came on.

The slap in the "Powers that Be" promo was wonderful as well. Didn't see that one coming....
