It's always funny seeing New Jersey people struggle to pump their own gas. I'm from Philly and when ever I get gas in NJ, I get so frustrated that I have to wait for an attendant to do it for me. But hey, it's a lot cheaper in Jersey then in PA. I bet that (what looks like a $70+) bill felt like quite a hit.

Dude I hate pumping my own gas. It scares me to death. I always think I'm gonna drop the nozzle and cause a spark and blow up myself or something. Plus the nozzles are so dirty and smelly. So once a week or so, I plan a day to do my things in the mornings/afternoons so my car is home in the evenings and make my parents pump my gas, or a friend of mine if they're with me. My boyfriend has yelled at me for this too. D:

You're much more adorable at being inept than I am, though. <3 The first time I got gas with my (now ex) bf visiting from Michigan, he thought I should tip the attendant. I told him no, that's their job.

Incidentally, the first time I drove in NJ and had to get gas I didn't understand why every station being strictly full service and had no one to explain to me that it is required. I felt so scared and alone.

One time when i was 16, I was driving home with my mom from the mall and we had to stop to get gas. Somehow I messed it up and it sprayed ALL over me.. my pants were covered. That was embarrassing enough.. but it hit an all time high when on the drive home, the gas started soaking through my pants and I had to take them off because I thought my legs were on fire. Driving home pantsless was really weird. To this day, 10 years later, I am scared to death to pump gas
