The logical contradictions have been exposed in Alex Gheg's video. Just ask 2 simple questions. What is quality? What is convenience? One equation can explain it all. youtube.com/watch?v=2c4mvGekYZY
It just sums up the attitude of the audience that they don't laugh at 'you're probably stupid' but they do at 'people are stupid.. well done him for continuing with such a bad audience..
There is a quick simple solution to global warming and climate change. It is called Muon Catalysed Fusion. As worked on Star Scientific. NO CO2. NO Greenhouse Gases. NO Carbon Tax. NO Toxic Waste. The source is dueterium from the World's Oceans - virtually limitless. It is cheap to produce. WE NEED IT NOW. See the website "Star Scientific Limited", Blog "The Big Picture by Andrew Horvath", Youtube video - "In the Footsteps of Fusion"
@buyoson Independent parties have looked at the HST several times and agree it's revenue neutral. Also, consumption taxes are the most economically efficient form of taxation. Even if it were a tax grab, hospitals, roads, education, infrastructure... they all need to be paid for somehow. Consumption taxes are much better than income taxes to raise money.
@danieliharris Not quite, although if you have deductions for low income persons than I would agree. Of course the other means in which governments can raise revenue which may be even better. Some my favorites are non-renewable natural resource royalties and dividends from state owned enterprises (particularly operating in natural monopolyesque sectors (eg. electricity networks, gas pipelines, water pipes, air and sea ports), capital intensive sectors, systemically risky sectors, etc.)
The funniest part of this anniversary presentation was Yoram's reading of the best comments posted to YouTube in reaction to the original presentation. Tragic that that wasn't included in this video.

The audience isn't dead, its just that the SM58 mic that he is using is only good for picking up anything close to it.

This sucks. Go back to teaching. You had your 15 mins of fame. Move along folks, nothing happening here.

Wow, what a dead audience. Your original one from ten years ago got a much warmer reception for the same material, weird.

@supplican This was at the AEA humor session. The majority of the audience had already seen the routine.
