She isn´t found in Italy. She is with many other mummies in Palermo/Sicily. She is considered the most beautiful mummy in the world and you see her in the catacombs of the Capuchins

Sicily is an island , but it is part of italy! Palermo is the chieftown and Rosalia Lombardo was a child of 2 years old born and died in Palermo. Now her body is situated in palermo in the Chatacombs of Cappuccini

She wasn't "found in Italy". She died when she was two and her family had her embalmed by a man who was able to perfectly preserve her. They then had her placed in the catacombs so they could visit her. You make it sound as though she was exhumed from the sands of Egypt.

@shadoe1975 the monks in the year 1599 put first the dead monks, later rich people or i better should say peers in a crypt. in that crypt is always constantly a cool air ( don´t know the exact temperature). the name of that sight "Le Catacombe dei Cappuccini" . if you want to know more bout that go to

@fuzzyfurfriend220 no they are not recent photos of her they have moved her box to a metal one that is better sealed, so she wont decay as fast but is still at the catacombs and she does look the same except for her skin color it has changed a bit but other than that she's intact.

she wasn't found...when she died her father was heartbroken so he went to Dr. Alfredo Salafia who was an embalmer. She was one of the last corpses to be admitted to the Capuchin catacombs of Palermo in Sicily. The doctor used a combination of formalin to kill bacteria, alcohol to dry the body, glycerin to keep her from overdrying, salicylic acid to kill fungi, and the most important ingredient, zinc salts to give the body rigidity.
