  • I love how stupid all you people seem when you're saying he's not fit for the nba... And now he's averaging 9 assists a game off of the bench.

  • highly overrated

  • is that pau gasol?

  • This kid will be abused in nba

  • @KrowVorhees Sure? now what is you opinion about Rubio?

  • Nice black russian hahahaha,

  • doesnt he kind of look like a girl

  • @thecarrotdude where? i didnt see your dad playing, but yea if you told ur dad to stop wearing a dress and makeup he might start looking like a man xD

  • @peibol6996 i was talkign about every single male person in your family when they are suckign each others cocks. right? isnt that what you do?? while im fuckign your mother? yea thats how you were born. what you didnt know that? also it turns out your father has a vagina. do you know what that means? or is that too difficult for you to understand?

  • @thecarrotdude all i know is i owned you and you wrote back a paragraph to express your hurt feelings LMFAO!!!

  • @SIRHENNY1, At least i can speak 3 languages and been to many different countries..... Culture its called amigo!! Something YOU can be ashamed of, because you dont even understand the meaning. Stop saying bullshit, everyone will end up laughing at you if you keep on with that arrogance and meaningless stuff you write here. Enga amigo acuestate un ratico que ya es tarde y he quedao con tu madre........

  • @TheRainMustFall, You dont have to apologyze, i understand you perfectly well. I have the same problem here in Spain, there are so many narrow minded idiots that you cant forgive them all. It happens all over the world. Glad there is people like you that understand and respect other cultures. It is to appreciate. Best wishes from Spain!!

  • @MrXaxo86 Thanks for the support. Seeing as I'll be visiting Europe for the first time this December I'm trying to do my best to avoid the ethnocentrism typical of my culture. I've been watching FIBA the last few weeks and I continue to be amazed at the competitiveness of Euro and South American teams. Brazil and Spain almost toppled what amounts to an NBA all-star team. Imagine what it would have been like with Pau Gasol playing! Overseas team play is vastly more refined than NBA play.

  • @SIRHENNY1, Im not a Basketball expert, but i have watched a lot of ACB, Euroleague.....and i have friends that are North American and tell me that ACB is a lot more competitive than NCAA, or any other kind of college Basket. So please, before talking shit, learn a little more culture and inform yourself. People like you, ashame your country. And thats from a "Spaniard" (we preffer Spanish) you gringo. Viva España! Go USA!

  • @MrXaxo86 blah there still a whole draft class of point gaurds better then him and im sorry if i corrected him from calling all spanish people from spain european and its funny because your an embarresment to your family and your nation thus notting more then a Perro pequeño adios

  • @SIRHENNY1, What is wrong with you mate?? You should shut up and listen to TheRainMustFall for a while. You know, that kind of pathetic type of patriotism is the image that most of the people of Europe have of you, totally egocentric brats, that cant see any further than there own noses.

  • people need to realize that he's doing this in acb which is a lot more competitive than ncaa.

  • wonder what team he'll play for now that flynn is become a solid starter for the timberwolves

  • que grande era Andrés Montes!

  • theres a black guy on the russian team thats crazy

  • @getDun2012 he plays pro ball in russia. they gave him citizenship for the sole purpose of him playing on the team.

  • 1.10 - 1.26 awesome!

  • imao... what a pass on 1:22

  • Ricky Rubio is like a really good player, but I think he needs to wait and get a little bit older before going into the NBA

  • Rubio is awesome as well as his teamates.Only thing to hold him back would be lack of teamwork in NBA.

  • Whoa, there....you can't call an entire nation of people cowards.

Besides, basketball isn't a sport where u can benefit much from just being bulky/strong. Strong as you may be, you ain't getting to the hole if you don't got the handles.

  • this fucker better start taking steroids or something cuz hes gonna get fucked in the nba ... literally kobe, lebrons, everyones bitch.. cant wait for ron artest to make him cry ... spaniards are cowards..

  • Ricky getting fucked by Kobe and Lebron? You missed the Spain vs. Usa final last year, right?

  • LOL why would ron artest guard a pg? and he played against the best players in the nba in the olympics.. he he stole the ball from bron, dwade, dwill, and cp3.. he'll do just fine.. if artest guarded rubio.. it would take one tap for him to flop(which he will, because he is a smart player) and thats 2 free point for the timberwolves or w/e team trades for him.. i doubt rubio will ever in his life be put on lebron on D and kobe will have no athletism 2-3yrs from now

  • here's a suggestion. when you think ricky rubio, think jason kidd. thats why having really high bball IQ is so important.

  • Dont even try to comapre Rubio to JKidd...

Psh JKidd is a hall of famer.

    Rubio is eh..

  • you are definitely right.

im not saying rubio is as good as kidd, which he isn't. but he has the potential, and his playing style emphasizes a lot of team play, just like kidd's playing philosophy. that sound more acceptable? :)

  • Yup better.

  • I agree. He reminds me of Kidd very much... His style of play, the deffense. Hopefully he'll become a better scorer than Kidd was...

  • I couldn't even tell who was who

  • yeh but he's 18 righrt? still got awhile to improve.

  • I agree he's just 18, but youdon't see that sparkle of a superstar, Kobe, Garnet, Lebron, they all came out of High school to the NBA, based on what they did in high school was easy to translate it to the NBA, I might be wrong, but I truly don't see him being Parker or Steve Nash

  • um watch the olymipic gold medal game last summer and see who started at point with a broken shooting hand then get back to me

  • I watched every olympic game, and I don't think he got the tool or th etalent for the NBA, he will disapear wait and see.

He did not impress me, Minosota wasted their 5th pick they really did.

He looks more like a barber to me than a basketball player

  • whats diffrent between him and chris paul? or steve nash?

    hes clearly better than rondo

  • With stats like that he should've been number 1. Tim Legler must have been eating Ricky Rubio Chowder leading up to the draft.

  • Hay va Hay va Hay va Hay va!!!!!!!!!!!!! Que Bonitoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • not impressive

  • I think Rubio is going to New York.

  • i give him 3 years

  • ruuuuudy

  • Give him 5 yrs, he'll be good!

  • Can't wait to see this dude run some fast breaks in the NBA. People calling him soft are crazy, he's been playing with grown men since he was a little kid.

  • little kid? try little baby

  • you guys think steve nash is that much of an athlete? this guy will keep you up off your sits. incredible passing abilities, great arms to steal balls, the guy is hyperactive. shooting is not his strength but nor was lebron`s and now he does pretty well.

Ricky rubio is the next steve nash.

  • 1:13-1:15 Steve Nash pass right there

  • we don't know if this Kid will be put in the NBA maybe he will be weak there just like Kwame Brown beast in high school weak in the NBA.

  • ...This kid actually bypassed high school completely and went straight to the pros at age 14.

There's a chance he'll be a bust since the international game is a different game, but I think he'll at least do a hell lot better than Kwame at least.

  • check nbadotcom he is on the first page he is gonna be the youngest guy in 09 draft. Clippers and Kings are watching him closely right now, but ya he is a very good defensive player, and very good passer but has a hell of a lot of turnovers

  • Clippers have their eye on Griffin. Memphis or Sacramento is looking in to get him. both teams need a good point guard,

  • Rubio was already pro in 2005, which at that time he was 15. his team ever since was DKV Joventum which he won the FIBA Eurocup in his debut year.

  • Ok, but Ricky is not playing in HS, he is playin against pros and veterans since he is 16, and in a high competition like Euroleague and spanish league.

  • man this dude will be a star in the nba! Kings draft this kid! lol!

  • I am a Spanish fan and you missed my point. My point was that the rivals were strong enough contrary to what some people here said.

  • este tio es demasiao...

  • steve nash much???

  • manu ginoboli ?

  • hell no.

  • washington will love you kid.

  • Remember that Russia are the European champions!

  • This is not your dad's basketball world. The rest of the planet has caught up to us in BBall (just check out the past Olympics / Worlds). This kid is the real deal. 18 and life you know it. See you in the NBA kid!

  • cant wait to see him in a few against rose,cp3,and jennings

  • you missed him shit on cp3 in the olymics?

  • jennings for the moment sucks

  • que bueno es riickyy!

    soss un crack !!!

  • Ricky Rubio is the real deal. love his game. Hope the Warriors get him next year. Go Dubs.

  • Nelson would ruin Rubio's career in a second.

  • Nelson? The same smart Nelson who allows an open three when his team is up by 3 with 5 secs. to play?. If everything goes right, Rubio has the potential, talent and basketball IQ to develop in a better talent than Jameer.

  • First of all, Jameer was injured and out of sync.

Second, he's talking about Don Nelson, Coach of the Golden State Warriors. lol

Ricky will be a hell of a player, though.

  • Ok my mistake, well, Jameer was injuried and I know, but come on, he could have played better defense. Then I didnt know he was talking about Don.

  • Well, the first three Fisher hit, he defended well, at least, as well as you could without coming in contact with him. The second where he doubled Kobe was idiotic.

Either way, I'm sure you don't care in the least bit. ;)

  • well, I do care a bit hehe, I wanted lakers to win because of Pau Gasol, and i was happy that Fisher hit those shots, but man, the first defense was bad and a great mistake, the comentator went crazy because he couldnt believe that Nelson was waiting for Fisher beyond the line!! He said sth like: what Nelson thinks is fisher going to do?? 3 down and 10 secs?? And Van Gundy stated: we were defending that play like we had to prevent a lay up! If u are a Magic fan, I advice to keep Turkoglu ;)

  • If Turk asks for 10 million or more, he's a goner, no doubt. I hope we can keep him too, but free agency is full of surprises.

Personally, I despise Pau Gasol despite being Spanish myself. He's a terrific player, but he could do without the flopping and complaining.

  • Hmm...let me issue an apology to the European users watching this video. I am an American basketball enthusiast who knows this kid is amazing. He is MUCH BETTER THAN ANY CURRENT AMERICAN COLLEGE PROSPECT. I'm sorry but its true. Please, my stupid fellow americans, stop downplaying him because hes euro.

  • Is good to read it. Anyway, those EuroHaters or those visionaries who say Rubio is going to be nothin, are the least. Most of the american good fans are able to see that he really has the potential and talent to become a good PG in the NBA. Regards from

  • @TheRainMustFall TO BAD HE CNT HANDLE THE NBA AND NO1 HATES ON HIM CUZ HE IS EURO AND SECOND IN SPAIN HE WOULDN'T REFERED TO AS EUROPEAN 3RD WOULD HE BE ABLE TO GAURD DERRICK ROSE OR RAJON RONDO OR DERON WILLAIMS OR CHRIS PAUL TO NAME A FEW SO BEFORE YOU WANNA SAY ALL THAT GET YOUR FACTS RITE ABOUT BEING A BETTER PROSPECT THEN ANY ONE ESLE HE IS DRAFT BUST

  • @SIRHENNY1 I refuse to get my facts 'rite' to someone who cant spell or use proper punctuation.I Doubt your brain would allow you to properly analyze basketball. I sincerely hope you have mad personal game, because its clear you aren't going anywhere academically.

  • @TheRainMustFall SO I JUST RECOMMEND YOU TO KISS MY ASS AND YEA GO FUCK YOUR SELF

  • @TheRainMustFall but ummm i actual play the sport and your a computer geek who takes the time and try's to correct me on what i comment on youtube those letting me know you sit there with google spell check. futher more just an visionarie with no more then jus what an high school degree compared to my masters and clearly you have issues and you get mad at what i say like an emotionly scrared lil bitch THE END thats if you know what that means

  • @SIRHENNY1 You are correct. I am a computer geek, I guess (2 years out from graduation, GO BLUE!!). I also coach youth basketball. Google spell check doesn't insert periods, commas, or turn off caps lock.. Good luck with your basketball career man, if it doesn't pan out you'll make an excellent comedian.

  • @TheRainMustFall haha, john wall, evan turner, derrick favours, demarcus cousins, and basically the whole of the first round draft class is better than him, he just does the same behind the back move, and if he did that in the NBA he'd get owned...

  • @Dunkmaster3333 John Wall I might give you, but the rest...I dont know. Not Turner, who stunk up the summer league. Maybe if Cousins stays healthy we'll see. You make some valid points.

  • @TheRainMustFall cousins and favours are definitely better than rubio

  • wooo... all shity moves, only the last part was good..

  • washington will get him

  • i hate this commentator too and i from spain, every one hate this stupid commentator, its really anoying!

  • ricky rubio - a boy wonder

  • i want the blazers to draft him so bad

  • THE REAL PROS???hahaha, I remember this kid with 17years playing in a final like starter against players like Chris Paul, Deron Williams,Jason Kidd,LebronJames,KobeBryant,Dwight Howard,Chris Bosh,Carlos Boozer,CarmeloAnthony, etc. Those are real pros, arent??? And Rubio played better than all pointguards of USA(allstars)...you never saw play Rubio, so shut up. This kid is already better than a lot of point guards in the NBA.

  • I hate to say this but, ricky rubio is way better than brandon jennings at this point. ricky rubio plays overseas and so does brandon, and ricky is lighting that shit up, brandon better hit da gym if he wants to go #1 in da draft

  • RICKY nº1 DRAFT 2009 i'm sure. is all velocity! is spectacular!

  • es impresionante m'encanta este chico, es mi jugador preferido de la acb entre otros.

    bonito video

  • I think that Ricky wasnt in draft 09....

  • Sign him up.

  • I as amazed when I saw Ricky Rubio strip Dwyane Wade

  • if you are interested, missjerseyz-2008 is selling his dkv and esp jersey on ebay.

  • phenomenal

  • Next Steve Nash

  • Why? Just because he's white? He's actually a much more dynamic play maker than Nash. He's got a lot of the same "run the offense" skills but he can drive to the hole and finish, he has great post skills, and just tremendous overall athleticism. He's not your stereotypical white point guard. Willis Reed would be a more accurate comparison but, I think, Rubio has much greater upside.

Don't get me wrong, Nash is phenomenal but I think people make the comparison for all the wrong reasons.

  • Nash can't drive and finish?

  • Of course he can. From what I've seen he doesn't do it as often or with the dynamism as Rubio though. The point isn't that Nash is overrated (he's not). The point is that Rubio is a unique player with a unique skill set. Its wrong to pigeonhole him because of his race.

  • hahaha...millions of guys can jump and run in the nba but their hoop i.q is as small as their nuts...nba is no longer a league that caters to the shades...of course i dont expect you to understand it down there..

  • He is the truth. I just got his jersey off ebay, its super nice. the seller is missjerseyz2008 can't wait to throw a alleyoop to some one wearing it.

  • i'm sure ricky rubio will be the no. 1 pick in the NBA rookie draft '09..

  • OMG! He is already an amazing player but still has a lot to improve. If he keeps on with this evolution he might become an All Star in 5 years or even less

  • maybe a good player in his age; but will get crushed if he plays in NBA

  • omg hes so good

  • Que gran base joder, que bueno es robando balones. Será de los grandes en unos años!

  • all i know this kid is going to be the next pau gasol for spain watch out nba

  • this giy can ball and hes only 17

  • yo tambien tengo 17 y la verdad es q orgullosa q estoy de q un xabal demuestre lo que vale y juegue con tios que le sacan varios años y aun asi logra ser mejor que ellos.

  • after the olympic games, more and more people pay a tention to this boy and like his performance.he is the miracle

  • este chico tiene solamente 17 años...como yo, ...me impresiona

  • Think he will be great because he is 17 and getting significant minutes on the second best team in the world

  • sorry, they are the world champions currently so u better say the first

  • sorry, maybe you should refresh this comment, because the USA won the olympics.

  • that doesnt change anything

spain is the current world champion

  • Spain has an amazing speed of improvement.

  • Not impressed, see it everyday on the street. It's kind of like trying to prove that freddy adu can play in the EPL...no, but he's fun to watch sometimes.

  • los jugadores de la calle no valen para jugar al baloncesto "real" :/

  • Your comment made me laugh, seriously. Street players get lost while playing real games. That's a fact. They don't know how to play in a real team.

This 17 years old kid is playing in the second best team of the world, and he played against USA better than his teammates, who are in the NBA. He's really something. And he's a good kid too. He's not cocky or selfish, and when he plays, he doesn't look for his own glory. He's always doing the best for his team. Those are really good qualities.

  • not the second but the first

  • lmao.. no you dont see a 17 year old kid playing in the best leauge in the world outside of the NBA.. leading his team to championships.. going to the olympics playing a lot minutes and leading his team as the point guard to a silver medal.. lmao.. no, i can guarentee you dont see that in the street everyday.. stupid ass comment

  • Yeah the street competition vs the worlds best..... you do realise that the redeem team players are a little more complete than the stiff defence you come across in the 'streets'. He's not a charity case, this kid is going to be something special!

  • no offense milib0y. but read what jason kidd said about the kid's D. he does D up and he does it very well. he doesn't have a jumper yet but it'll come.

  • i hope he come to the lakers

only negative bout him is he seems lazy and doesnt defend

  • WAT? RUBIO IS A GOOD DEFENSIVE PLAYER!

  • What the hell? lol He's not lazy at all, he's always moving. Sometimes I don't really know how he do it, he's always everywhere to help his teammates or to steal the ball. He's always running around taking his opportunities.

  • watch?v=1UEOZGFzPas

  • he didnt look so great against the USA team and neither did the rest of his team....all they did was get their asses handed to them USA gold 2008

  • spain got annihalated... but you gotta give rubio this, he outplayed navaro and calderon, 2 nba players as a 17 year old against the best

  • your right he did out play the other guys on his team who are in the nba

  • if i do torse twist machine will i get abs

  • good for you get some abs fatty

  • im askinn if i do torse twist machine will i get abs

  • i dont know buy one and find out then you can tell me

  • the reason why he can run up and down the floor was because of poor defense =)

  • Chachi needs a better haircut though.

  • he is good for his age...next steve nash!

  • watch?v=1UEOZGFzPas

  • he's not going to be able to run like that against the US squad.

  • What is this? I don't see nothin but a kid running the floor and putting in layups. No jumpers, no post up, no splitting the defense etc etc.

  • you just dam jealous man

  • 2006 Under-16 European Championships against Russia:

51 points, 24 rebounds, 12 assists, seven steals

He's clearly a class above his age group

  • overrated!

  • If he doesn't get picked in the top 3 of the 2010 NBA draft then something is wrong with the league. This is my 2nd video I have watched of Ricky Rubio and I am convinced that we are looking at a Hall of Fame prospect with NBA Finals leadership ability!

  • Impessive for his age and level of competition. NBA is a different world.

  • What was the final score on this game? and when was this game?

  • Spain 91 Russia 56, in July 2008 in Spain . But not is the better game of Ricky this July with the spanish team

  • pincha cabron

  • que tema quieres que pinche? uno de hardcore?

  • best young player in europe.

  • sports writers are just setting this guy up to fail lol

  • agree.

and i dont think he can dribble well, doesnt move like a point guard. too skinny.

  • i think he'll prove you wrong real soon. he's oneheckuva point guard for his age.

  • That steal into the back pass was fantastic! Too bad the guy had to miss an easy layup.

  • believe me that wasnt easy. He was drifting off because he thought ricky was gna score it but he wasnt expecting the pass.

  • LebRon is not a basketball player. He is just a Globertrotter! He just knows jumping and dunking

  • No. This little skinny guy throwing behind the back passes is the GLOBETROTTER.

LeBron James is a Karl Malone like 6-8 260 pounds, but with the skills of a Magic Johnson, and can score any time he wants..
