  • この曲神!!

  • this is amazing, the nostalgia is just kicking ass!!!!!

  • I remember killing Karl the wolf pup on this theme... é.è

  • I knew it! Fkammie is in Children of Mana and SD3! Awesome!

  • This is called Meridian Dance. Only new to the sequal.

  • This music is just fit RAIDEN-type shooter games.(ex:Flying Shark,Twin Cobra,Lightning Fighters,etc...)

  • sounds like meridian dance from secret of mana ^^

  • Is that the theme of when Kevin battles the brainwashed Karl?

  • 1 person missed the like button -__-

  • @TehSephirothSpirit 2 peoples didn't play the best game those Japanese people has keeping for themselves è_é

  • @Luirio Mother 3? What does that have to do with Mana?

  • @CronoManiac42 Best game in Mana Series è_é

  • *Lise returns to Rolante Castle*

    *Ninjas come out of hiding*

    Let's dance, motherfuckers.

  • @speyeker *Kevin runs up*

Me too, Lise! Let's show them bad meanies our power!

  • Can anyone tell me where I can go to listen to the sand fortress theme it seems to be the only music not posted.

  • (continued) of being obsessively committed to quality, when really, it was just economic factors that dictated releases. For example, the N64 delays had less to do with engineering, and more to do with the Dollar crashing vs. the Yen in 1995 (which made the PlayStation release painful, and practically killed Sega). If they were going to keep their $250 price point, and not get soaked, they were going to have to wait until the currency market turned around, which it did.

    Nintendo is all business

  • WHAT!?!?! Japan got Secret of Mana 2 (Seiken Densatsu 3) while we got Secret of Evermore!?!?!?

It was soooo worth it lol Evermore > Seiken Densatsu Series xD lol hahaha

  • @dork0holic yes and no, Ever more is a GREAT game but it's not as LONG and just repayable as the SD3 (and yes I have a JP Cartridge which still works after all this time q.Q' )

  • GIANT ENEMY CRAB!!!

  • a shame we english speakers never got the game officially. it would have sold like hot cakes, but nintendo of america was too busy QQing about this and other games.

  • @GidionX mostly Mario RPG, Secret of Evermore and the fact that SNES was almost at the end of its lifespan were a combining result that we didnt get this game. The transition to N64 was pretty hairy and messy because alot of games got the can for NA release. Look at Star Fox 2! It was completely finished and Miyamoto said no I want an N64 version...asshole

  • @neogalahad No, more like "cartridges are really expensive to manufacture, especially with high-powered chips like the Super FX2 in each one, so if we've got a system that's just around the corner that can handle much better than this on the base hardware, and we can manufacture the cartridges for much cheaper there, what's the point of shelling out so much on production costs?" The Miyamoto's perfectionism was simply a nice cover story that helped push Nintendo's company line (continued)

  • @tmrobertson The game was finished....why not publish it. He still wasted A SHIT LOAD of money on development costs. The main coder said in a blog that it was due to Miyamoto wanting the game on N64 instead.

  • @neogalahad with a weak dollar and strong yen, and the Super FX2 costing as much as it did (Yoshi's Island was nearly $70 when it came out originally), Nintendo simply wasn't going to make as much money as it would want to off the game. Japan was in the middle of its depression, and already had started upgrading to the new consoles (Saturn and PSX), so there was the idea that people weren't going to spend that kind of money on a game for an old system that wasn't an RPG. (continued)

  • @neogalahad The game would have probably costed somewhere around $75-80 to make a decent profit in the US, and no game was going to sell at that price point, especially since the original Star Fox didn't obliterate the market.

Miyamoto may have not wanted to release the next Star Fox until the N64, but Yamauchi would have overruled him if he thought there was money to be made. He didn't, and it was canceled that late.

  • @tmrobertson All speculation. Were you a financial analyst for Nintendo in 1995? Then all that you are saying is BS. Look it up man its clearly stated that he just wanted to take advantage of the N64 superior power. You dont know what you are talking about, the money to publish is NO WHERE near the costs for development. Miyamoto is an ass. ALSO the system was not just around the corner. The N64 didnt even come out for another year and half after the game was completed!

  • i actually wished i had snes when i was younger and before all - had this game in the collection, i tried this game like 3 years ago by random choice but wow! i was astounded, the game was totally awesome, and this soundtrack totally stuck itself in my mind, perfect boss theme that makes battles even more intense! specially like part @0:49, seriously this shit is so old-school but the music struck me like meteor, cred to the creator

  • @Synaesthethic It would not have mattered because the game was never released in NA. The version you played is a fan translation that was not released until 2000, 5 years after the game was released. I remember when it was released too, my Dad's pc was a piece of shit and couldnt handle the emulator! LOL

  • i miss this game. it was my childhood.

  • BEST game with the BEST EPIC soundtracks!

  • This is SO EPIC....This game will forever be in my memory.

  • THE ULTIMATE UNDERATION!!!!1

  • This boss song is awesome! bah nostalgia... and yes those do sound like some martial arts punches in the background LOL

  • I love this song, despite it sounding like there's some chinese action movie punches going on in the background. XD

  • @Grayfox354 Sounds like something I could Tai Bo to xD

  • this is one boss theme that has stuck to be since i was 12

doesnt say much though as im 17 now

  • Damn you know what? I want to hear someone cover the bass part of this song because it is sick!

  • @melvoin What?! This music is way more fleshed out and feels more appropriate to the Seiken world

  • This is EPIC BATTLE

  • well the first game started as a final fantasy spin-off,.. so basically the seiken densetsu series are loosely part of the final fantasy series.

  • You just hear it and in the glimpse of a second you know:

"Yup! It's a fabulous ''- of Mana'' Game"

  • @Justforvisit Except of course it's not an "of Mana" game -- it's a Seiken Densetsu game.

  • @Uejji Actually, the Mana series and the Seiken Densetsu series are both the same series.....Seiken Densetsu is just the japanese name, and this game was japan only. The rest you should be able to figure out yourself.... :3

  • @legoperson595 You're missing the point entirely. That's like saying that Star Fox Command is the "Lylat Wars" game series, or that Seiken Densetsu 3 is part of the Final Fantasy game series, or that the 2010 Eclipse is part of the Eagle Talon line.

If *every* Seiken Densetsu game had been localized under an "of Mana" title then I could accept that, but that's simply not the case -- the first and third games were not.

You might say I'm being picky, but I prefer "minimizing confusion" :>

  • @Uejji What the hell are you talking about? So according to your validation of what makes a series, then before we got the localizations of the actual Final Fantasy II, III and V we cant call Final Fantasy II(Snes) and Final Fantasy III(Snes) a part of the Final Fantasy series because they were given different names from their J counterpart? btw, we did get the first Seiken Densetsu on Gameboy called Final Fantasy Adventure and also a GBA remake called Sword 'of Mana' or Shinyaku Seiken Densetsu

  • @Uejji How are you minimizing confusion by saying two games are not of the same series because one was localized and the other wasn't? The way I see it, you're making it more confusing...

  • @vaiyt That's not what I'm saying at all. I'm saying all the games are part of the Seiken Densetsu series, because calling it the Mana series runs into problems with games that were localized under non-"Mana" names or not localized at all.

  • Boss theme? More like Awesome theme!

  • To make it easier for everyone, that thing in the picture is Flammie, Flammie appears in both Secret of mana 1 and 2 (or Seiken Densetsu 2 and 3) You lot must be mistaking Flammie for Dangaard, the winged god beast, in secret of mana 2 (Seiken Densetsu 3) you fight Dangaard while riding flammie

  • And another Mana Beast named Flammie is in Seiken 3. The characters decided to call it Flammie when she got mad over the name "Father of the Winged Ones" since she is a child and a girl. At least in the fan translation.

I don't know exactly how this goes in the original since my Japanese skills aren't that good. I've played the game in Japanese, though.

  • That's not flammie, that's a mana beast. Flammie is just the name of one particular mana beast featured in Seiken Densetsu 2 (secret of mana)

  • Well, that means you haven't played Seiken Densetsu 3 (Secret of Mana 2) because SHE is Flammie. Not a mana Beast in this game.

  • Played through it 6 times from start to finish using every character backstory.

Maybe you had a poorly translated version, there are half a dozen out there.

  • I think you are the one with the poorly translated version... Will you tell me everyone has the same "bad" version?

I used Google and that's flammie! XD

  • I'm not using a translated version at all, I use the authentic japanese version. Hence why you have it all jumbled up.

  • Then, why don't just you tell us what's its name? At least is female?

  • one of my fav music of this game

  • when you first listen 1:15...

    you just whaaaaoooooouuuu!!!!

    2nd game of my life...

  • I love this theme. :3

P.S.: What is that thing next to the girl?

  • If I recall right, that is a Flammie, which is able to be seen on Secret Of Mana (Seiken Densetsu 2).

  • flammie

  • Une musique de boss aux dimensions épiques pour un jeu qui ne l'est pas moins. La première découverte du soft est un délice, affronter les boss ne l'est pas moins. Vraiment excellente dans son rôle cette musique nous fait aller vers la victoire.

  • This was fucking awesome boss music

  • this was one of the last masterpiece jrpgs imo. there were some greats afterward but nothing from ps1, p2s, etc can step up to the snes rpg classics like chrono, mana, and ff 4 - 6...

  • What? Vagrant story is on PS1. Its a fucking masterpiece. the single most underrated game barely anybody knows about on any console.

  • yes it is. The battle system has a high learning curve but is very rewarding. Its poor sales were mainly due to the fact that it was year ahead of anything available. Lovely game. I wish square would remake it for the ps3...

  • Dieses Spiel ist echt genial, habs scho zig mal durch und immer noch Lust drauf ^^ und die Musik hör ich zum trainiern *g*

  • Jah jah, ich wohle. Bitte, weiter, weiter!!*Spritzen*

  • was zur hölle xD

  • I believe i just came =)

  • I'm so happy I found this song, it's one of my favorites in this game!

  • I've bought the original OST of the game on play-asia. As soon as I receive it, I'll upload more songs and maybe all of them :)

  • Merridian dance seems awfully similar to this song. Though I prefer this one because I can actually get to that point in SoM2. Seiken Densetsu 3. BTW, Angel's fear does play in SoM2 when you talk to the priest about mana stones. That is the first time it is brought up. So No Angel's fear is not played after the village gets burned up.

  • This song sampled heavily from Meridian Dance, which is why it sounds so familiar. I think it may even be a remix, but don't quote me on that part.

  • LOL, this music is awesome! 0:51 to 1:15 feels like some kind of party music

  • Yes. I love that part. I always get excited when I hear the beginning while playing the game.

  • Love it!

  • its awesome, both songs

  • this track is similar to the Mana Beast battle music from Secret of Mana.

  • @uberfart256 Yea I just heard it and it sounds like the composer based it off of that song rearranged it because it hits alot of the same notes. Its like the Mana beast song was a beta version of this song because this song is way more fleshed out and inspiring.

  • @neogalahad the sagas are together, In Japan Secret of Mana is Seiken Densetsu 2 :D

  • @GersonPZ Final Fantasy Legends I-III are saga games and Final Fantasy Adventure is a remake/demake of Seiken Densetsu 1. I already know that Seiken Densetsu 2 is Secret of Mana. I was trying to figure out why he thinks that the Seiken games are a completely different series from the Mana series. The Mana series IS the Seiken series. Maybe he was trying to say that the Seiken series is not entirely the Mana series because of the FF Adventure...whatever.

  • @neogalahad Final Fantasy Adventure IS Senken Densetsu 1. Sword of Mana is the remake.

  • @CrazyLou64 I know that, I forgot that seiken densetsu was supposed to be for famicom but was scrapped for a GB game instead called seiken densetsu: final fantasy gaiden. And yes Sword of mana is a gba remake of this said game developed by brownie something.

  • @uberfart256 know but this track is extremely than number 1

  • thanks for posting this up.^^nice game artwork too.

  • Thak you so much dude, but I'm sure angel's fear wasn't. I played it on a translates rom from japanesse to english, so... would it be possible that there is any other songs in the japanesse verion?

  • That I wouldn't know.

  • All I know is Intolerance plays AFTER you meet the fairie and go back to the town to discover it was burned by Beastmen and some slow sad/myterious song plays BEFORE you officially meet the fairie....

  • This game has very good songs, but i can't find the song of the scene where u find the fairy for he 1st time and the u go back to the city and everythig is burned to ashes. It's a sad song, and the BEST. Can somebody tell me what's its name pls??

  • Pretty sure it's Angel's Fear

  • es la mejor cancion del secret of mana 3

  • Remake of "Meridian dance", from Seiken Desetsu 2...

    Very good.^^

  • I totally can't understand why people doesn't much listen to such a great music like this....

  • Sounds a bit like Meridian Dance from Secret of Mana.

  • The kingdom that never fell...

I had great feelings with this game

  • I still like Seiken Densetsu 2's OST better but this is good as well. Hiroki Kikuta is one of the best composers SQUARE had and better than the ones they have even now in 2008.

  • Duh on that. Dream Team walks all over any team they working for Sony today.

  • uber!

  • Remember first time i heard this song when fighting Karl (As Kevin) that was freakin epic, First time --> Epic Battle system starts with a emotional fight against your friend and the most epic piece of music ever.

Fight vs Karl --> Best fight in the game.

  • @Cameraman2 Best fight in the game? That shit made me cry.

  • damn epic!!

  • pure awesomness!

  • Megageile zeiten echt!

  • Einfach cool ich find das Lied Hamma

    : )
