Sweet video. Nice camera work and audio. Virgin & Quantas have the coolest liveries in the word. This aircraft has been, is, and shall be the Queen Of The Sky. The A380 is the King Of The Sky. The ol' girl has class and the sexiest lines. The A380 is just big.
Aeroplanes are my most favourite machine ever invented. Sometimes when I go on holiday I look forward to the Plane the most. My dream is to become a Commercial Pilot and work for Virgin Atlantic :)
I Don't Know Why I Love Aeroplanes So Much I Think It Is Becuase Of How Big They Are And I Just Love Just Noise Of The Engines And When They Land & Take Off!
airplanes of this size are quite wasteful in some ways. we coudl build much smaller airplanes designed for a small family which could still cross the atlantic or significant distance. every human being can fly an aircraft with training. it's not that hard. just build large public landing zones. smaller planes would use less space. everybody should be able to be a pilot without overly expensive training fees. we should be self sufficient
@markisalegend people like you are sad as you have to resort to insults on the internet as you are too cowardly to say it to peoples face in public so you hind behind a computer screen
boeing is more than capable of producing a supersonic aircraft in terms of there technology as they develop space equipment and other military hardware but it is the funding and financial restrictions which have always prevented them from bringing them into service. IF you think boeing could not produce a supersonic commercial airplane now you would be gullible as they produce all sorts of military and space hardware. its funding thats the problem
The 747 is better than the A380 I know how to fly both i've flown both the 747 feels more like a plane and less like a computer the same is true with all boeing and airbus aircraft
@titanic95594 I do agree with you. Although the Airbus A380 is bigger than the Boeing 747 which TECHNICALLY makes it the real King of the Skies, the 747 is still OFFICIALLY the King of the Skies. But I'm still afraid the Boeing 747 might one day, not be the official King of the Skies anymore.
BREAKING FOX NEWS- Pakistan gonna be next Yugoslavia very soon, and Capital Islamabad ( Islam-bad) will be worst than Bagdad. After USA, Indian Drones are ready to smash garbage muslim country Pakistan (Pig-stan). Mark my words
brits are now switching to airbus- another american tax payer based aircraft company - Euro socialism is now the new norm- and the Airbus is just that -a -bus .
I love the 747, something about it, although not the biggest, fastest, sexiest aircraft around, theres something about that seems right. The airbus a380, although i have never been in one, seems vulgar, and excessive.
all ask you this one question poeple why is it the boing planes that always crash and burn and kill hundreds of poeple. watch mayday if u want to know what i mean.
@artthefarter Air France A330 that went down over the atlantic... the concorde disaster... BAC 1 11 for british airways that had its windows blow out A 380 engine problems what in the world happend to the a350 by the way........ oh and ive never seen aboeing plane go down from an birdstrike... yahhhh see and anyways most accidents are pilot error not mechinacal issues.
@terks43 In Nov 2008, a Ryanair 737 suffered a birdstrike immediately prior to landing at Rome. Swift action by the pilot averted what could have been a disaster but the aircraft suffered significant damage to the engines as a result. Boeing's planes are equally suscepible to damage in such circumstances.
@terks43 In September 1988, a Boeing 737 aircraft that took off from Bahir Dar collided with a flock of pigeons. Twenty-eight pigeons were sucked into the two engines, sixteen in the left engine and twelve in the right. Both engines were dead and the pilots were trying to return to the airport. Tragically, they could not make it. The B737 aircraft crashed on a farm near the airport, killing 35 people and injuring seriously 27. The BAC 1 11's window blew out as a result of poor maintenance.
@Marcin6313 The flaps are actually used on takeoff too. They help elongate the curvature of the wing thus creating more lift making the take off distance shorter.
@Marcin6313 the flaps are only put down the first two stages as it creates a considerable amount of extra lift with a minor drag resistance. They are only put the whole way down on landing as you want to slow the aircraft down bleeding as much speed off as possible without stalling the wing.
it would be great to convert one of these into a mobile rv home. you could tour the world in one of these and live in it and carry you're vehicle in it if it was a cargo ramp conversion. I've not actually heard of rv aircraft used as mobiel homes. that would be great. i think its the future. if you're rich enough you could do it.
This is the most amazing airline video i have ever seen,if Virgin used this in a commercial,it would light the counrty up,just like the 1980s Frankie Goes To Hollywood video. No music, just Virgin takin off and pride in rhe Great Britain flag!

@mrtoby1010 Im thirteen to. First thing, forget about the episodes you have watched. I flew a cessna 152 when I was twelve. At first I was terrified (it was a light aircraft and worse, it was in the UK and you know what the weather is like there) then when the pilot told me it was time for me to take over, I suddenly felt so much better. Its cause I was having fun. Flying is fun so when you fly, forget about fear and enjoy yourself. Also the laws of physics
@imafreakinsubscriber the flying the plane? No, it was flight school. I had a qualified pilot onboard so as long as a pilot is there anybody of any age can fly. Trust me its fun. When your 14 you can start flight training for your ppl and at 16 you can get your solo. I recommend going for a trail flight its real fun
@imafreakinsubscriber sorry, taking off and landing is legal at any age. The pilot might let you do it. Yesturday I was doing it and he let me fly the approach and he said I was so good so he let me land the plane :). So yes you can do flying lessons at any age, I really reccomend it. Also it not that expensive
it really is a wonderful piece of technology considering its been flying commercially since 1970 and it held the passenger capacity for a good 30 odd years i think anyway good post
@Checka157 It's not a piece of plastic, it's a wind vortex or a mini-tornado. It's like water being sucked down the drain creating a whirlpool. Air is being sucked into the engine so fast its created a vortex.
Thumbs up if you are a Gold member in flying club!!

Look at 1:58 the engine there suck´s something, it look´s like a piece of plastic.

@Checka157 It's not a piece of plastic, it's a wind vortex or a mini-tornado. It's like water being sucked down the drain creating a whirlpool. Air is being sucked into the engine so fast its created a vortex.
