  • Man, everyone is just in the pocket! I wish the song were about 30 minutes long. Alison Brown is driving the piss out of this song! Thanks for posting.

  • So why does it say alison krass??

  • this aint union station

  • @MrBanjoman32 It was at the time of this performance.

  • @MrBanjoman32

This is union station when they played bluegrass. Mash!

  • holy shit!@# can you say MASH???? SON!

  • very good job

  • This is a good job J. E. Mainer used to do this,

  • wow this is the real thing, deep rythem. Tim Stafford is one of my heros. Alison looks cute as a button on the fiddle..

  • what a great old video...shows the hard knocks

and RAW. How did you get this?? AWESOME!

  • I got this by sitting in the 100 degree heat with a camcorder! ha ha...it was worth it though.

  • Wow, I had no idea Alison Brown was once in Union Station.

  • Wow. Wondering if the soundman has big numbers on each mic to tell him which channel is which?

Better safe than sorry I guess. Pass the dutchie...

  • Yeah a lot of sound compaines do that so the soundman will know which mic or line is in each channel so he don't have to fool around if he has to make an adjustment.

  • Great song. Too bad Tim recorded this later with Jim Mills instead of Union Station. This is probably AKUS' best lineup for true driving bluegrass.

  • Very good music. Tim is the man.

  • Who's the kid on the banjo?

  • Allison Brown

  • Thanks!

  • Cool stuff!

Tim Stafford's tone on the guitar rocks!

  • I'm a big Blue Highway fan. Tim's work with them is great. His solo CD is superb. I also like his voice. He has a hint of a blues sound in his voice that adds some heart to the songs. He is also a really, really nice guy.

  • Adam Steffey is the man on that mandolin. He uses those hammer-on pulloffs alot and every note is as clear as a bell

  • That must be Alison Brown on banjo. A real pile driver!

  • Yep. That's Alison Brown. She can really drive that thing!

  • No way, Alison plays the fiddle (violin/viola). She really came out looking beautiful a few years later, and with the sweetest voice ever.

  • You're thinking about Alison KRAUSS. Alison BROWN is the one playing the banjo.

  • A lot of people don't realize that Alison Krauss actually won a national title on the fiddle.

  • better than the stuff she's doing now

  • Got that right. She can still sing like an angel though.

  • They still crank out some pretty good stuff. Each one of their albums includes an original bluegrass jam. They've won awards on a couple of them. My faves are Choctaw Hayride, Cluck Ol' Hen, and Liza Jane.

  • not exactly original songs....cluck ol' hen for one has been around for years. Stanley use to do it....not sure about choctaw hayride. There is virtually a thousand different liza jane songs...

  • Choctaw Hayride is a song written by the great jerry douglas. Since he was a member of Union station when new favorite was released...I'd say it was an original song

  • Thank you so very much for sharing this with us. Also , love her jeans!

  • oh ty eva so much I love her if an angel has a voice i know it hasta sound like ALISON'S
