  • Brill - met him at the 12 bar club Denmark Street. He said superglue was good for hardening the nails - but you had to let it dry first!

  • @MJenner SHITTT

    I've been there, awesome place.

    so jealous..

  • Saw him play with Rick Wakeman at Wavendon the other year and it was awesome... Two brilliant musicians together...

  • A fine example of why this man is one of the best composer's and guitarists in the world today!

  • Fellow guitarists, if ,like me, you have learned to play this great track or trying to learn, don't get frustrated if you can't play it just like Gordon plays it , fact is you never ever will, trust me, just settle for your own interpretation.as Gordon would say, " if it sounds right, it is right".

  • Heard him play at Skegness this weekend, absolutely amazing, he played this, and many others, you could have heard a pin drop whilst he was playing the audience were so quiet, and in awe of this brilliant man. He was in the crowd over the weekend, wandering around meeting people. Thanks Gordon for a brilliant set. X

  • My 1st comment didn't seem to go through, so here I come again :

He's got so many unique styles of playing and I

love the chords he uses. And I love how he truly enjoys playing -- you can see it all over his face.

  • I agree completely. You can really see how much passion people have for the music when they play in their facial expression. And I think the acoustic guitar is such an amazing, versatile instrument for bringing out so many emotions in a song

  • He's got so many techniques ! I really love his work - and I love how he loves his playing - you can see it all over his face ... lovely

  • If anybody knows where I can get the tab for this or can give me any pointers at all i'd be very grateful cheers people. KP1st

  • if you like this kind of style tommy emmanuel plays kind of like this. more jazz/blues orientated though. His song "mombasa" is amazing though

  • One of the best exponents of acousic guitar playing worthy of all the plaudits he receives and a very big thank you for posting this excellent rendition of this most joyous piece of music

  • Gordon has a guitar maestros dvd coming out in Feb 07, it features two versions of Heartsong and approx 15 other performances

  • Hey guys if you like this you should hear the full version on the album Perilous journey(with accompanyment)

  • this is the piece that introduced me to Gordon absolutlelllllly superb

  • Giltrap is one of a handful of the last remaining true geniuses of modern acoustic guitar playing.

  • A Class guitarist Great to hear the track and see the man

  • Thank you Geoff for posting that and for taking the trouble to notify me in person.

Now that's what I call good service!!

What an awesome piece of virtuosity from Mr G.

What amazes me is that it actually sounds like more than one instrument, even though we can see for ourselves that it's just Gordon and his geetar!! :)

  • Fantastic Stuff from the great man ! It's such a cracking rumbustious romp of a piece , I've been learning to play this weeks now, I've more or less got it nailed now but I still can't get it to sound like he does!(I'd give my right arm to be able to play it like him!)

  • This man is a genius, please could you send me the tabs and chords if possible. What a song!

  • see, you dont need the stupid metal sreddin to sound amazin, Giltrap is better than any metal guitarist ever!!

  • couldn`t agree more, played a little guitar, and in my opinion, its much much harder to make an acoustic sound this good. the shredders are ten a penny and don`t they all sound the same? i heard richie blackmore interview and he said the man he admires most is gordon giltrap, i rest my case.
