You are right. Every religion has extremists that do horrible things in the name of religion (ex. christians in the crusades) That does not mean the religion is bad. It is great when people speak against the crazies, who by the way are NOT the majority of muslims. I'm not a Sufi. But Im disgusted with the opinions that some Muslims have about Sufi. For God's sake, Sufism isn't a deviation of religion; it's just something which is allowed in-between Muslims. The motto of Sufis is to avoid too much pleasure just in case it causes them negligence from the worshipping of Allah. I think he brings really good points that also take into account social plagues. I've heard him speak at my mosque and he really takes into account what many sheikhs/imams tend to miss out. Key point: Christianity was spread by persecution until it got big enough & broken into fractions that it attacked itself or others. Christianity began with thought that Genesis 5 genealogy's meaning from Adam to Noah was fulfilled by Jesus.

In 1066 A.D. over 4,000 Jews were slaughtered in one day and the Jewish vizier of the city was crucified that same day. With rule like that the only Christianity that could rise to freedom was Catholic faith which can be ruthless and unChristian to be sure at times.

You are right. Every religion has extremists that do horrible things in the name of religion (ex. christians in the crusades) That does not mean the religion is bad. It is great when people speak against the crazies, who by the way are NOT the majority of muslims. Islam has wonderful points in its religion, as does many religions, like christianity, hinuisms, buddhism, jainism etc... This world would be so much better if people were not so quick to judge and accepted, loved, didnt hate.

The Beslan Massacre was BECAUSE OFISLAM. The killing of those children was justified, for those killers read the Quran 47:4-Therefore, when you meet the unbelievers smite their necks, then, when you have killed many of them, tie the bond-As for those who are killed in the Way of Allah, he will not let their works to go astray. Remember the Quran is the EXACT WORD OF GOD, the Beslan killers were just following God's orders. Muslims must accept their crimes against humanity & face the truth!

Quran 47:4 If you encounter (in war) those who disbelieve, you may strike the necks. you forgt the war part. and anyway you are not learned in the meaining of the quranic verses so dont quote them. Oh, yes, Hamza Yusuf. Everything that's good comes from Islam and everything bad comes from the West, and that's why, time after time, we see Muslims carrying out abhorrent acts.
I suppose the mass slaughter of the Banu Quraydha didn't really happen. I suppose that the subjugation of non-Muslims in Islamic countries is all due to a unanimous misunderstanding of the Religion of Truth and its book, which claims to be 'mubeen.'

I'm not a Sufi. But Im disgusted with the opinions that some Muslims have about Sufi. For God's sake, Sufism isn't a deviation of religion; it's just something which is allowed in-between Muslims. The motto of Sufis is to avoid too much pleasure just in case it causes them negligence from the worshipping of Allah. If there's anything that Sufis do that goes against Islam, blame those few Sufis. Don't blame them all.

Sufism is a fraud and a misguidance and the Prophet nor the Sahaba have anything to do with Islam. Mohammad did not teach us to be Sufis. He taught us to be followers of himself in every action he does. He nevver said that we should be Sufis. The Prophet was not a Sufi, the Sahaba were not Sufis so sttop foolinng people that Sufism has something to do with Islam, it does not. Sufis are deviant from what the Prophet taught, so educate yourself before speaking rubbish.

I think he brings really good points that also take into account social plagues. I've heard him speak at my mosque and he really takes into account what many sheikhs/imams tend to miss out. Well-educated guy. Makes the connection between religion and the world around us. That's what I love about religion. It has an application to every aspect of life, but it is you who has to take that aspect into account.

First thing he starts of the speech is by saying about what so called muslim extremists did as if he knew exactly that muslims did it, have can he not have any benefit of doubt for his muslim brothers. Instead of making the audience aware of suffering and atrocities suffered by muslims he goes on with some philosophical stuff.

Let me get this straight. It all boils down to this...one who believes in Allah may or may not go to Hell, but eventually will get out because of his/her belief in Allah regardless if he/she committed sins. But, the ones who don't believe in Allah will go to Hell, but NEVER will get out of Hell. Is this right?

In last three centuries France, Spain, UK, Portugal, and Italy were occupying most Islamic countries from Africa to middle Asia. The those European countries drew their own occupying borders which caused the present day conflicts.
They also controlled the seas so that they secure their slave trade and expensive metals trades. Likewise these days USA and UK are occupying Iraq to control the oil. Israel also exist in the part were the Islamic world can't unite again.
