OMG!!!! i went there for the first time this past summer with my family and LOVED IT SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!! its such a rush and so much fun!!!!!!!! AHHH!!!! ♥
@roskido123 Using this video as a reference, I'd recommend riding the slide like this: get in feet first at 0:53; at 1:01 you can stand up and dive face first if you're feeling brave; stand up and get out at 1:09; walk down to about 1:16 and ride feet first the rest of the way down. From 1:01 to 1:10 is pretty smooth on the backside and rather mellow right now.
@roskido123 Just got back from Ohiopyle today. The water level isn't as high. Lots of kids were riding in it. Just keep your fingers out of any cracks so that they don't get twisted up. The top section is the smoothest, followed by a rougher part (which you may just want to skip) and then a decent bottom section. There are a few good pools at the bottom of the "slide," as well as in the river and cucumber falls. Just don't get too far out in the river if you don.t want to swim hard. Cheers!
I used to ride this when I was a teen in the 70's and it's one of my happiest memories! I would be there daily if I could be, but I live in California now. Yeah we used to come home with torn shorts and bruises and cuts and my Mom would ask us what the he'll we were doing, but we never felt the pain while it was happening and we had huge smiles on our faces, so we didn't care. I never saw anyone get seriously hurt, but I'm sure it's happened. Really--one of the most awesome experiences of m
How come no one is using anything to float on here? NO Boogie Boards? Any Standup paddle board sections? Are toobs allowed here or is it all a free for all w/o lifeguards? Looks fun, i wanna try !
@waltstafari No lifeguards but I know a guy who broke a finger on it...And my group had some pretty nice road rash. Fun though. I just wouldn't recommend anything that limits your control, or anything face first. But it's all up to you go for it!
Was just here on Sunday. Such fun! The water level was no where close to this but we had a great time. My kids (7,12) loved it as did I. There's one bumpy patch but you can skip it. A great family day and there were a lot here. Fun for folks from 5 and up. There are no life guards present. The rocks are slippery. There are pools of water where you can sit as well as rocks to lay out on. Great fun!
i just got back from there i was not aloutd to do that my dad said i was not old enough so me and my brother swam under there walking brindged down the road

I have been to a place that had a run like this. It is rough on the back side but fun.

Love this thing, but the second half really screwed up my lower back.
No regrets.
