That was awesome! Johnny Rabb grooves great there! A very buoyant and lively feel. I'm still enjoying my drumbals! I leave the 10 inch drumbal on my secondary snare :-)

I don't see why people should complain about his freehand rolls. It is a technique, not a stick trick or some other showboating skill. Nobody ever asked Jojo Mayer to stop doing the Moeller.

Why must he do something else? He's doing what he does best, and that's a really unique style of drumming, groovy as well. Two thumbs up for Johnny!

It doesn't have to be someone's style in particular. Just a more broad sound with aspects from different genres forexample.

@BoaZosen I agree. I love johnny rabb, but all ive ever heard from him has been fast one handed fills (which are cool) and cymbal chokes.

As much as I love Johnny Rabb it just seems like he's evolving very slowly. Still very cool grooving though :)

@MetalCamelChannel True, but he just seems so locked in the same playstyle. I know he knows other styles, so why not put it out there instead of always playing the same stuff?

@BoaZosen Because he's probably asked to play like he always does. That's what they pay him for I guess. I like his drum 'n bass playing as well though.
