@NukeCss actually, you can. 3 monitors with a specific setup gives 5760x1080 resolution. If you are using one monitor, he can see 3 times the real estate without panning. I'll spare the insults because you know what wall you walked into....do your own research before making yourself look like a/an _________

@csphilli2 Old comment, but this is really just a half-truth. Only with certain games, such as Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, do you actually get an enhanced view with 3 monitors. With CS:S, you get the exact same view stretched.

Also, this video only shows that EyeFinity on 3 18" monitors is a waste. 1 tv in the middle, and 2 portrait monitors (one on each side) proportionate to the tv is the way to go in my opinion.

good gimic, but 2 blind spots, not good if you play in leagues

not really... you still have the same field of view that you have playing with a single monitor setup on the center screen. Adding the two to side monitors extends your field of view for peripheral vision, not stretch out what you normally see. If you get killed by someone behind the blind spot it wouldn't make a difference if you use 1 or 3 screens. It would be off the screen using 1 screen, so you wouldn't see them either way. This applies for standard ratio monitors and widescreen monitors.

@d1st0rt I thought of what puremage said [before reading it] and answered it the way you did [before reading it lol], then came to a third conclusion that you would learn to rely on these two other monitors and could be lulled into a false sense of security, not having seen anyone there though they have sneaked into the blind spot.. then i shrugged it off knowing that the chance of that happening is very slim. in the end, nice setup.

@puremage000 Nah, there are no blind spots. Objects that fall where the two monitors meet are displayed on both sides of the "blind spot" area and therefore give a stretched effect. That's the only downside.

i am getting 3x 22" but i am not sure that my gtx 280 will handel 3840x1024 in crysis :( meybe i should get 3x 260 in 3 way pls tell me what u think

Crysis is the only game that bogs down at this resolution... I can run it on medium with AA/AF off in 3840x1024 at about 40-50 fps, and at lower resolutions my 2 4850's has out performed the 280. But when you get to higher resolutions my system bogs down where as the 280 doesn't. If you want to play very high, you're going to need SLI with some pretty powerful cards. I would try 2 x 280

For dual monitor you're gonna need to set your desktop to stretch mode so it becomes one giant monitor. Then when you're in-game you'll be able to set the game resolution 2560x1024 or whatever resolution you're running at.
