  • He's a lefty!

  • Great actor from the south

  • I miss the skit where mentioned his childhood...playing cowboys and indians, and that 'guess who always got to be the Indian?"

  • @LaNellAshleyBarrette i thought he said he was the cook.

  • this guy's awesome! :D "lets see what i did today... i made a lung" XD LOL

  • The town he's talking about is the one I live in. *facepalm*

  • WOW!!!!

He released a stand-up CD/DVD in 06 that had every joke but the Political Ones.

  • "I'll put water on that soap." rofl

  • And I thought my Filipino grandpa was the only asian redneck. Lol

  • @Microglia1 It's called a Southern accent, bud. Go tell a German he has a Nazi accent and see how well it goes over. Then come back and thank me for treating you with such gracious Southern hospitality ;-)

  • Search "Twister by Taradawndaniel" on here. It's some tornado chasers in his wife's hometown.

  • pretty funny forsure.. definitely needs to do a comedy special on comedy central or hbo or something

  • "i cant write that"...genius

  • best part is at 3:10 lol

  • That's a good bit I don't care who ya are

  • Henry Cho is the man! Seeing classy person with a KKK accent is very rare.

  • @Microglia1 KKK accent?

  • @obxluver92 Means deep south. Most KKK members are from the general area Henry is from.

  • This a brilliant piece of comedy...Thankyou Henry for your skill and craft in making us laugh :D

  • @cansmacb, I also think he's brilliant because he doesn't resort to anger or profanity to make people laugh, but rather draws on real-life experiences for humor.

  • Holy shit, an Asian guy with a Southern accent. I feel my Indian-American Texas-raised stereotypin' mind blowin' up.

  • I love that his families a goldmine!! It's the best way to write.

  • asian redneck

  • @FullBloodedHmoob i love this guy. his clean humor and his ethnic background along with his American ways reminds me of me lol

    The people who disliked this:

    Bill Clinton

    Hillary* Clinton

    His wife

    His brother

    Someone from* Alabama

Someone who just misclicked* (misclicked is one word genius) and really wanted to thumbs up

therrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre ya go buddy. you're welcome.

  • i love this guy cause Being a strong Christian, Cho never swears in his acts and keeps them very clean. Cho is significant because he has experienced some mainstream success by playing to white audiences without any self-deprecating Asian jokes or Asian impressions. He also has turned down numerous movie roles because he refuses to speak in broken English, showing that you can stick to your principles and still have a flourishing career.

    xx

  • @jenforyou, I agree. He's even funnier because he talks about real stuff, and doesn't have to resort to being angry or swearing to be funny.

  • @jenforyou Amen!

  • @jenforyou THTS freaking awesome! :D <3

  • @reymatt76 Actually, he's an American. Try again.

  • @reymatt76, re: "chink". You are correct. He's a "gook". Margaret Cho had that in her stand up. "I was walking down the street when someone said, 'hey! Watch it, chink!'. I said, I'm not a chink! I'm a gook! Get it right!".

    Hahaha

  • I think this guy's "edge" over other comedians is that he doesn't get X-rated with his material, at least that I have heard. It doesn't fit him. He's very polite and respectful. It may not earn him the fame that other more controversial comedians have achieved, but it also doesn't make him the subject of ridicule or scorn. Henry Cho appeals to everyone, and by doing that, I think he improves the lives of others that follow in his footsteps. I wonder what he thinks of Margaret Cho & vice versa?

  • I had to stop the video near the end because I had to catch my breath from laughing too much

  • Funny guy. Just plain funny.

  • cool Asian "redneck"

  • koeran with southern accent

  • he good. he's not overly funny. just right

  • I love the Tennessee accent! He's from Knoxville ;)

  • yep the guy on blitz

  • That guy is really good!

  • I love him he rocks.

  • he's great!!

  • This guy is awesome. I listened to him first and when I found out he was Asian I just had to SEE him. Love it... white trash [style] jokes coming from him just adds so much to the comedy.

  • I admired Henry Cho's life after I had read his story on Joshua Piven's book... Long Live Henry Cho!

  • ./alright no more people

  • accent & ethnicity win.

  • holy shit! a southern asian! somewhere in the universe a black hole just created itself in juncture.

  • @charlescontarini

    I reckon so.

  • gotta love us asians from the south.

    TN/SC/AL represent! :D <3

  • This Guy Fucking Rules Man, Reprezentin Tennesee!!

  • So funny and cool Tennessee accent too.

  • i think hes even funnier cuz hes asian with a southern accent

  • He married a woman from Alabama, so it makes sense for him to make alot of southern jokes. If Bill Engvall had a distant Asian cousin, it'd probably be Henry Cho.

  • Gonna see him in SF in a couple weeks. Super excited!

  • This dude is so fucking funny!

  • omg you're an idiot get off of youtube if you dont like it

  • you're 46? you need to grow up and stop being a hater.

  • @LittleDeeDee A chink is a Chinese person. This person is Korean. Try again.

  • Enjoyed your show last night at the Comedy Catch! LOVE the blinking eyes trying not to remember your baby's birth, and the whole little set about babies being born.

  • top bloke

  • LOL, It's the accent, trust me. This guy doesn't look retarded at all and I wouldn't want to insult him that way, lol.

This guy's funny to me because living my whole life in Alabama I've met a LOT of Asian people born here or somewhere in the south that sound almost identical... even if their parents immigrated! Their accent may not be quite as thick but it's there, lol. It's contagious. The weird thing is I've lived here my entire life and EVERYONE thinks I'm a yankee when I speak, go figure.

  • Great work! I love you man! This is funny!

  • is it me or does his chin and the way he talks reminds you of G.W. Bush?

  • "Alright, no more people. =|" XDDD

  • love his accent

  • Yeah, I especially like how his humor doesn't involve self-depreciating race jokes.

  • @DriveByLawsuit That's because he's creative enough. Only the moronic comedians resort to self-deprecation, stereotypes, and race hatred.

  • are you kidding me the racist comedians are the funniest its just that people are so up tight that they dont think they should laugh or think its not right. Who cares if its right or not its funny. Im not racist myself i hate people of every race

  • @mattdalb57 I understand you were trying to be funny by saying, "I'm not racist..." but self-deprecation, stereotypes, and racism do not make the best comedians simply because it's too easy. The real comedians are witty, clever, creative, and intelligent with their jokes.

  • @mattdalb57 They are not funny because it gets old. Same jokes over again.

  • came lookin' for the "bless his heart" wish it were here...... love the work :)

  • Hilarious

  • bill clinton=first lady lol

  • Zanies Nashville presents: Get 4 $5 tix to HENRY CHO on 7/16 & 19, 2009. Call 615- 269-0221 and mention youtube.

    Share the <3 & repost!

  • he needs to be on more stuff...he's very watchable..

  • LOL - "What'd you say?" *furiously writing*

    "Hey man, whatcha doin'?"

    "Workin'."

  • the people laughing in the back sounds cute, lmao!!!!

    henry is great!

  • that's called the audience lol

  • Go Henry!

  • I'm from Arab, Alabama and just to let Mr. Cho know....we have TWO Italian Restaurants now ;)

  • @RatedR14 yeah, but the first one, Grumpys, is WAY better...and hasn't burnt down yet.

  • @RatedR14 That's I-Talian. ;-)

  • does anyone remember when he was on 'designing women'? suzanne and julia were lost in tokyo and met him.....

  • Actually, they met him on the flight on the way over. And Suzanne was being her usual obnoxious, ignorant self and figured he didn't understand English well. Then Henry starts to speak -- and I think he exaggerated his Southern accent for the role. So, of course, the juxtaposition of his genetics and his speech pattern is thought-provoking (at first), then you get over it and realize that the man is just plain funny.

  • thanks it's been a long time, so i figured i had some of the details wrong.

  • @tranurse YES!

  • thank you henry for coming to omaha to entertain for a great cause.

  • ur awesome henry! my dads super religious n luvs dat ur stand up is clean.

  • What did you DO all day???

    Well, let's see....today, I made a LUNG

    BWAH!!!!!!

  • I'm from Arab, Alabama!! Its seriously the only Italian place we have...

  • hahaha

  • Well, I was born and raised in Etowah County, Al. and have relatives in Arab....so, I know what you mean...LOL..

The first time I saw this guy, I fell out of my chair laughing....to hear that wonderful Southern Drawl come out of someone that doesn't "look the part" was the funniest thing that I have ever heard in my life. He is GREAT !!

  • So is Arab as small a town as it sounds?

  • lol today i made a lung... hahahahaha
