For whom is asking themselves about the similarities of the Spanish and Arabian music, be informed that Spain was Islamic territory for about four centuries.
Para quem estiver se perguntando sobre as semelhanças entre a música espanhola e árabe, a Espanha foi, durante 400 anos, território mouro islâmico. ;)
egypt, arabic, spanish, are just the same but dfrnt religion and a lil bit tradition acording to the hstory u guys seperated by the religion and trust...so...ya....dont be such idiot huh...learn hstory will make u feel better alrite dont fight be cool
Beautiful music - too bad people use this arena as a place to vent, complain, fight and generally just make fools of themselves by spreading hatred and prejudice.
hey u hunterofspaniards why dont you ever mention of the contributions the romans gave to spain, latin , the roman alphabet, goverment, rainnesance, the segovia roman aqueduct, and so many other things, what the falcata? lol, the romans always fought with the short doble edge roman sword, and legions. spain is just a offshoot of other peoples who entered invaded and conquered it . native peole of spain before the pheonitians were just a bunch of cavemen ,the spanish invent nothing
oh MY GOD THE ROMANS COPIED THE SO-CALLED FALKATA OF THE SPANISH OH MY GOD HAHAHAHA FUCK YOU, SHOUL;D I SAY SPAIN ACQUIRED THE ROMAN,S LANGUAGE LATIN WHICH ORIGINATED IN ITALYA AND BECAME LINGUA FRANCA OF THE PENINSULA AS VULGAR LATIN? SYSTEM OF GOVERMENT FROM THE ROMANS, THE RENNAISSANCE IN THE 1300,S FROM ITALY, ITALY CELEBRATED THE FIRST CHRISTMASS IN 1366, SPAIN ALSO ADOPTED THE ROMAN ALPHABET,MANY OTHER THINGS FROM ITALY,LOL, WHAT HAS SPAIN GIVEN TO ITALY ? THE FALCATA? LOL FUCK U
@murggik Idiot, the Romans imposed their language on all the peoples they conquered, not just in Iberia. And Spain is the only place in all Europe where a pre-Indo-European language (Basque) managed to resist and survive Romanization.
Idiot, the whole thing about Italy being the birthplace of the supposed "Rennaissance" is obsolote historiography. Plus more than half of Italy was under Spanish control during Spain's Golden Age.
@HunterOfDuIlards HOW IMPORTANT WAS THE SPANISH SWORD TO THE ROMANS ? JUST AS IMPORTANT AS THE GERMAN MAUSER RIFLE WAS TO THE SPANISH IN THE LATE 1800S LOL.
It is very probable that the revolutionary change was made in the type of sword employed, by the introduction of the so-called Spanish sword, which led the Romans TO THE MASTERY OF THE CIVILIZED WORLD. Suidas, following a lost portion of Polybius, Book XXIX, says that the CELTIBERIANS excelled other nations in the manufacture of swords;... the Romans... abandoned their national sword for the Spanish type. - Howard Hayes Scullard, "Scipio Africanus in the second Punic war", pp. 94-95
@murggik And retard, the Spanish sword is hardly Spain's only contribution to Roman history. Spain gave Rome some of its greatest emperors (Hadrian, Trajan, Theodosius), writers (Seneca the Elder and Seneca the Younger), and the fact that Spain was one of the most prized areas of the Roman empire already should have given you a clue that what you babble is pure ignorant resentful nonsense, clown.
@HunterOfDuIlards HOW IMPORTANT WAS THE FALCATA TO THE ROMANS? JUST AS IMPORTAN AS LATIN THE LANGUAGE OF THE ROMANS WAS TO THE PEOPLE OF SPAIN , JUST AS IMPORTANT AS THE LATIN GUITAR INTRODUCED TO SPAIN BY THE ROMANS, THE ROMAN AQUEDUCT OF SEGOVIA , THE ROMAN ALPHABET TO THE PEOPLE OF SPAIN, THAT'S HOW IMPORTANT IT WAS, THE ROMANS TRADED IT LATIN, THE ALPHABET , SYSTEM OF GOVERMENT, ROMAN ARCHITECHTURE AND MANY OTHER THINGS TO SPAIN IN EXCHANGED FOR A FALCATA SWORD ,ALL SPAIN COULD GIVE
Btw, I had argued with Hunter on early civilization in Spain. I stated that civilization started in what is now Mexico before it started in Spain (still believe that), and that the ancient tribes in Spain didn't have writing until contact or influence from Greeks/Phoenicians.
So no, Spaniards aren't superior, and in fact, Hunter never claimed that either. I did learn much more about Spain after reading and exploring many of the sources he's cited, so I do respect his comments on YT.
the so called falkata a short single edge sword used by the mixed people of spain was never adopted by the romans, the romans always fought with their own weapons ,shields, catapults, cavalry and legion formations
@murg The Falcatta influenced the Romans' wraponry. The Romans directly adopted some of the native Spaniards' cavalry formations, namely, the circulus Cantabricus and impetus Cantabricus (from the Cantabrian tribe). The Cantabrians were pre-Carthaginian. Again, Carthaginians, Greeks, etc were just minorities in Spain.
I'm not saying Spaniards are gods or whatever, but I will defend that part of my heritage from lies (I'm not full Spaniard)
Ok, Spaniards are "mixed". So according to u, who isn't?
"A similar weapon, the falcata, was employed by the Iberians, who are credited with developing the gladius hispanicus from which the Romans reportedly modeled their sword."
ht tp: / / ww w .thearma .org/essays/thrusting_vs_cutting .ht ml
"The weapon that eventually conquered most of the then known world, evolved from the Gladius Hispanicus - Spanish sword, Classic Roman Gladius."
@HunterOfDuIlards IF YOU COMPARE SPAIN WITH ITALY, SPAIN HAS GIVEN NOTHING OF ITS OWN TO EUROPEA OR THE REST OF THE WORLD THAT IS NATIVE OF ITS FIRST INHABITANTS, CASTLES FIRST APPEARED IN ENGLAND AROUND 1066,NOT IN SPAIN , SPAIN ONLY COPIES IMITATES NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES,ITALY HAS GIVEN EUROPE WHAT SPAIN LACKS=CULTURE UNIQUENESS, INTELLIGENCE, SO CALLED NATIVE IBERIANS LOL EVEN THE NAME ESPANA COMES FROM HISPANIA A NAME GIVEN BY THE ROMANS , AND IBERIA GIVEN BY THE GREEKS TO THE PENINSULA
@murggik LOL! More blatant display of your ignorance and cluelessness, you dumb charlatan. The oldest castle known is Doue-la-Fontaine in France, and it dates to the mid 900s.
@murggik LOL! Your stupidity is only exceeded by your ignorance and clumsiness:
Iberian
c.1600, from L. Iberia, ancient name of the Spanish peninsula, from Gk. Iberes "Celtic people of Spain;" also the name given to an Asiatic people near the Caucasus. Of unknown origin, but the word as applied in Spain is believed to be related to the River Ebro. (Online Etymology Dictionary)
So not only is the Greek "Iberes" very likely derived from the NATIVE name "Ebro", but it also actually means "CELTIC people of Spain". It is so much fun to debunk your own idiocies and desperate lies by using the very own data that you clumsily try to use against Spain, LOL!
@HunterOfDuIlards NOW ALLOW ME TO HUMILIATE YOU HUNTEROFSPANIARDS, THE REAL PROBLEM WITH YOU SPANISH MONGRELS IS THAT YOU MAKE TO MAKE THE WORLD BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE PURE NATIVE INHABITANTANT FROM THE PENINSULA AND WANT TO MAKE BELIEVE EVERYTHING IN SPAI AT LEAST 85% NO LESS IS ORIGINAL UNIQUE AND NATIVE OF SPAIN,AND NEVER CREDIT THOSE WHO MIGRATED INVADED AND CONQUERED SPAIN LONG BEFORE COLUMBUS , AND GAVE SPAIN THEIR CULTURES. YOU ARE SIMPLE BASTARDS.
"The secret of the falcata was in its manufacture, from the finest Spanish steel, which made it so sharp and durable that would cit through almost any armor and was known to break the Roman sword of this period, a weapon of Greek design and not yet the true gladius of later years. (cont.)
@HunterOfDuIlards ARABS CONQWUERD SPAINS WITH ARAB STEEL WHICH WAS ONE OF THE BEST SWORDS DURING THE MOHAMMEDAN TIMES , BUT NOTHING BEATS THE JAPANESE SAMURAY SWORD IN THE WORLD SO FORGET THE FALCATA PIECE OF SHIT YOU KNUCKELHEAD
@murggik Idiot, the best European steel of the Middle Ages was that of Toledo, Spain:
"A fine sword of Toledo Steel was the standard for a crusading knight going to do battle in the Holy Land." - Peter Stone, David Lyon, Patricia Harris, "Pauline Frommer's Spain", Volume 20, page 91.
"Coming down to modern times, one finds that steel was being made all over Europe, in Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Austria and England. Spanish steel was considered the best for armours and sharp instruments required for violent usage. They hid the process of their manufacture with a great secrecy. Even to-day nothing certain is known about that process." - A. R. Roy, "Swedish steels", Official proceedings of the New York Railroad Club, Volume 21. Page 2504.
@HunterOfDuIlards EVEN KING CHARLES V OF SPAIN WAS A MARRANO, YOU CANT DENY THAT, A MARRANO WAS HOW A JEW OR ANYONE WHO HAD DIRECT JEWISH ANCESTRY WAS CALLED IN SPAIN, ,MAN ,THAT WAS THE KING OF SPAIN A MARRANO, WHO,S SUPPOSED TO BE ROYAL ,BLUE BLOOD LOL, ,IF THAT WAS THE KING'S CASE , CAN YOU IMAGINE THE REST OF THE POPULATION OF SPAIN? THAT PROVE,S I'M RIGHT, BUT SPANIARDS WANT TO PEOPLE IN LATIN AMERICA TO LOOK UP TO THEM AS PURE NATIVES OF SPAIN AND BE ADMIRED AND HATE THE REST.LOL
So superior was this weapon, that when Scipio captured Cartagena in 209 B.C.E., he captured a number of Spanish ironsmiths and forced them to teach his own smiths how to manufacture the falcata, which the Romans then adopted and called the gladius hispanicus or sword of Spain." - Richard A. Gabriel, "The great armies of antiquity", page 200.
"Scipio the Elder noted the quality of the Spanish swords when he landed in Ampurias in 128 B.C.; and Scipio Africanus, after he took Cartagena in 209 B.C., captured numerous Spanish sword-smiths there and forced them to manufacture weapons for his own troops. The Romans called this sword gladius hispanicus - sword of Spain. (cont.)
@HunterOfDuIlards SPAIN HAS GIVEN ITALY NO CULTURE , ITS ALL THE OPPOSITE SPAIN RECEIVED LATIN CULTURE FROM ITALY , AND ALSO IT WAS THE ROMANS WHO INTRODUCED TO SPAIN THE LATIN GUITAR WHICH HAD 4 STRINGS AND THE ARABS INTRODUCED TO SPAIN ALSO THE OUD , AND THE FIRST 6 STRING GUITAR WAS MADE N SWEDEN , SPAIN IS NOT CREATIVE , YOU ARE JUST A BUNCH OF CAVEMEN, YOU DONT INVENT ANYTHING ANYTHING , SO FUCK OFF
@HunterOfDuIlards NOTHING IN SPAIN ORIGINATES FROM NATIVE PEOPLE OF SPAIN, THEY WERE TO STUPID, EVERYTHING SPAIN HAS HAS BEING INTRODUCED VIA INVASIONES, MIGRATIONS, CONQUESTS FROM OTHER NATIONS TO SPAIN.
"Another scholar emphasizes the complexity of the guitar's metamorphosis from five-course to six string between 1740 and 1790 and the significance of the work of SANGUINO... The prevalence of the six-course guitar in Iberia is a vital aspect: The date of the addition of the sixth string to the guitar is uncertain. (cont.)
@HunterOfDuIlards YOU LIAR , THE LATIN CHTARA INTRODUCED TO SPAIN BY THE ROMANS, IN GREEK WAS NAMED KHITARA, TAR MEANS STRING, THAT INSTRUMENT WAS NOT ORIGINAL OF SPAIN NEIGHTER THE CASTANETS WHICH WERE INTRODUCED BY THE PHOENITIANS TO SPAIN AND IT IS USED IN MIDDLE EASTENER COUNTRIES NORTH AFRICA AND SPAIN BECAUSE SPAIN WAS HEAVILY INFUENCED BY SEMITIC PEOPLE LONG BEFORE JESUS
@murggik Idiot, we've been over this before. The castanets were used even by your Roman heroes, LOL! And the modern six-string guitar is obvious of Spanish inspiration.
Respond to this video...NOTHING IMPORTANT IN HISTORY ORIGINATES FORM NATIVE PEOPLE OF SPAIN NOTHIN,G SPAIN HAS RECEIVED EVERYTHING FROM MIGRANTS, CONQUEROS, SETTTLERS FROM OTHER NATIONS AND SPAIN ADOPTS THEM .
@HunterOfDuIlards SPAINS NATIVE PEOPLE? LOL, THE ONLY NATIVE PEOPPLE OF SPAIN WERE THOSE BEFORE THE PHOENITIANS ARRIVED AND THE CELTS FROM THE NORTH , AFTER THAT ITS WAS ALL MIX, , YOU CANT CALL A CUBAN A NATIVE CUBAN IF HE/SHE IS ALL MIXED WITH OTHER RACES AND CULTURS, YOU CANT CALL AN ARGENTINIAN A NATIVE IF THEY ARE MIXED WITH SPANIARDS , ITALIANS AND OTHERS BESIDES INDIGENOUS, THOSE ARE MONGRLES OR MUTTS, NATIVE PEOPLE ARE ORIGINAL BOTH RACIALLY AND CULTURALLY
@murggik Why do you keep ignoring all the evidence you're told?
The vast majority of Spaniards are pre-Phoenician, but you can deny genetics all you want.
Yes, the Greek and Phoenician minorities in Spain did bring more knowledge to Spain, but you make it seem as if the rest of Europe, like France, Ireland, England, etc did not experience the same kind of cultural influences from the SAME minorities (Greeks, Romans, Goths).
You are an idiot, you contribute NOTHING, only lies and exaggerations.
@MoniesHonies The retarded little freak doesn't have any choice but to desperately try to ignore all the evidence debunking his idiotic lies. Does it sound familiar? Fooliveira, anyone? LOL!
@HunterOfDuIlards Hey Spanish , Portugese and Arab(especially Arab Moroccan , .Algerian and Tunisian are Many similar in common. You are Sibling..your culture, your heritage your Ancestor and Architecture ! you all must proud of it not fighting or insulting each other.OXJALA-OJALA-INSHALLAH=GOD WILL PEACE BOTH ABRAHAMIC AND ANDALUS CHILDREN
@sayyid14 Sorry, but your erroneous claims are not corroborated by either history ("Arabs" did not even make up 5% of the population of the Iberian Peninsula; consult: Richard Hitchcock, "Mozarabs in medieval and early modern Spain", 2008, page 2), anthropology (physical or cultural) or genetics (Spain is in fact the southern European country most genetically distant from North Africa and the Middle East; consult Simoni et al. 1999, Bosch et al. 2001, Dupanloup et al. 2004.)
@murggik Nope, idiot, because you have already been shown over and over again that your precious Phoenicians were nothing but a small number of people with trading enclaves in some coastal areas of southern Iberia, hardly anything important demographically speaking (Phoenicians even reached Britain.)
The Celts were certainly more numerous and their territories extended to about half of the Iberian Peninsula. No one has denied the Celt-Iberian nature of Spain's population.
@HunterOfDuIlards BEND OVER FORWARD AND SUCK YOUR OWN D!CK, SPANIARDS ARE LEFTOVERS FROM MANY PEOPLE THAT CONQUERED SPAIN , YOU ARENO PURE NATIVE PEOPLE AT ALL, TOO MIXED WITH DIFFERENT BUT YOU PRETENDT TO BE UNIQUE TO GET RESPECT FROM LATINOES , AND MAKE THEM BELIEVE THAT SPAIN GAVE THEM CULTURE ,BUT IS ALL THE OPPOSITE , EVERYTHING THAT SPAIN INTRODUCED TO LATIN AMERICA IN THE 1500S HAD ALREADY BEIND INTRODUCED TO SPAIN BY OUTSIDERS CENTURIES EARLIER, LYING IS SPAIN,S IDENTITY
Respond to this video... ESTE MALDITO MESTIZO MALDITO MESTIZO UNO KE TIENE MAS MEZCLAS KE UNA ENSALADA DE VEGETALES Y FRUTAS PERO RECHAZA A TODAS MENOS A 1 , HACIENSOSE CREER KE ESPANA ES UNA DIOSA KE NUNCA PERDIO UNA GUERRA O BATALLA, KE LUCHO SOLA CONTRA LOS TURKOS EN LEPANTO SIN AYUDA DE ALEMANIES, ITALIANOS, SERBIOS Y OTROS, KE SE CREE LA REYNA SIENDO UNA PROSTITUTA VIOLADA POR TANTOS KE LE DIERON CULTURAS
@murggik ¡jajajaja! Payaso ignorante, aqui el unico "mestizo" resentido y charlatan eres tu. Lamentablemente para tus fantasias, ni la historia, ni la antropologia, ni la genetica estan de tu lado.
It is clear, however, that during the last decades of the 18th century in SPAIN, the phrase "para guitarra de cinco o seis ordenes" was commonly used in printed editions of guitar music. Indeed, the six-course guitar (as opposed to an instrument with six single strings) appears to have flourished only in Spain, since all the extant six-course instruments and all of the published methods for the six-course guitar derive from the Iberian peninsula."
@HunterOfDuIlards ROMAN CATHOLIC RELIGION OR FAITH ,ORIGINATED IN ITALY, INTRODUCED TO MOST OF EUROPE , SPAIN ADOPTS IT OF COURSE, AND IN THE 1500S, SPAIN CLAIMS IT ORIGINATED IN SPAIN AND LATER TRANSFER IT TO MEXICO NORTH SOUTHAMERICA, , THATS HOW THINGS WORKD IN SPAIN, 1) BORROWS FROM OTHERS, 2) MAKES SOME SLIGHT CHANGES TO IT 3) CLAIMS IS AS ITS OWN , JUST LIKE THEY,VA DONE WITH LATIN THE MAIN ORIGIN OF SPANISH LANGUAGE TODAY, SPAIN IS FAKE
@murggik Christianity is of Jewish origins, dumbass, and it spread to Europe from the Jews in Italy:
"The first Christians in Rome were Jews, about eight thousand of whom initially settled in Trastevere (Itinerary 12) after the Diaspora when Jewish settlers dispersed throughout the Roman Empire." - Matilda Webb, "The churches and catacombs of early Christian Rome", Sussex Academic Press, 2001. Page XI
@HunterOfDuIlards CONTRIBUTOSN BY NATIVE PEOPLE OF SPAIN? LIKE WHAT? METAL WORKING IN EARLY SPAIN? THE CHINESE HAD THEIR METAL WORKERS AS WELL, SO DID THE BABYLONIANS, PERSIANS, IN AFRICA SOME TRIBES FORGEC BRASS FOR OVER 3 THOUSAND YEARS, THE EGYPTIANS FORGED GOLD OVER 3500 YEARS, WHAT DID THE NATIVE PEOPLE OF SPAIN BEFORE THE PHEONITIANS , CARTHAGINIANS, ROMANS, JEWS, MOORS, CELTS , CREATE BEFORE THEY ARRIVED IN THE PENINSULA? THEY HAD NO WRITING SYSTEM , NO MATH NOTHING
@murggik LOL! Hypocrite ignoramus, as MoniesHonies already pointed out for your dumb & self-defeating arse, all your retarded "arguments" fit your Roman heroes much better than to the Celt-Iberian peoples of Spain: the Romans copied virtually everything, from their mythology to their weapons, from the Greeks first and foremost, and virtually all the peoples they came in contact with during their expansionism.
Some authorities say the Roman legions were using swords of this design perhaps as early as the 1st Punic War, but these would have been copies, not of the same quality as the Spanish-made ones. Certainly the gladius hispanicus was in use in the Roman legions by BC, when it was used against the Macedonians. This would have been the true gladius hispanicus, as described for the Celt-Iberians." - Terence Wise, Richard Hook, "Armies of the Carthaginian Wars, 265-146 BC", page 20.
@murggik So it is well documented that the mixed people of Italy were very eagerly copying the swords of the Celt-Iberian peoples of Spain, dumbass. Thanks again for allowing me to humiliate & debunk your retarded charlatan arse in public, dumbass.
@HunterOfDuIlards OHOH LET ME REMIND YOU THAT THE FIRE WEAPONS THE SPANISH USED IN THE 140-1500,S, CANNONS, AND RIFLES WERE MANUFACTURED IN GERMANY , EVEN IN THE LATE 1800S DURING THE SPANISH-AMERICAN WAR IN CUBA THE SPANISH USED GERMAN MAUSER RIFLES WHICH WERE THE MOST ACCURATE ,ALSO THE SPANISH COPIED THE GERMAN MACHINE GUN MG-42 FROM WW2 AND MADE AN IMITATION THEY CALL NOW AS AMELI, SPAIN IS NOT CREATIVE IN ANYTHING, SPAIN ADPTED ROMAN CATHOLICISM FROM? ITALY , ANS ISLAM FROM THE ARABS
@murggik It seems that the history of artillery is not "your thing" either, jackass of all trades. Spaniards were making their own guns and ammo in the Middle Ages as well:
In 1481 the Moors of Granada were using artillery, but were deficient in ordnance. The Spanish army in that year was also poorly equipped and Isabella ordered large amounts of artillery and ammunition in CASTILE and LEON; small guns (lombards) were in use in 1482, cannon and stone balls were MADE AT HUESCA in 1483, and the Moors were then using artillery. - James Riddick Partington, "A history of Greek fire and gunpowder", page 123.
@HunterOfDuIlards YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU FUKING MESTIZO =MIXED PUNK, WHO PRETENDS TO BE OF ANCIENT NATIVE PEOPLE OF SPAIN WHILE REJECTING THOSE WHO GAVE MORE CULTURES FROM OUTSIDE OF SPAIN, I CONDEMN YOU ,
@murggik Imbecile, Christianity originated in the Middle East, among the Jews, and it spread to Europe via the Jews of Italy, the very nation your retarded & hypocrite arse tries so hard to suck up to, LOL!
@HunterOfDuIlards MALDITO RENEGADO, MALDITOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TE LO DIGO EN ESPANOL PARA KE TE DUELAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ASKEROSO, BASURA GENETICA, PRETENDES SER DE UNA RAZA NATIVA SIENDO UN MIXTO, PARA KE ASI TE ALAGUEN EN AMERICA LATINA Y CREAN ESOS KE FUERON COLONIZADOS POR LA CUNA DE LA CIVILIZACION DE EUROPA KE USTEDES DICEN ES ESPANA KE AUNKE DIGAN ESPANA ES MADRE PATRIA LES DIGO KE ESPANA TIENE MUCHAS MADRES PATRIAS MUCHAS KE LA CONKISTARON KE EL DIERON CULTURAS PERO AHORA SON UNOS RENEGAOS
@HunterOfDuIlards and tehy romans conquered spain like ythe spanish conquered indians in what's called latin america with german made fire arms, cannons and riflews that were made in germany and spain used to buy them from germany. lol dieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
the so called falkata a short single edge sword used by the mixed people of spain was never adopted by the romans, the romans always fought with their own weapons ,shiled and legion formations
phoenitians ,celts ,greeks , romans, jews , gypsies, gemanic tribes, arabs, muslims, all have heavily influenced spain cutturally and genetically, the espanoles as they call themselves today are just leftover remnants of of those people including the native cavemen from spain before them which have no culture nor spoke (SPANISH) language which is a mix of at leats 4 dirrefent languages, celtic-native, LATIN as its main source, greek and arabic.spain results being a nation of different nations
@murggik Most of those groups of people you mentioned (Germanic tribes, Gypsies, Phoenicians, Arabs, "Muslims") were/are only minorities. Greeks, Phoenicians, Romans, and Arabs did culturally influence early "Spain", but they were minorities.
The Spaniards had culture before the Greeks. There were different levels of advancement, but there were definitely tribes with culture all throughout the Peninsula.
Every language has influence from VARIOUS sources...
Wtf* is this discussion with multiaccounts. This is a video about Portuguese Art: Azulejo - whish was copied and inspired in Arabic, Mujedar (but also Lusoeuropean stile in particular) and In Spain in its own ways- some here maybe were yet Moorish of course(depends of what places were caught on Camara) Moorish with a strong input stiles in Spain but some in Portugal.
With Mujedar masters inspiring much Artists later. Portugal would restablished this art XIV and XV centuries onwards.
"Restablished" because on those times Berbers and "Arabic" dynasties already expeled from Portugal and Ceuta, Tanger, Arzila would soon be conquered by Portugal(1415s) - and in Spain remain only the Muslim Granada Kingdom.
Those stiles, some Greek-roman indirect legacy or Moorish direct lagacy (in part like these ones) had particular evolutions - and Portugal would adopt some of its own - the Portuguese Azulejo.
Spain also but with another vast form of Moorish inspired Arts.
We already know the strong Arabic and Mooerish legacy to the world in this Abstract Art - as the Bizantine, Oriental etc., Muslim but Christian also - but we have much to discovery on ancient Iberian-Mediterranean-Atlantic legacy in this Spiritual Art.
Spain is not part of the Arab world, but there is a long history between the two. Putting religion aside, the Mediterranian Arabs and other countries in the Mediterranian do share things in common. It is just naturual, from centures and centures of trade and interaction with each other. Again religion aside, the Greeks and the Lebanease/Palestinians/Syrians do share some cultural norms. Same goes with the Spaniards and northern Moroccans. They are so freaken close neighbours for God's sake :)
@love1232006 If by cultural norms you mean the traditional opression of women in Mediterranean regions, you are right. That was an aspect of ancient greek culture, long before the arab influence in the region.
Nowadays however, trade and interaction between Spain, Portugal and Morocco are not important. Geographic proximity does not mean cultural proximity. That proximity existed during the roman empire and the muslim rule, a long time ago.
@murggik arab countries? They are Europeans countries! The arabs and Spanish share nothing in common, they aren't even of the same religion...why so people always want to associate the Iberian peninsula with the Arab world? Spain does not need the arabs and the arabs don't need Spain....it's all history!
Well, Spain and Portugal are great nations indeed and yes, they do share nearly an 800 years of history with the Arab world which means lots of cultural and racial mixing and this can not be erased just because someone doesn't want it to be said or written. Associating Spain and Portugal with the Arab world is not a bad thing. This association is part of what makes Spain and Portugal so unique.
@donttry101 Spain and Portugal are quite different culturally believe me...they don't even like each other. Mixed racially with Arabs? Not according to recent genetic studies done throughout the Iberian Peninsula....the only places that have an "arab" and possibly genetic influence are southern spain and portugal. Northern Spain is very different culturally. You've obviously not traveled a lot in Spain or Portugal.
@thekingofmoney2000 Not even Andalusians cluster genetically with North Africans or Middle Easterners:
ht tp://tiny. cc/NcexX
Needless to say neither do the rest of Spaniards. In fact, the area of sharpest genetic change in all the Mediterranean is between Spain and Morocco/Algeria.
@donttry101 spain is not unique, having arabic culture doesnt make spain and portugal unique ,just makes them arab colonies ,offshoots or leftovers of arabs in spain, not uniqueness
@donttry101 YAWN! We have heard all these lies and manipulations before. There was no "800 years of history with the Arab world" anywhere in the Iberian Peninsula. The only place in Spain to remain nominally Islamic for 781 years was Granada, in the deep south, and then again the bulk of the population were not "Arabs" but NATIVE people who converted to Islam:
ht tp://tiny. cc/jkmkR
Read page 124. Spain is in fact the southern European country most genetically distant from "Arabs".
@711Sami that means 35% of spanish are arabic berbers and moors, the remaning are jews converted to christianity, visigoths, romans, greeks, celtic, phoenitians, and natives which had no name for themselves vbefore the phoenitians settled 1200 years before christ in the peninsula ,got that stupid hunterofspaniards??
@murggik No, what anyone can "get" from reading your retarded & debunked posts is that you are a desperate little idiot who goes around making up "facts" that are not backed up by any evidence. Far from your delusions, Spaniards are the southern Europeans most genetically distant from "arabic berbers and moors (sic!)" and Jews:
@HunterOfDuIlards lol the most distant europeans from arabs and berbers the spanish lol, yo cant hide that the arabs and moors conquered spain the only country they ruled in europe ,and thats what hurst you the most ,because you got raped raped raped by the arabs and moors, fuck youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
@murggik No, idiot, learn how to read, the SOUTHERN EUROPEANS most genetically distant from North Africans and Middle Easterners. Yes, it has been shown several times by population genetics.
@murggik Idiot, once again I remind you of such "inconvenient" facts as: 1- Roman Italy even had a whole dynasty of North African and Middle Eastern emperors and they conquered other areas of Europe (Septimius Severus even died in York, England, while planning his next campaign against the Scots, LOL!) 2- Southern Italy was also invaded by the later Muslims 3- There's even Muslims in the Balkans TODAY due to the incursion of the Ottoman Turks into the region.
@murggik LOL! Clown, once again I remind your dumb, debunked and resentful arse that your precious "Arabs and Moors" did not even make up 5% of the population of the Iberian Peninsula (consult professor Richard Hitchcock's, "Mozarabs in medieval and early modern Spain", 2008, page 2.)
@HunterOfDuIlards lol the most distant europeans from arabs and berbers the spanish lol, yo cant hide that the arabs and moors conquered spain the only country they ruled in europe ,and thats what hurts you the most ,because you got raped raped raped by the arabs and moors, fuck youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
"Had the sea distance been the main isolating factor, we would have expected greater genetic differences in the eastern part of the Mediterranean. Exactly the opposite appears to be the case. The genetic boundary separating northern Morocco and Algeria from southern Spain appears as the zones of sharpest genetic change..." - Simoni et al. (1999) Patterns of Gene Flow Inferred from Genetic Distances in the Mediterranean Region. Hum Biol; 71:399-415
@HunterOfDuIlards looser, look here you bastard yes you bastard because your parents left you behind in spain after they converted to christianity and went back to north africa=morocco your motherland . spain is the only nation in europe that uses castanets an arabic musicla instrument that originated in muslim egypt about 1000 thousand years ago, that's another proof of what spaniards like you are made of , got that? moor.lol, now bow and let allah fuk you up the ass .maldito moro arrepentido
@murggik Imbecile, the castanets are of pre-Islamic origin, even your Roman heroes used them as well:
"Although today castanets are associated almost exclusively with Spanish and Latin American music, the instrument is a very old one and was known in ancient Egypt and Rome." - Christine Ammer, "Dictionary of Music", 2004. Page 66
LOL! Thanks for letting me again humiliate you in public by showing your flagrant ignorance, payaso bastardo resentido medio-judio.
@HunterOfDuIlards castanets originated about 1000 yearss ago in muslim egypt , thats it and spain's the ony cuntry that uses it in europe ,yopu arab heritage fucker dont forget also your jewish heritage =20% . you resentful troll,
@murggik LOL! Sorry to burst your ignorant clueless bubble, jackass, but catanets are of ANCIENT origin, predating Islam by centuries.
LOL! Nope, even your Roman heroes used them:
"Although today castanets are associated almost exclusively with Spanish and Latin American music, the instrument is a very old one and was known in ancient Egypt and Rome." - Christine Ammer, "Dictionary of Music", 2004. Page 66
@HunterOfDuIlards I BUTT F**KED YOU AGAIN , LOOSER, THOSE ROMANS CONQUERED SPAIN AND RULED FOR 6 CENTURIES 6 CENTURIES ,IM NOT TALKING ABOUT 6 MONTHS, LOOK 600 YEARS AHAHAAHAHAHAAAND GAVE SPAIN CULTURE , NO OTHER COUNTRI IN EUROPE HAS RECEIVE ANY NATIVE CULTURE FROM SPAIN , BUT THE OPPOSITE ONLY,GREEKS, ROMANS, CELTS, GERMANIC TRIBES, JEWS, MOOR AND ARABS, GIPSIES WHO MIGRATED FROM INDIA TO EUROPE SPECIALLY SPAIN ALL GAVE FOREIGN CULTURES AND GENES TO SPAIN LOL , YOU MUTT,
@murggik LOL! Idiot, the population of Spain is mostly of prehistoric origins, with a considerable Celtic influence from remote antiquity. All the other people you mention were just minorities from historical times that left no important genetic contributions.
No influence from Spain's natives? LOL! Dumbass, the Roman armies conquered the world after they got a hold of the "gladius Hispanicus", just to give you one example.
@HunterOfDuIlards AND DID YOU KNOW THAT THE CARTHAGINIANS INVADED SPAIN AND PUT DOWN ALL RESISTANCE TO THE POINT THAT YOUR SO CALLED, NATIVE IBERIANS HAD NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TO JOIN THE CARTHAGINIANS IN SPAIN TO FIGHT THE ROMANS AND THE ROMANS LATER ON DEFEATED BOTH THE CARTHAGIANS AND YOUR SO CALLED NATIVE IBERIANS ALL TOGETHER DURING THE THIRD PUNIC WAR.LOL, PUNK
@murggik That "20%" is pure bullshit you made up while trying to use a shitty unsupported paper that claimed such a figure for IBERIA (not Spain alone, idiot.) And then again the genetic markers that they tried to use as "Jewish" were not really so, and could have been introduced in prehistoric times:
"They are really assuming that they are looking at this migration of Jewish immigrants, but the same lineages could have been introduced in the Neolithic." - Stephen Oppenheimer
@HunterOfDuIlards now tihs is very funny here, you hate italians dont you?and say now they are palestinians, sirians and jews correct? but once again i,ll remind you that those italians or ancient romans invaded and conquered spain also for 6 centuries ahahahaahahahaa, die mother FKR DIEEEEEEEEEE
@murggik No, I don't hate them, but I find your hilarious ignorance and even more blatant hypocrisy worthy of being exposed. And it is not I who say that Italians are the Europeans genetically closest to Jews, but actual genetic studies do. Learn how to read, dumbass.
@murggik This, by the way, is an undisputed study about your "Roman" heroes, though, hypocrite resentful troll:
Alla Katsnelson. Jews worldwide share genetic ties: But analysis also reveals close links to Palestinians and ITALIANS. Nature.com (June 3, 2010).
"But the study also found strong genetic ties to non-Jewish groups, with the closest genetic neighbours on the European side being ITALIANS, and on the Middle Eastern side the Druze, Bedouin and Palestinians."
@murggik On the other hand, your Italian heroes, dumb hypocrite, are in fact the Europeans closest to Jews:
Alla Katsnelson. Jews worldwide share genetic ties: But analysis also reveals close links to Palestinians and Italians. Nature.com (June 3, 2010).
"But the study also found strong genetic ties to non-Jewish groups, with the closest genetic neighbours on the European side being Italians, and on the Middle Eastern side the Druze, Bedouin and Palestinians."
@HunterOfDuIlards yes hunterofmonkeys, the italians are my heroes and so are they yours because if it wasn't for the romans=italians , there's be no spanish language because spanish uses latin language the language of ancient rome and all of italy ,as the backbone of spanish language got that fucker? you stupid mutt, you hiding the romans conquered spain for 6 centuries and gave spain latin=italian culture lol.get lost ,you opnlymaking a fool of yourself in front of millions
@murggik LOL! Idiot, I already showed you that they even had a whole dynasty of "Roman" emperors of North African and Middle Eastern descent (the Severan Dynasty) and that they even brought "Moorish" and Syrian troops to conquer Britain, yet you show your hilarious hypocrisy by trying to suck up to them, moron.
@HunterOfDuIlards lol, so the romans brought in sirian and moors to conquer britain? lol , the romansdidnt even last a cenruty in britain yet they conquered spain you bitch land for 6 centuries with sirians and moors lol, fuck youuuuuuuuuuu shaved-up moor, you bastard. i'd love to blow upall spain with u in it
@murggik Shit-head, the Romans (and their Moorish and Syrian soldiers and emperors) were in Britain for more than 300 years, and you have already been informed many times of the fact that they used Syrian and Moorish troops in their conquest of Britain, dumbass, so don't try to play "dumber" than you really are:
"The Notitia Imperii shows us that bodies of SYRIANS, CILICIANS, Spaniards, MOORS, Thracians, Dalmatians, Frisians, &c., formed the military colonists of the stations in BRITAIN; and when even the emperors themselves were often not of Italian birth, and the most trusted officers and governors provincials or even barbarians, we have no reason to suppose that any notable proportion of genuine Roman blood found its way to this country..." - John Beddoe, "The Races of Britain", page 31.
@HunterOfDuIlards THE NAME ESPANOLES CAME FROM HISPANIA , AS THE ROMANS CALLED THE PENINSULA AFTER THE GREEKS NAMED IT IBERIA LOL, FIRST THE ROMANS NAMED IT SPANIA, LATER AS HISPANIA AROUND 250 BC AND IT WAS CALLED LIKE THAT UNTIL THE 1400S WHEN IT WAS CHANGED TO ESPANA LOL, NOTHING IS NATIVE IN SPAIN NOTHING NOW COMMIT SUICIDE IS THE LEAST THING YOU SHOULD DO YOU PUPPET , , YOU,R EA PUPPET A STUDENT BECAUSE SPAIN HAD NEVER TAUGHT ANYONE ANYTHING OF ITS OWN BUT TAUGHT ALWAYS BY OTHERS
"We find Thracians at Maglona (Machynlleth) and MOORS at Aballaba (Appleby); elsewhere Batavians, Dalmatians, Spaniards, and even SYRIAN and Taifalic cavalry..." - Robert Owen, "The Kymry: their origin, history, and international relations", page 68.
"We know that there was no homogenous body of soldiery in BRITAIN.The legions contained SYRIANS, CILICIANS, Spaniards, MOORS, Thracians, Dalmatians, Frisians, etc., and this fact seems to be a clear proof of the growing paucity of Roman citizens in Italy and the provinces." - Charles McLean Andrews, "The old English manor: a study in English economic history", page 35.
@murggik LOL! Retard, you are comparing the Roman armies who conquered Iberia & Gaul with those that conquered Britain, which only shows your blatant ignorance. The late Roman armies -the ones that conquered Britain- were quite different than those early ones that conquered Iberia and Gaul. Those early Roman armies were truly Roman, dumbass. The late ones were a multi-cultural hodge-podge of North Africans, Near Easterners and Europeans. Even many of their emperors were not Roman in those times.
@HunterOfDuIlards BY THE WAY THE NAME IBERIA WAS GIVNE TO THE PENINSULA BY THE GREEKS IN SPAIN AROUND 500 BC,FROM A RIVER IN THE PENINSULA ALREADY NAMED EBRO, AND THE GREEKS ALSO NAMED IBERIA ANOTHER REGION NEAR THE BLACK SEA, IT WASNT EVEN KNOW HOW THE FIRST INHABITANTS OF THE PENINSULA CALLED THEMSELVES OR THE COUNTRY THEY LIVED IN, AND HISPANIA WAS ANOTHER NAME GIVEN BY THE ROMANS NOT NATIVE LOL, SPAIN HAS NO NATIVE CULTURE EVERYTHIG IS FOREIGN
@murggik What do you mean "it wasn't known what the first inhabitants called themselves"?
Several pre-Roman cultures and tribes existed: Astures, Cantabrians, Basques, etc. Those three tribes' names I mentioned still exist today (although their modern boundaries are much smaller). The Basque language still exists, and that is pre-Indo European...
@MoniesHonies the fact that spain was populated 3500-4000 years ago by 1 type of people, doesn,t mean spain wasn,t populated later by so many different people from other parts of europe, north africa and the middle east which gave spain most of its mixed cultures, the pheonitians for exampe were from asia minor=turkey, siria, lebannon, israel and settled in spain no less than 1200 years BC , and they introduced to spain the CASTANETS today spain,s national musical instrument later many others
@711Sami LOL! See if you can follow your own "advice" and get an education yourself, ignoramus. Arabic loanwords in Spanish do not even make up 4% of the lexicon (4000 words in out of more than 120,000 words in Spanish vocabulary), let alone the ridiculous 35% you claim, dumbass.
>By the 10th century, 75% of NATIVE Spaniards converted to Islam WILLINGLY,
LOL! You are actually proving me correct, clown. The large majority (90% +) of Muslims in Iberia were NATIVE CONVERTS, not "Arabs".
@murggik Your retarded claim is quite impossible since: 1- "Muslim" is a religion, and most Muslims in Spain just happened to be NATIVES who had converted to that religion 2- The only place in the Iberian Peninsula where Islam (again, a RELIGION) lasted for 781 years (not 800) was GRANADA, in the deep south.
LOL! Thanks again for allowing me to put your retarded, ignorant and resentful arse in its place, dumbass clown.
@MoniesHonies not at all monieshonies, that ignorant spanish like 99% of all spaniards wpuld be to embarrases to aknowledge what i write about them is true because they in the 16th cenruty conquered so much land for spain that;d they need to prove those(latinoes) and the rest of the world that spain is unique on it own which is all the opposite and they want to be looked upon as the best of europe being only leaftovers of so many different races and cultures introduced to spain long ago
@murggik "Leftovers of races and cultures"? What do you mean by that? Spain is an ancient country, much of its population is so old that you can trace their ancestors to the last glacial period, which is thousands of years ago.
Spain also is one of the Southern European countries with the least amounts of North African and Mid Eastern haplogroups in its native population.
Most Spaniards are obviously white.
Hunter is defending his heritage from liars and exaggerators, like you.
@MoniesHonies then later the celts from ancient GAUL =FRANCE ,THEN AGAIN THE CARTHAGINIANS from carthago invaded and conquered 1/3 of spain and heavily influenced spain also, then came the romans from italy and also began conquering spain around 225 BC AND introduced latin culture =italian culture , then alot of jews also lived in spain the germanici tribes around 417 AC , ALSO GREEKS established colonies in southerneastern spain , and then in 711 the moors ,those muslims and arabs conquered
@murggik YAWN! Another one of your dumb lies: the Carthaginians supposedly having "heavily influenced" Spain. We have been over this many times debunked lie, but let's deal with it again. It is well known to historians that the Carthaginians were only a small minority in Spain, the majority of their armies being actually composed of their Iberian and Celtic allies:
@HunterOfDuIlards and whatever you say the roman armies were made up of, you have to accpet the fact they they conquered your so called native iberian population and made them speak their language latin lol ,the romans subdued all of spain ,ruled it for 6 centuries looser.lol go commit sucide you bastard
@murggik Idiot, I never denied that the Romans conquered Iberia, but the ethnic make-up of their armies back then was truly Roman, unlike the multi-ethnic late Roman armies that conquered Britain, where the majority of the conscripts were from all over the empire, including North Africa and the Middle East, dumbass (sources already cited for your dumb debunked arse.)
@HunterOfDuIlards BOTH BRITAIN AND IRELAND AND GAUL=FRANCE WERE CELTIC BEFORE THE ROMANS ENTERED GAUL AND BRITAIN, IRELAND IS MODERN PROVE OF WHAT CELTIC PEOPLE LOOKED LIKE AND MOST SPANIARDS DONT LOOK CELTIC BUT NORTH AFRICANS , ,THE ORIGIN OF EARLIEST PEOPLE OF SPAIN WERE NOT CELTIC NOR SPOKE CELTIC LANGUAGE , THEY ARE BELIEVE TO ORIGINATED FROM NORTH AFRICA OR SOMEWHERE IN THE FAR EAST , LOL, LOOSER, I WISH TO MEET YOU SOME DAY AND SPIT ON YOUR FACE YOU MONGREL
@murggik LOL! Sorry to have to disappoint your delusions and fantasies again, but not even most Andalusians, who are the "darkest" population in Spain, look like North Africans, so let alone most Spaniards, dumbass.
@murggik LOL! Considering that you are some part-Jewish, part-Italian "Latino" troll I think that the only one qualified to be called a "MONGREL" around here is your retarded and resentful debunked arse.
"Carthaginian armies were mercenary armies, and their commanders did not possess the advantage of, say, Roman generals, whose troops were motivated by national pride and patriotism. More often than not, Hamilcar's armies, and later Hannibal's, contained only a minority of Carthaginians, the rest being tribal levies recruited during the campaign itself." R. A. Gabriel, "Great captains of antiquity", 2001. Page 116.
@HunterOfDuIlards remind you one more time MONGREL, when the early romans or italic people arrive in spain to conquer it about 200 BC , THE PENINSULA WAS ALREADY A MIXTURE OF NATIVE , PHOENITIAN AND CELTICS FROM GAUL =FRANCE WHICH YOU SPANISRD NOW HATE AND TALK SO MUCH SH1T ABOUT THE FRENCH, DONT FORGET THE CELTS WERE GAULS FROM MODERN FRANCE AND SETTLED IN SPAIN , INFLUENCED SPAIN BOTH GENETICALLY AND CULTURALLY, YET NO COUNTRY IN EUROPE HAS BEING INFLUENCED BY SPAIN ,JUST THE OPPOSITE
@murggik Hunter already told you with evidence (something you never bring) that the Carthiginians were minorities. He never denied that the Romans conquered Iberia, although it was one of the most difficult areas for them to conquer... and Hunter is right, they did adopt some of the weaponry (and also cavalry formations) from some of the native Spaniards.
Where are you from? I'm sure I can use your arguments for your countries of heritage.
@MoniesHonies no no no no you damn wrong again you hunterofbastards' defender.the carthaginians as i already stated here invaded spain and coloniced about 1/3 of spain put down all resistance by the mixed population of spain=natives+phoenitians+celtic= which you spanish liars now call them as pure native race and then became hannibal's allies because they had no other choice ,they were the conquered not the conquerors , and it was from hannibal that the romans copied his war tactics not others
@murggik Idiot, get it through your thick skull that I am the one who keeps bringing up real sources to refute your idiotic claims. The Carthaginians were only a minority, the bulk of their armies was made up of their Iberian and Celtic ALLIES, moron. They "colonized" nothing in Iberia.
The Phoenicians only had trading enclaves in some coastal areas of southern Iberia, dumbass.
@HunterOfDuIlards EVEN THE NAME IBERIA WAS GIVEN TO THE PENINSULA BY THE GREEKS NOT BY SO CALLED NATIVES OF SPAIN BEFORE THE GREEKS HAD COLONIES IN THE EAST OF THE PENINSULA ARPOUND 500 BC, THE ESPANA COMES FROM HISPANIA A NAME GIVEN BY THE ROMANS BUT FIRST THE ROMANS NAMED IT AS SPANIA ,LATER ON AS HISPANIA, NOTHING IS ORIGINAL NATIVE OF SPAIN NOTHING AND THERE IS NO PROVE PEOPLE MIGRATED FROM SPAIN TO THE REST OF EUROPE AFTER THE ICE AGE ,BECAUSE THE IRISH ARE CELTIC AND DONT LOOK SPANISH
@murggik Modern genetics says that prehistoric Iberians migrated northward after the ice melted.
You're just denyinng everything and being a dumb hypocrite.
LOL Much the Romans' knoowledge and culture came from the Greeks, and they adopted different things from the other parts of Europe they occupied (including Spain, as alreaddy has been proven in this thread)... so blame the Romans for being the biggest "copy cats" of ancient Europe.
@murggik Idiot, long before there were Celts (whose origins are the subject of much dispute) in either Iberia or the British Isles, there was already a pre-Indo-European population there. That's why it's hardly difficult to find Irish and Brits with "darker" features, the type of people your dumb clueless arse thinks are due to "North Africans" or "Arabs" from historical times when in reality they are due to the more remote inhabitants of Europe.
@murggik LOL! Dumbass, it has been known to British writers for a long time (long before genetics even existed) that the most "native" elements of the British Isles are clearly of pre-Indo-European origins, like the Iberians, Ligurians, Etruscans, etc. They knew this purely on anthropological and phenotypical grounds, much to your disappointment (your dumb arse probably thinks all the Irish are red-haired and with freckles, LOL!)
You can consult, for example, Grant Allen's "Anglo-Saxon Britain", or John Campbell's "Monumental evidence of an Iberian population of the British Islands" and see how easy to find these "darker" types of Europeans are among Britons (and not just back then, even today they are quite easy to find.)
"Hannibal's army included Celtiberians and Lusitanians, peoples of Celtic origin who inhabited the northern half of the peninsula. The majority of Hannibal's troops would, however, have been Iberians proper, from the southern half of the peninsula." Gregory Daly, "Cannae: the experience of battle in the Second Punic War", 2003. Page 95.
@HunterOfDuIlards you,re a looser , your so called native iberians ,who got the name as iberians by the greeks in spain about 500 BC WERE INFLUENCED BY THE REST OF EUROPE NORTH FRICA AND MIDDEL EAST, SO CALLED NATIVE PEOPLE OF SPAIN NEVER EVER INFLUENCED ANOTHER COUNTRY IN EUROPE, YOUUUUUUUUUU WERE INFLUENCED BY THEM , YOU ARE THE STUDENT , THEY ARE YOUR MASTERS , DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
@HunterOfDuIlards SPAIN BECAME INFLUENCED BY OTHERS BOTH GENETICALLY AND CULTURALLY, JUST LIKE SPAIN DID IN COUNTRIES IN LATIN AMERICA, WHAT THOSE SPANISH CONQUISTADORS INTRODUCED TO LATIN AMERICA WERE A MIXTURE OF CULTURES THAT SPAIN HAD ACQUIRED LONG LONG BEFORE KING FERNANDO AND ISABELLA ,LOL, LOOSER
@murggik And finally, retard, it's the other way around. The Iberian Peninsula had influence on the genetics of western Europe due to prehistoric migrations from there towards the north:
@HunterOfDuIlards even in modern times from the 1400,s to present, if we look at the many contributions and inventions european countries have made to modern science , spainis in the last place, even thugh is in western europe,, i give credit to the french , english, germans, italians, swedes, the dutch , austrians, , but the spanish are too spanish (stupid ) to be like the rest.perhaps because despite the fact the spanish are also leftovers of them ,its the native blood that makes u stupid
@HunterOfDuIlards THE SPANISH MONGRELS NEVER CREDIT THOSE COUNTRIES AND PEOPLES THAT LONG LONG TIME AGO MIGRATED TO , INVADED AND CONQUERED SPAIN AFTER IT WAS POPULATED BY SO CALLED NATIVE IBERIANS WHICH IS A NAME GIVEN BY THE GREEKS BY THE WAY ,THE CELTS FROM GAUL, OR CENTRAL EUROPE, THE PHOENITIANS , CARTHAGIANS, ROMANS , MUSLIMS, JEWS ,

hey u hunterofspaniards why dont you ever mention of the contributions the romans gave to spain, latin , the roman alphabet, goverment, rainnesance, the segovia roman aqueduct, and so many other things, what the falcata? lol, the romans always fought with the short doble edge roman sword, and legions. spain is just a offshoot of other peoples who entered invaded and conquered it . native peole of spain before the pheonitians were just a bunch of cavemen ,the spanish invent nothing
murggik 1 year ago
oh MY GOD THE ROMANS COPIED THE SO-CALLED FALKATA OF THE SPANISH OH MY GOD HAHAHAHA FUCK YOU, SHOUL;D I SAY SPAIN ACQUIRED THE ROMAN,S LANGUAGE LATIN WHICH ORIGINATED IN ITALYA AND BECAME LINGUA FRANCA OF THE PENINSULA AS VULGAR LATIN? SYSTEM OF GOVERMENT FROM THE ROMANS, THE RENNAISSANCE IN THE 1300,S FROM ITALY, ITALY CELEBRATED THE FIRST CHRISTMASS IN 1366, SPAIN ALSO ADOPTED THE ROMAN ALPHABET,MANY OTHER THINGS FROM ITALY,LOL, WHAT HAS SPAIN GIVEN TO ITALY ? THE FALCATA? LOL FUCK U
murggik 1 year ago
@murggik Idiot, the Romans imposed their language on all the peoples they conquered, not just in Iberia. And Spain is the only place in all Europe where a pre-Indo-European language (Basque) managed to resist and survive Romanization.
Idiot, the whole thing about Italy being the birthplace of the supposed "Rennaissance" is obsolote historiography. Plus more than half of Italy was under Spanish control during Spain's Golden Age.
HunterOfDuIlards 1 year ago
@murggik You seem to be too stupid to understand how important was the adoption of the Spanish sword by the Romans:
HunterOfDuIlards 1 year ago
@HunterOfDuIlards HOW IMPORTANT WAS THE SPANISH SWORD TO THE ROMANS ? JUST AS IMPORTANT AS THE GERMAN MAUSER RIFLE WAS TO THE SPANISH IN THE LATE 1800S LOL.
murggik 1 year ago
It is very probable that the revolutionary change was made in the type of sword employed, by the introduction of the so-called Spanish sword, which led the Romans TO THE MASTERY OF THE CIVILIZED WORLD. Suidas, following a lost portion of Polybius, Book XXIX, says that the CELTIBERIANS excelled other nations in the manufacture of swords;... the Romans... abandoned their national sword for the Spanish type. - Howard Hayes Scullard, "Scipio Africanus in the second Punic war", pp. 94-95
HunterOfDuIlards 1 year ago
@murggik And retard, the Spanish sword is hardly Spain's only contribution to Roman history. Spain gave Rome some of its greatest emperors (Hadrian, Trajan, Theodosius), writers (Seneca the Elder and Seneca the Younger), and the fact that Spain was one of the most prized areas of the Roman empire already should have given you a clue that what you babble is pure ignorant resentful nonsense, clown.
HunterOfDuIlards 1 year ago
@HunterOfDuIlards HOW IMPORTANT WAS THE FALCATA TO THE ROMANS? JUST AS IMPORTAN AS LATIN THE LANGUAGE OF THE ROMANS WAS TO THE PEOPLE OF SPAIN , JUST AS IMPORTANT AS THE LATIN GUITAR INTRODUCED TO SPAIN BY THE ROMANS, THE ROMAN AQUEDUCT OF SEGOVIA , THE ROMAN ALPHABET TO THE PEOPLE OF SPAIN, THAT'S HOW IMPORTANT IT WAS, THE ROMANS TRADED IT LATIN, THE ALPHABET , SYSTEM OF GOVERMENT, ROMAN ARCHITECHTURE AND MANY OTHER THINGS TO SPAIN IN EXCHANGED FOR A FALCATA SWORD ,ALL SPAIN COULD GIVE
murggik 1 year ago
@murggik The Spanish sword is but one example. The pilum and the pugio, important in Roman warfare as well, were also "borrowed" from the Iberians.
HunterOfDuIlards 1 year ago
Btw, I had argued with Hunter on early civilization in Spain. I stated that civilization started in what is now Mexico before it started in Spain (still believe that), and that the ancient tribes in Spain didn't have writing until contact or influence from Greeks/Phoenicians.
So no, Spaniards aren't superior, and in fact, Hunter never claimed that either. I did learn much more about Spain after reading and exploring many of the sources he's cited, so I do respect his comments on YT.
MoniesHonies 1 year ago
Is there a group of people that is completely "unmixed" in this world?
MoniesHonies 1 year ago
the so called falkata a short single edge sword used by the mixed people of spain was never adopted by the romans, the romans always fought with their own weapons ,shields, catapults, cavalry and legion formations
murggik 1 year ago
MoniesHonies 1 year ago

@HunterOfDuIlards IF YOU COMPARE SPAIN WITH ITALY, SPAIN HAS GIVEN NOTHING OF ITS OWN TO EUROPEA OR THE REST OF THE WORLD THAT IS NATIVE OF ITS FIRST INHABITANTS, CASTLES FIRST APPEARED IN ENGLAND AROUND 1066,NOT IN SPAIN , SPAIN ONLY COPIES IMITATES NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES,ITALY HAS GIVEN EUROPE WHAT SPAIN LACKS=CULTURE UNIQUENESS, INTELLIGENCE, SO CALLED NATIVE IBERIANS LOL EVEN THE NAME ESPANA COMES FROM HISPANIA A NAME GIVEN BY THE ROMANS , AND IBERIA GIVEN BY THE GREEKS TO THE PENINSULA
murggik 1 year ago
@murggik LOL! More blatant display of your ignorance and cluelessness, you dumb charlatan. The oldest castle known is Doue-la-Fontaine in France, and it dates to the mid 900s.
HunterOfDuIlards 1 year ago
@murggik LOL! Your stupidity is only exceeded by your ignorance and clumsiness:
Iberian
c.1600, from L. Iberia, ancient name of the Spanish peninsula, from Gk. Iberes "Celtic people of Spain;" also the name given to an Asiatic people near the Caucasus. Of unknown origin, but the word as applied in Spain is believed to be related to the River Ebro. (Online Etymology Dictionary)
HunterOfDuIlards 1 year ago
So not only is the Greek "Iberes" very likely derived from the NATIVE name "Ebro", but it also actually means "CELTIC people of Spain". It is so much fun to debunk your own idiocies and desperate lies by using the very own data that you clumsily try to use against Spain, LOL!
HunterOfDuIlards 1 year ago
YOU ARE SIMPLE BASTARDS.
murggik 1 year ago
"The secret of the falcata was in its manufacture, from the finest Spanish steel, which made it so sharp and durable that would cit through almost any armor and was known to break the Roman sword of this period, a weapon of Greek design and not yet the true gladius of later years. (cont.)

@HunterOfDuIlards ARABS CONQWUERD SPAINS WITH ARAB STEEL WHICH WAS ONE OF THE BEST SWORDS DURING THE MOHAMMEDAN TIMES , BUT NOTHING BEATS THE JAPANESE SAMURAY SWORD IN THE WORLD SO FORGET THE FALCATA PIECE OF SHIT YOU KNUCKELHEAD
murggik 1 year ago
@murggik Idiot, the best European steel of the Middle Ages was that of Toledo, Spain:
"A fine sword of Toledo Steel was the standard for a crusading knight going to do battle in the Holy Land." - Peter Stone, David Lyon, Patricia Harris, "Pauline Frommer's Spain", Volume 20, page 91.
HunterOfDuIlards 1 year ago
"Coming down to modern times, one finds that steel was being made all over Europe, in Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Austria and England. Spanish steel was considered the best for armours and sharp instruments required for violent usage. They hid the process of their manufacture with a great secrecy. Even to-day nothing certain is known about that process." - A. R. Roy, "Swedish steels", Official proceedings of the New York Railroad Club, Volume 21. Page 2504.

Yes, the Greek and Phoenician minorities in Spain did bring more knowledge to Spain, but you make it seem as if the rest of Europe, like France, Ireland, England, etc did not experience the same kind of cultural influences from the SAME minorities (Greeks, Romans, Goths).

HunterOfDuIlards 1 year ago
Some authorities say the Roman legions were using swords of this design perhaps as early as the 1st Punic War, but these would have been copies, not of the same quality as the Spanish-made ones. Certainly the gladius hispanicus was in use in the Roman legions by BC, when it was used against the Macedonians. This would have been the true gladius hispanicus, as described for the Celt-Iberians." - Terence Wise, Richard Hook, "Armies of the Carthaginian Wars, 265-146 BC", page 20.

@murggik It seems that the history of artillery is not "your thing" either, jackass of all trades. Spaniards were making their own guns and ammo in the Middle Ages as well:
HunterOfDuIlards 1 year ago
In 1481 the Moors of Granada were using artillery, but were deficient in ordnance. The Spanish army in that year was also poorly equipped and Isabella ordered large amounts of artillery and ammunition in CASTILE and LEON; small guns (lombards) were in use in 1482, cannon and stone balls were MADE AT HUESCA in 1483, and the Moors were then using artillery. - James Riddick Partington, "A history of Greek fire and gunpowder", page 123.

murggik 1 year ago
@murggik Most of those groups of people you mentioned (Germanic tribes, Gypsies, Phoenicians, Arabs, "Muslims") were/are only minorities. Greeks, Phoenicians, Romans, and Arabs did culturally influence early "Spain", but they were minorities.
The Spaniards had culture before the Greeks. There were different levels of advancement, but there were definitely tribes with culture all throughout the Peninsula.
Every language has influence from VARIOUS sources...
And again: Basque, pre-Indo European.

Luso515PorTuoGraal 1 year ago 3
"Restablished" because on those times Berbers and "Arabic" dynasties already expeled from Portugal and Ceuta, Tanger, Arzila would soon be conquered by Portugal(1415s) - and in Spain remain only the Muslim Granada Kingdom.
Those stiles, some Greek-roman indirect legacy or Moorish direct lagacy (in part like these ones) had particular evolutions - and Portugal would adopt some of its own - the Portuguese Azulejo.
Spain also but with another vast form of Moorish inspired Arts.
Luso515PorTuoGraal 1 year ago 3
We already know the strong Arabic and Mooerish legacy to the world in this Abstract Art - as the Bizantine, Oriental etc., Muslim but Christian also - but we have much to discovery on ancient Iberian-Mediterranean-Atlantic legacy in this Spiritual Art.
Luso515PorTuoGraal 1 year ago 2
Spain is not part of the Arab world, but there is a long history between the two. Putting religion aside, the Mediterranian Arabs and other countries in the Mediterranian do share things in common. It is just naturual, from centures and centures of trade and interaction with each other. Again religion aside, the Greeks and the Lebanease/Palestinians/Syrians do share some cultural norms. Same goes with the Spaniards and northern Moroccans. They are so freaken close neighbours for God's sake :)
love1232006 1 year ago
@love1232006 If by cultural norms you mean the traditional opression of women in Mediterranean regions, you are right. That was an aspect of ancient greek culture, long before the arab influence in the region.
Nowadays however, trade and interaction between Spain, Portugal and Morocco are not important. Geographic proximity does not mean cultural proximity. That proximity existed during the roman empire and the muslim rule, a long time ago.
XISatu 1 year ago
@murggik arab countries? They are Europeans countries! The arabs and Spanish share nothing in common, they aren't even of the same religion...why so people always want to associate the Iberian peninsula with the Arab world? Spain does not need the arabs and the arabs don't need Spain....it's all history!
thekingofmoney2000 1 year ago
@thekingofmoney2000,
Well, Spain and Portugal are great nations indeed and yes, they do share nearly an 800 years of history with the Arab world which means lots of cultural and racial mixing and this can not be erased just because someone doesn't want it to be said or written. Associating Spain and Portugal with the Arab world is not a bad thing. This association is part of what makes Spain and Portugal so unique.
donttry101 1 year ago 3
@donttry101 Spain and Portugal are quite different culturally believe me...they don't even like each other. Mixed racially with Arabs? Not according to recent genetic studies done throughout the Iberian Peninsula....the only places that have an "arab" and possibly genetic influence are southern spain and portugal. Northern Spain is very different culturally. You've obviously not traveled a lot in Spain or Portugal.
thekingofmoney2000 1 year ago
@thekingofmoney2000 Not even Andalusians cluster genetically with North Africans or Middle Easterners:

Northern Spaim was 30 years under muslim rule and northern Portugal 150 years.
Spain expelled his muslim population in 1613.
But yes, there is some degree of racial mix mostly in southern regions of both countries.

HunterOfDuIlards 1 year ago
@HunterOfDuIlards and whatever you say the roman armies were made up of, you have to accpet the fact they they conquered your so called native iberian population and made them speak their language latin lol ,the romans subdued all of spain ,ruled it for 6 centuries looser.lol go commit sucide you bastard
murggik 1 year ago
@murggik Idiot, I never denied that the Romans conquered Iberia, but the ethnic make-up of their armies back then was truly Roman, unlike the multi-ethnic late Roman armies that conquered Britain, where the majority of the conscripts were from all over the empire, including North Africa and the Middle East, dumbass (sources already cited for your dumb debunked arse.)
HunterOfDuIlards 1 year ago
@HunterOfDuIlards BOTH BRITAIN AND IRELAND AND GAUL=FRANCE WERE CELTIC BEFORE THE ROMANS ENTERED GAUL AND BRITAIN, IRELAND IS MODERN PROVE OF WHAT CELTIC PEOPLE LOOKED LIKE AND MOST SPANIARDS DONT LOOK CELTIC BUT NORTH AFRICANS , ,THE ORIGIN OF EARLIEST PEOPLE OF SPAIN WERE NOT CELTIC NOR SPOKE CELTIC LANGUAGE , THEY ARE BELIEVE TO ORIGINATED FROM NORTH AFRICA OR SOMEWHERE IN THE FAR EAST , LOL, LOOSER, I WISH TO MEET YOU SOME DAY AND SPIT ON YOUR FACE YOU MONGREL
murggik 1 year ago
@murggik LOL! Sorry to have to disappoint your delusions and fantasies again, but not even most Andalusians, who are the "darkest" population in Spain, look like North Africans, so let alone most Spaniards, dumbass.
Andalusians (reputedly the "darkest" Spaniards):
watch?v=6c1fqNdrmrs
North Africans:

Conclusion: get some eyeglasses, dumbass clown.

Page 116.
HunterOfDuIlards 1 year ago
@HunterOfDuIlards remind you one more time MONGREL, when the early romans or italic people arrive in spain to conquer it about 200 BC , THE PENINSULA WAS ALREADY A MIXTURE OF NATIVE , PHOENITIAN AND CELTICS FROM GAUL =FRANCE WHICH YOU SPANISRD NOW HATE AND TALK SO MUCH SH1T ABOUT THE FRENCH, DONT FORGET THE CELTS WERE GAULS FROM MODERN FRANCE AND SETTLED IN SPAIN , INFLUENCED SPAIN BOTH GENETICALLY AND CULTURALLY, YET NO COUNTRY IN EUROPE HAS BEING INFLUENCED BY SPAIN ,JUST THE OPPOSITE
murggik 1 year ago
@murggik Hunter already told you with evidence (something you never bring) that the Carthiginians were minorities. He never denied that the Romans conquered Iberia, although it was one of the most difficult areas for them to conquer... and Hunter is right, they did adopt some of the weaponry (and also cavalry formations) from some of the native Spaniards.
Where are you from? I'm sure I can use your arguments for your countries of heritage.
MoniesHonies 1 year ago
@MoniesHonies no no no no you damn wrong again you hunterofbastards' defender.the carthaginians as i already stated here invaded spain and coloniced about 1/3 of spain put down all resistance by the mixed population of spain=natives+phoenitians+celtic= which you spanish liars now call them as pure native race and then became hannibal's allies because they had no other choice ,they were the conquered not the conquerors , and it was from hannibal that the romans copied his war tactics not others
murggik 1 year ago
@murggik Idiot, get it through your thick skull that I am the one who keeps bringing up real sources to refute your idiotic claims. The Carthaginians were only a minority, the bulk of their armies was made up of their Iberian and Celtic ALLIES, moron. They "colonized" nothing in Iberia.
The Phoenicians only had trading enclaves in some coastal areas of southern Iberia, dumbass.
HunterOfDuIlards 1 year ago
@HunterOfDuIlards EVEN THE NAME IBERIA WAS GIVEN TO THE PENINSULA BY THE GREEKS NOT BY SO CALLED NATIVES OF SPAIN BEFORE THE GREEKS HAD COLONIES IN THE EAST OF THE PENINSULA ARPOUND 500 BC, THE ESPANA COMES FROM HISPANIA A NAME GIVEN BY THE ROMANS BUT FIRST THE ROMANS NAMED IT AS SPANIA ,LATER ON AS HISPANIA, NOTHING IS ORIGINAL NATIVE OF SPAIN NOTHING AND THERE IS NO PROVE PEOPLE MIGRATED FROM SPAIN TO THE REST OF EUROPE AFTER THE ICE AGE ,BECAUSE THE IRISH ARE CELTIC AND DONT LOOK SPANISH
murggik 1 year ago
@murggik Modern genetics says that prehistoric Iberians migrated northward after the ice melted.
You're just denyinng everything and being a dumb hypocrite.
LOL Much the Romans' knoowledge and culture came from the Greeks, and they adopted different things from the other parts of Europe they occupied (including Spain, as alreaddy has been proven in this thread)... so blame the Romans for being the biggest "copy cats" of ancient Europe.
MoniesHonies 1 year ago
@murggik Idiot, long before there were Celts (whose origins are the subject of much dispute) in either Iberia or the British Isles, there was already a pre-Indo-European population there. That's why it's hardly difficult to find Irish and Brits with "darker" features, the type of people your dumb clueless arse thinks are due to "North Africans" or "Arabs" from historical times when in reality they are due to the more remote inhabitants of Europe.
HunterOfDuIlards 1 year ago
@murggik LOL!
HunterOfDuIlards 1 year ago
You can consult, for example, Grant Allen's "Anglo-Saxon Britain", or John Campbell's "Monumental evidence of an Iberian population of the British Islands" and see how easy to find these "darker" types of Europeans are among Britons (and not just back then, even today they are quite easy to find.)
HunterOfDuIlards 1 year ago
"Hannibal's army included Celtiberians and Lusitanians, peoples of Celtic origin who inhabited the northern half of the peninsula. The majority of Hannibal's troops would, however, have been Iberians proper, from the southern half of the peninsula." Gregory Daly, "Cannae: the experience of battle in the Second Punic War", 2003. @HunterOfDuIlards you,re a looser , your so called native iberians ,who got the name as iberians by the greeks in spain about 500 BC WERE INFLUENCED BY THE REST OF EUROPE NORTH FRICA AND MIDDEL EAST, SO CALLED NATIVE PEOPLE OF SPAIN NEVER EVER INFLUENCED ANOTHER COUNTRY IN EUROPE, YOUUUUUUUUUU WERE INFLUENCED BY THEM , YOU ARE THE STUDENT , THEY ARE YOUR MASTERS , DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
murggik 1 year ago
@murggik And by the way, debunked ignoramus, those Carthaginian armies ended up invading southern France and Italy:

HunterOfDuIlards 1 year ago
@HunterOfDuIlards SPAIN BECAME INFLUENCED BY OTHERS BOTH GENETICALLY AND CULTURALLY, JUST LIKE SPAIN DID IN COUNTRIES IN LATIN AMERICA, WHAT THOSE SPANISH CONQUISTADORS INTRODUCED TO LATIN AMERICA WERE A MIXTURE OF CULTURES THAT SPAIN HAD ACQUIRED LONG LONG BEFORE KING FERNANDO AND ISABELLA ,LOL, LOOSER
murggik 1 year ago
@murggik And finally, retard, it's the other way around. The Iberian Peninsula had influence on the genetics of western Europe due to prehistoric migrations from there towards the north:
HunterOfDuIlards 1 year ago
@HunterOfDuIlards even in modern times from the 1400,s to present, if we look at the many contributions and inventions european countries have made to modern science , spainis in the last place, even thugh is in western europe,, i give credit to the french , english, germans, italians, swedes, the dutch , austrians, , but the spanish are too spanish (stupid ) to be like the rest.perhaps because despite the fact the spanish are also leftovers of them ,its the native blood that makes u stupid
murggik 1 year ago
