Just got back from Camp Belize 2012 Week 1. San Pedro is a wonderful place to be. This song sums up the experience in a nut shell and made me cry last week when he sang it and again tonight when I found it. Thanks for everything Jerry Jeff and Wet Willy's Bar!

I've been to Camp Belize 6 times in 5 years and this is the song I listen to as we fly out of BZE on the way home. I've seen a lot of grown men with tears rolling down their faces on that flight. Jerry Jeff really did find "the Luchenack of the Caribbean". Hope y'all can join us one day.

We've been here a week or so, Now it's finally time to go. Can't believe how quickly time has flown, Packin' up the bathin' suits, Getting out the cowboy boots, That's a sign we must be going home.... Time just stopped for a little while, We were part of a tiny island. Made a lot of friends we'll keep for life. When we get back home to Texas, And they ask us what we missed most, I'll shrug my shoulders, and I'll smile....

Yeah we did, he did two shows we went down for, and then he played at the bar next to our hotel.

The flight down we got to Belize City, and we were standing in line waiting to get on our plane to Ambergris Caye. I saw this guy walking up with a guitar and I thought I wonder if he's going to be playing with Jerry Jeff and then about 2 seconds later it him me. It was Jerry Jeff!!!!!

He chatted with us a bit then got in line behind us to put his shoes. And we flew to Ambergris Caye with him on a 14 seat plane. he sat right in front of me. He tuned a ukelele and sang and played a little.

It was beyond amazing. Greatest week of my life.

I know exactly what you mean ..I went in 2001 to San Pedro to see him and the whole time we were like there's Jerry Jeff ! In the streets ,it was funny .But I went with friends who knew him for years(Bart in this song) and met him .He is an awesome person .And Belize is an awesome place :)
