  • Well....He Tells Tim Russerte on "Meet the Press"..9/7/08...that adding troops to Iraq "would make the refion more dangerous' and voted against the surge....HERE...he says the General "was right"........Obama will say anything to Destroy America and promote SOCIALISM. WORST PRESIDENT EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 4 years later....How's that economy doing? Socialist/Marxist piece of crap.....

  • I love this President's eloquence! hahah"glidepath" holy smokes

  • Lets hope he does what he says....wait a minuet what did he say again? more war more war more war more war more war more war.....

  • he maybe colors his hair gray to look more mature

  • I like Barrack Obama he doesnt play games, seems focused and disciplined, and able to make the tough decisions.

    In other words... (leadership material)

Never did feel that way about McCain or Palin.

Good thing we got the right person in there for the job. =]

  • Doesn't play games? Are you fucking kiddin? You're being spoon fed bromine bullshit by CNN aren't ya? Seems focused? What a joke. He answers questions in a round-about way. It takes John McCain about 5 seconds to answer a simple question and takes Obama about an hour to find a way to NOT answer it. Able to make tough decisions? At all major decisions in senate he didn't vote. He merely voted present to aviod making decisions. He is NOT leadership quality.

  • the root of extremist violence is worldwide poverty, health epidemics, illiteracy, and environmental degradation. The military cannot address these.

  • And I think that with Barack Obamas peaceful attitude towards other countries he wont be so "triggerhappy" as the Bushes have been. And plunge us into an unwinnable war of oil, religion and the differences bewtween the United States and the Middles East.

  • Well Guess what Jvforever, you obviously haven't seen a full perspective of Barack Obama's plan. Not by any stretch of the imagination will he be throwing money away. Instead he will be putting it to good use and subtracting our troops slowly. As the war dies down more of our money will be put towards national security, making peace with the Middle East, and if it doesn't work out having a steadier hand before we enter ourselves into another war as George Bush Sr. and George W. Bush has.

  • O-blah blah blah. Continue the phoney war on terror. Close your eyes america....can you see it...can you see the change? Don't open your eye's, it will ruin it.

  • No its not just you...I think Obama has aged a little as well. I think some of the ignorant people have given Obama some grey hairs during this election, and he'll probably grow more throughout his time as President. LOL! I wish him luck, he seems like a good person and seems to mean well when it comes to this Country, thats all I can ask as an American...is that we have leaders that takes on responsability and accountability. Finally, some commen sense in the White House.

  • Well said.

  • Is it me or has he visibly aged during this short period of time?

  • he stop dying his hair.

  • no its not you... stress can do lots of damage

  • Good luck Mr. President (i love calling him that..)!!!

  • You know what needs to happen? People in the news should stop saying things are going to get worse. That scares people into buying less, and makes things worse. If you tell people things will be fine soon, they will be. It's the way capitalism works.

  • hmm , i wonder if that same principle would have worked when the dems said there was no problem with the housing market . i guess if we only believe there isn't a problem , there really isn't .

i can just think i don't have cancer , and it's gone , i can just think there is no such thing as homicidal terrorists and there wont be , LOL , yeah we aren't in this mess because of corrupt politicians , clueless consumers and greedy executives , it's the media's fault LOFL . JV

  • I think I should have rephrased myself. But I think it is partly due to the fear mongering in the media.

    Peace.

  • More war, more corporate handouts, more government debt, loss of civil liberties and more big government. Where's the change?

Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.

And the New World Order moves forward.

  • I work for the New World Order.

    gsuitter - you're on notice.

  • I work for the Zionist Conspiracy. I swear rossde, we'll take you NWO dogs down, along with those Illuminati freaks.

  • Damn. Can't beat that.

    ...

I'll have to call in my alien overlords.

  • zed4785 rossde what can I say, Thank you.

  • What Would John Mcain Do? LOL probably tell libs to shut up and there was no rescission.

  • Why didn't Sarah Palin ever go on Meet the Press? Or any Sunday talk show?

Thank You America, for voting for brains over bimbo!

  • Man I love listening to lawyers talk.

  • I'm loving Obama filling key positions with people who are going to tell him what he needs to know not what he wants to hear.

After 8 years of "loyal Bushies" this is *so* refreshing. There will be no "Good job, Brownie!" moments in this administration...or at least vanishingly few.

  • Obama is such a nerdy show off!!!

  • yeah, day-and0night effect with Bush... he stuns me with his stupidity...

  • He say in the short-term!!

Stop being dishonest. Or is that asking too much from you?

  • stop being dishonest? where have you been living? these people feed on dishonesty and hypocrisy

  • Hollyhood, How much is he looking to spend "in the short term"?

  • he's simply going to throw more money at failed policies , our money , because he's obviously an intelligent puppet , but even he wouldn't back some of these idiotic proposals , it's easier to allocate funds when they aren't your own funds .

this bailout thing is a conflict of interest , the people that will pay have no say in the matter , the people who are siphoning all the money from us are giving it away like candy .Don't be fooled , the bailout hearings are posturing for both sides.JV

  • In a recession it is common sense to go on deficit spending for a short while. Of course it won't have been a short while, since Bush and co. have been ruining Clinton's surpluses with deficit spending for eight years.

  • Prognost, That would be a good idea, if the things taxpayer money is being spent on were wise investments. But hundreds of billions of dollars went to banks, who are holding onto the money or spending it on other banks. And now the auto companies are likely to receive a bailout. That might be okay if they were profitable companies - but then again, if they were profitable, they probably wouldn't need bailouts.

  • He (Eric Shinseki) was right.

Wolfowitz was wrong. Rumsfeld was wrong. Cheney was wrong. Bush was wrong.

  • and McCain was right. (the surge)

  • Obama was right, the Iraq war shouldn't have even happened! Therefore a need for a surge should have ever surfaced!

  • Excellent point by Tom Brokaw, pointing out that if america has 'the right' to go after reliable targets, then does India has the same right? I wish he would have pushed further. If India doesn't. then why not? Why does America have this right and no one else? Why does Iran not have such a right, for example? It exposes one of the main reasons why America has become so hated worldwide in the past decade is because of this self granted moral highground that the US unequivocally grants itself.

  • He said that every nation, when invaded, has the right to defend itself. This could mean that India, in this case, has that right. What I would have liked him to be asked is: How far does this right go? Does it also apply to Iraq, Palestine, Chechnya?

  • I don't want ANYMORE fucking bailouts. What have we become, a bailed-out "free market" economy?? Come on! Where's your faith in the market? Bailouts are totally unnecessary, like that $700 Billion recommended by moron Henry Paulson, who has no economic expertise and was simply a banker before he became Treasury Sec.

  • Hilary as Sec. of fucking State- what a joke! I don't have confidence in her for a second. She's not even a fucking New Yorker! She's a phony from Chicago who moved to NY just so she could run for Senate. Why didn't she just run from Illinois? Who knows.

  • Let the auto industry fail and let the market correct its mistakes. They've screwed up the past few decades and haven't been able to compete, so it's time to let them off the leash. No bailouts, no excuses. Deal with the workers and help them transition to new jobs after they're laid off, but don't bail out the automakers. They're just gonna screw up even more if they get the bailout, and they'll ask for even more later on. It's insane. "free-market" CEOs asking for gov't funds. WTF!

  • You would rather have the economy fail than allow the inevitable transition to a more stable socialism-based system occur...why?

It's obvious that capitalism is not a stable long term economic solution. As a people, we need to move on to a better economic foundation. Its impossible for companies to correct mistakes when the system they operate in is fatally flawed.

  • If we can't worry about the deficit now, when CAN we worry about the deficit, president-elect? We already ballooned the deficit under Bush, and even you've complained about that, but you wanna spend EVEN MORE??? Will you cut spending as soon as economic recovery does happen, if it happens before 2012? Let's not balloon the national debt any more and focus on making the programs that are already in existence work better and cut inefficient ones.

  • Obama, Bush, Reagan, all of them have one thing in common: This mistaken notion that gov't can "jump start" economic recovery. It really can't. Sure, maybe tax cuts and a few other things can speed up recovery (a little bit), but it still takes a long-ass while for economic recovery to happen. This problem isn't going away overnight, as much as Obama thinks he can do so. Besides, much of his 'recovery' plan is just dumb.

  • he was right !

  • Socialize the losses, privatize the profits !

And every1 who caused it, gets to keep their jobs ! R they fucking kidden ?

  • Who is going to bailout the American people when we r to big to fail ?

  • Not only does bailing out the big three keep american people employed..it also gets invests money into companies that sell american products, paying american taxes and on american soil. If these companies fail, so do the american people...sooner then later. Wallstreet is who DIDNT need a bailout. You want to see a real national crisis? Let these 3 auto companies dwindle out of business. You then will have a half a million more unemplyd and no big company money paid as consumer tax.

  • f-f-f-first page!

  • 3rd!

  • the situation with GM and chrysler is seriously worrying is there any effective solution

  • If there is a solution, no one in America seems to know what it is.

However, there won't be a solution if they don't get a bailout, and bankruptcy leads to their liquidation.

An American Automotive Industry is important to me, both professionally and as a matter of pride. I hope Obama, the only president we seem to have at the moment, gets us through this.

  • wow Obama is good
