To that "Hungarian" coat of arm, its not Hungarian. It was coat of arm of HUNGARIAN KINGDOM, a former country of Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia and Romania. So we have full right to use it just like Hungary. Anthem is based on Slovak folk song Kopala studienku, you say that there is also a Hun. version of it? So? We were in 1 country for almost 1000 years and since it is a FOLK song then the author is unknown. People were mixing for centuries here.

How can you argue the point about Slovaks moving abroad for jobs.Type Slovakia and look at the facts and immigration in a highlight of their current situation. Trust me I know this for a fact. that's right.. but how does it relate to Hungarians adoring Slovakia? :o) Well, I am Slovak living in Prague now... I moved to the Czech republic 4 years before Czechoslovakia split... Now I have a free job, a photographer... I am prod to be Slovak, but I am not a nationalist... I adore everyone who is good at his job or talented people... No matter what nationality he/she is :o)

This is very amusing like stupids like you can embarrass themselves:) What do you think this double cross means and why is on your flag? Double cross is symbol of orthodox church and was symbol of Byzantine empire, place from where christianity came to Slovaks in 9th cnt , since than is in use here.You took christianity from catholic Rome in 11th century which symbol is plane cross and symbol of Hungarians are white and red strips.Your flag bears ancient symbol of Slovaks, history is quite fun:)

I am living in amazingly beautiful Slovakia, we are world champions in icehockey, my country is developing 5times faster than Hungary, your economy is worst performing in EU, Slovakia's is best, we are richer not only financially but obviously also culturally. You are living in Hungary which is weak and poor, on todays map.

But above all Slovaks are Icehockey World Champions! We are best of the best in major world sport, dream of dreams...there is no other small nation capable to achieve success of our scale. You should be there..world cup in our hands, ten of thousands Slovakian flags in the air, there was no other sound on the Earth, just our anthem. Tierr01..Even a three year old would tell you that Hungary is much better than Slovakia. They are a more prosperous and bigger than you. Why do Hungarians and Slovaks hate each other??? I thought all of you people lived happily like in a child's bed time story. I smell trouble for some areas of Slovakia that might want to join Hungary and breakaway from Slovakia. It can happened. Three years old maybe but they can't read so I am surprised with your comment and don't worry about that it would never happen in Southern Slovakia there are 36% of Hungarians and 64% of Slovaks, we are aware of our responsibilities as majority towards them, they are precious for our cultural diversity no problem with that.Definitely not more prosperous, you are American so why you don't try to find something on CIA World fact book - google it, select country and economy, you will see yourself.

I have been to both countries yours and Hungary and It didn't take me long to figure out who is better off. It is obvious you don't follow world events because your government opposed Kosovo's independance for the same reason that you are afraid it can happen to you-Trust me there are people thinking of this. Yes I make many many many spelling mistakes due to my super fast but inaccurate typing speed-Call me stupid I'll allow you to do so.I went on a two month vacation with friends and found that your country was the poorest. Horrible experience and I don't plan on ever going back. The EU has not brought you any benefits at all.

Slovakia with GDP per capita 20.750$ had GDP growth in 2007 10.3% by inflation 2.8% and public debt 34.8% of GDP
Hungary with GDP 18.700$ per capita had GDP growth in 2007 1.4% by inflation 8% and public debt of 70.2%...but of course you can reply you think that you know better because BigMac was bigger in Budapest than in Slovakia and if you allow me I would prefer to not openly offend you.

And about situation in Slovakia, we had Hungarian petition for referendum about Autonomy in Komarno and it was signed by 13 Hungarians and they parliamentary party opposed this act. Hungarians in Slovakia have every right possible and their party has been member of previous government,life here is better,there is nothing we are afraid of in Southern Hungary,why exactly is this difficult to understand for you?

Anyway let me point once again 64% of inhabitants of Southern Slovakia are Slovaks, have you ever heard about autonomy for 36%? That way or another even in this autonomy they would be just minority so we will have basically another Slovakian State.
And we support Serbia also because we feel related we are all Slavs, brothers in Slavic blood - one heart, one soul and because treaty was signed with them and was broken and you are right whatever happened to them happened to us, we are with them!
