  • "my little mamy" hi hi yes Judy was a small mamy hi hi.....

  • 'Remember when I used to get down on one knee..?'

  • this is the only version of this song I can enjoy :P

  • I think of my second mom louise and cry when I hear this. She died suddenly. And her daughter cremated her because she wanted to save that insurance money. Psychotic.

  • Undeniably one of the greatest performers of all time.

  • Two dislikes? Whom will like this beautiful song, and exelent performer?

  • @JOB13SALAZAR More importantly, who cares?

  • i think she was crying, if you look closely at 0:50 - 0:53

  • @rileyrossi Its sweat under her eyes

  • @princessjoots ohk sorry, i thought it looked like she was crying

  • @rileyrossi It's ok :)

  • i'm currently watching this on tv and online nuff said

  • judy garland actually sang this song on her show with oh maybe donald o connor.... this song reminds me of judy even if it wasnt for her but anyways i love this song as liza sings it

  • Listen to her Live at the Olympia soundtrack. In her introduction for this song she says it's very old but her favorite :)

  • one of my all time favorite Liza performances -- but it has nothing to do with Judy as Liza has said many times; first of all, she was "Momma," not Mammy LOL and Judy probably never stepped in Alabamy or Alabama for that matter :) j/K Alabama ppl -- if anything, it's a "take" on the Al Jolson style of yore ... Judy never sang it (that I know of at least); this and "Shine On Harvest Moon" from the HBO New Orleans special are my favorite performances on film of the greatest live performer ever

  • so sad, so sad. all of us out there wanting her mom and she did it, she did it. she did her mom...for us.....it really sucks ..but Liza does it well, what a talent!!!

she looks just like her and performs with pizazz, damn she is as good as her mammy

  • so sad, so sad. all of us out there wanting her mom and she did it, she did it. she did her mom...for us.....it really sucks ..but Liza does it well, what a talent!!!

  • @JJJZANESVILLE2 Yet she always managed to be herself, and yeah she was undeniably Judy's daughter, but she also is herself. I feel like Liza is the one who finally conquered the family depression.

  • so sad, so sad. all of us out there wanting her mom and she did it, she did it. she did her mom...for us.....it really sucks

  • One of the classic "superstars"............true star power on stage...........she owns it! Love Liza!

  • First time seeing Liza with a Z. Wow, just wow.

  • to judy her mammy i love this song she actually sang it to her mom judy garland when she was alive

  • reminds me of judy she would have been proud and liza has got to be so proud of judy

  • more judy and liza please

  • Favorite Liza song. It is almost if she is singing it to Judy.

  • Liza was at her peak in 1972 and she could do no wrong -- winning an Oscar, an Emmy and a special Tony for her work that year. The sustained applause at the end of the number, of course, was for both her and Judy Garland whose spirit hung over the proceedings so nicely during this number. Judy had only been gone 3 years and now, Liza's star was burning bright and the audience saw the torch being passed and responded in kind.

  • I love the all Liza concerts and I have two of them on Dvd

Liza live at the radio city music hall

    and of course

    Liza with a Z

but i think one of her bests is one live in Tokyo parts of it with billy Stritch, you can find it on youtube too

  • Liza always gives 110% to her performances. I nearly cried at the end. Quite Touching. Especially since I treat my mother like a queen. Anything for my 'mammy.'

  • There is no one like her..there never will be!

  • I sincerily cried...one of the best performances ive ever seen

    Amazing

  • Wow, she got me all teary eyes. What an amazing performer. She is an amazing singer who has a great ability to communicate her emotions.

  • Jolson would like it. I sure do.

  • I saw Liza live in concert a few weeks ago when she was in Perth on her Australian Tour and she performed this song and she did it really well. I loved her in her prime when she was younger but even though he voice is a little deeper now and she can't hold a note as long as she used to be able to she is, and always will be, a shining star and she even jokes about not being able to get down on one knee anymore lol. She's a class act :).

  • The sun shines best with you Liza!

We love you so much, you and Judy will never leave us :).

  • Jolson? mmmmmm: Thanks, Ladies-Liza, Judy- Blessings and Love!

  • To Kath and her Mammy- God Bless you both. xx/L

  • I was not a Liza Minnelli fan-til this song. Wow-she made it own!

  • Liza has a habit of that! ;-) Have you heard the album to "Liza's at The Palace" Its amazing!

She does this song on it and Billy Stritch is on piano. That combo of two extraordinary talents is beyond insane talent

  • I'll say, great album :). Liza is spectacular.

  • Absolutely breathtaking...

  • She is at her best!

    Great moments of showbiz!

    Thanks Liza with a "Z"!

  • crazy brilliant

    liza minnelli, ladies and gentlemen!

    judy would be SO proud!

  • i'm breathless--she's the consummate performer! Liza in her prime was tops; she still can sell the hell out of a song but back then she had a reservoir of energy & stamina.

  • i guess a love affair with Al Jolson's music runs in the genes. lol.

im glad it does cause both her and her mother take songs like mammy and rock a bye your baby and make them their own

  • What a belter, obviously runs in the family.

Regards from Australia and thank you.

  • I love this performance! They play it alot on Showtime. If you like this, watch Kristen Chenowith sing Taylor the latte boy. That will really make you smile:)

  • powerful, beautiful, brilliant...that's all i can say

  • god she was good

  • LIZAAA I LOVE YOUUU

  • I can watch her do this song over & over!

  • A legend in her prime.

  • And people need to see her in her prime to understand. So glad this is on youtube.

  • @lelandb123 a legend period!

  • Thank, God. If everyone performed a song the same it would be pretty boring.

  • yeah but his was the best and when people think of my mammy they think of the original version, which was the version he used, not this variation.

  • Lol, imagine her with Jolson's voice.

  • thanks!

  • she is soooo cute!

  • Yay Liza!!!

  • I appreciate your comments. Have a great day!

  • This is so amaaazing. Liza is so soo soo GIFTED... My absolute favorite performer.

  • As far as I am concerned, my all-time favorite is Dame Shirley Bassey, and then Liza. What a performer!

  • Yes, I love Shirley Bassey.

But, I like the way Liza's voice sounds and the way that her emotions while she's singing has carried her so far. My favorite.

But I like your favorite too!!

  • she was amazing!!!!!we were so close to her!fantastic evening!

  • i'm going to see her tonight at symphony hall in birmingham...i can't wait!!!

  • wish was coming with you! i saw her in manchester 2 days ago and she was OUTSTANDING and on TOP of her game JUST like the 'old days'!!! so have an AWSEOME time! xx

  • I saw her last October and she was just Fabulous, I must say my freind and me were the youngest people that went lol i'm 19 and we were so proud to be there :D

    what a legend!

  • I saw Liza yesterday at Bridgewater Hall in manchester... She did this song and it brought tears in my eyes..

She's such a fabulous person.. And she's still got it!

  • I've been waiting for this version for so long thanks!
