I have found Masashi Hamauzu's music to be excellent since my Saga Frontier II days, but I didn't expect him to compose something that would make me glad that he was the composer rather than Nobuo Uematsu. I don't know what the rest of FFXIII's soundtrack is like, but that's how I feel about this track alone.

It's a shame that when you stack FF7 and FF13 against each other its not even a contest. It's a shame that half of this game is a tutorial. It's a shame that the developers even admitted that they made it so extremely linear because they concentrated on the special effects while FF7 had one of the largest world maps in final fantasy history. THATS a real shame.

I will agree that some people who talk about FF7 need to play others like 6 or 8 before proclaiming that 7 is the best, but i have played every game in the series besides 9, and from what i have heard about it i would probably like it anyways. Im not saying 13 is a bad game. Im just disappointed that it was so extremely linear. I thought the combat was fun and the story was interesting.
