lol All my music, is now HD, as is my dog. he is HD, also, I have just declared that real life, is HD. I just ate an HD potato. I did all this on my iBody. Pass the marketing sauce please!
@matiasespina91 Virtual Guitarist was discontinued as of Jan 2008. So you're not really making much of an argument here for current consumers and users of virtual instruments.
@nsmadsen Don't agree with you there... Maybe Virtual Guitarist is discontinued, but that was not what the comment was about. It was about the quality of the plugin, and matiasespina91 has got a point there I think. There are definitely better plugins with more realistic sounds, but in the end it's down to preference and what you want to do with it.
@musician1971a What good is it to recommend a product that is no longer available on the market nor is it supported by the manufacturer? Three years is a long time in the software realm so who knows if it's even compatible with current versions of OS systems and DAW platforms? matiasespina91 may feel that it's a better plug-in, and that's more than fair, but the comment doesn't present any viable SOLUTION to current consumers looking for a virtual guitar instrument. That's my point.
@nsmadsen Like you I can only ASSUME what matiasespina91 really meant to say, but the way I read his comment it was not to recommend a product, but only to make a comparison. But maybe you're right that he did want to recommend or promote that plugin. And you're right about the 3 years thing ;-)
To really recommend another plugin though, one might want to check out Realguitar from Musiclab. Been playing around with it for some time now and it's very realistic of you know what you do.
@musician1971a Also some of the patches sound kinda dinky to me but some have a nice approach and touch. I've listened to demos on Vir2's website which sound much better than this as well and I definitely agree with you comment - it comes down to personal preference as well as how GOOD someone is at working with samples.
@nsmadsen And especially the last sentence is very true! You can make a superior plugin sound like a cheap GM module, and vice versa. So I guess musicians still have to be skilled. That's actually a relief ;-)
The Native Instruments has vst of high quality and is very real the sound of various like Chris Horns, Mojo, East and West. But in terms of quality this vst is well behind.
@EdgeOfMystery and im talking about the plugin. Sounds like they are buying into the everything hd ... "HD TV!" "HD SOUND!"" "HD ORGANIC TOMATOES!!!" lmao
@DJMC5ive I think that you say is HDTV and not its the same at all, HD, that means high definition if there is high definition, you can put HD.
And more, before television, HD has been used in tons of others things like PROTOOLS HD (standard of industry for recording audio). You can learn about it from the wikipedia HD disambiguation web-page
PD: Actually I know the way you said the HD thing and really can be just marketing...
@tranceemerson the idea is that its a joke, because their other plug-ins are the same quality, none of them are called hd, there is no SD legends, and HD is not a sound format. :P
@DJMC5ive lol I know there's not really an "HD" for audio, but more and more people are using the term for everything that's new. although, it is a logical step in defining audio quality. Oh well
OMG!!!! This is awful. At least learn to play the notes to the songs correctly. And the sounds...........I've got an old Casio that sounds like this. My old DX7 did as good of a banjo. I'm embarrassed for anyone using this.
Hey, I think I found a pretty good studio tool, too. It's called LearnHowToPlayThePianoOrganAndSynthAquireCubaseAndProduceYourOwnRecordLikeABigBoy. I just got it home from Guitar Center. We'll see how it works out.
Too many people are kissing the ass of Real Guitar. It's alright, but it sounds terrible compared to this. The audio demos for this sound a thousand times nicer than Real Guitar, imo. Real Guitar just sounds so plastic and lifeless.
Real Guitar by MusicLab blows the doors off of any "guitar" plugin out there! It has a unique way of letting you "strum" on the keyboard - it's unlike anything else and sounds GREAT!! :-)
dude...don't have a cow...i'm a guitarist, bassist, drummer and vocalist and i love this stuff...lemme tell you why...i don't have the technical skills of an engineer in a large studio and all of the high quality vst instruments (EastWest Quantum Leap, Vir2, ToonTrack) are already amp'd, mixed, compressed..etc...so i write songs with my guitar but when i'm recording i don't have to worry about finding the right mic for the guitar or 10 mics for the drums...the software does it for me
Have you every composed with Guitar Pro 5? and if so is there a piece of software that can replace it with """REALISTIC"""" software guitar, but still maintain the amazing easy input interface of Guitar Pro.
I mean literally you just type numbers of your computer keyboard and use some simple keyboard shortcuts for articulations like slides and harmonics, and voila!! you have composed some lead guitar in minutes.... Is there anything that can beat GUITAR PRO 5? i seriously doubt it!

Untelented peices of shit. How bout you go dedicate some time to and instument and actually learn it instead of flooding the world of fake musicians making it impossible for someone like to me to make a living off my passion and live a dream of touring. Thanks cunts!
These 'guitar emulators' do sound a lot better than they used to but they are still not going to fool anyone with 1/2 and ear. The Bass Guitar emulations pass these days but most of the 6 string emulations sound like a badly voiced Rhodes or somehting
Well I think they would fool 90% of ears today, especially given that people are used to recordings of real instruments being so heavily manipulated. In terms of rhythm guitar this sort of software is all you need to lay down songs, if you added a real guitar lead then you would be very hard pressed to tell the difference.
@krazykid2002k yes, out there I took a week downloading this with torrents, 3 DVDs with a download rate of 14 kb/s or less =/ but you'll get them in a week if you let your PC on day and night =)
I use it... great sound!

Their is a strandard of HD audio on bluray movies which is 48khz none compressed audio.

It's HD because the guitar samples are in 24bit 96khz so the product is called HD.
your not gonna get that benifit through youtube though.
