  • Thank you for bringing this point up. You are right in your statement, but what differentiates plants from animals is the 2 other traits listed (heterotrophs/move under own power at some point in life). There are several different taxonomic kingdoms that may have one or two of these traits, but it is only the animal kingdom that possesses all three of these traits. Every animal within the animal kingdom has these three traits, while plants do not have all three of these traits.
